Lago Vista has a small seating area inside. Most of the open area is outside, so try to go on a nice day. The food is ok. Had the nachos and taco sampler. The chips are homemade, which was great, but stay away from the rice and beans, by far the worst I've ever had. On a positive note, the carnitas were some of the best I've had. If I come back, that's what I'll get.

Fun & friendly atmosphere. It’s a small space with lots of charm. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Our waitress was amazing- very efficient and entertaining. The food came out piping hot; huge portions!We’ll definitely be back 😀

Delicious food, great atmosphere! Enjoyed eating on the shaded patio. Stuffed avocado was so tasty, with just the right amount of spice! Hubby’s burger was outstanding with ham and pulled pork and a cheese sauce with spicy Mayo. Hard to make a choice with all the great menu items, so we will be returning!

You would think that someone is a professional chef could cook a hambuger. The first time I got one it was beyond well done but like a fool I was going to try again and unfortunately that's how they must cook there burgers to a hockey puck. You buy a cheeseburger for $13 you would hope they k ow how to cook it but that's a NO. Well at least I know I'm never going back here TERRIBLE

THE CHICKEN ENCHILADAS ARE FIRE! Soooo delicious! I’ve had them a total of four times. Loved my pomegranate Margarita. Also, the steak burrito is delicious. think this is my new favorite Mexican food restaurant. I met the owner he is a chef from California and he let me sample a few of the items like sauces and cheese dip. Really nice patio with misting fans during the summer is a huge plus! Right by the water! They also allow leashed doggies on the patio.

Worth the drive. I had the shark baha taco, the puffy chicken taco and chips and queso. Everything was good but the shark baha taco was incredible. The amount of flavors in one bite was like a party in your mouth. I was working the day I stopped. I want to go back when not working and try the Margs. Tip of the hat to the owner and crew

I'm not quite sure how people claim this place is great. I have ate there twice and I can honestly say I will never waste my money there again. Ordered dinner for my daughter and I. She had the kids bean burrito which was a lot bigger than my chimichanga. The beans with my meal and in her burrito tasted like it was straight out of a can and the rice had no flavor what so ever. The chimi was supposed to be smothered in queso but looked like they put a couple spoonfuls on it. Not to mention it was 95% tortilla. The steak in it did not taste like it belonged in any kind of Mexican food. Such a disappointment!! My five year old wouldn't even eat the burrito because it was so bland.

Me and a buddy of mine came here after a round of Disc Golf. Boy, was it nice and refreshing to sit down and grab a bite after that hike. We had the beef and steak tacos, which were delicious. It's hard to get steak right. But this place has it down. Service was superb and knowledgeable of their menu. Asked what was good, and she gave me her favorites plus other options. Sounds like most everything is good here. Great place to grab a drink and some food. You should give it a try.

This place is great! Love the food! Very authentic. From the dogs to the burgers to the Chips a queso I was not disappointed! The only gripe I have about this place is, if you like to sweat while you eat, go here. Then desperately need to get the A/C in running order and need a few more cooks as well. The food is worth the wait for sure,but, when it's 100 plus degrees outside the last thing I want to do is sit down to a great meal and sweat all the way through it. More cook's for a little faster service time and definitely get the a/c working. I would go here again even if the A/C wasn't working

“THIS FOOD IS THE BEST IN THE WORLD!” This from the mouth of my five year old daughter. She enjoyed the cheesy fries and my wife and I had the special, which was the all you can eat chicken (we couldn’t do more than one plate, we tried!). This was ABSOLUTELY the BEST chicken I had ever eaten over any fast-food joint and most home cooked meals. The ambiance of this place is phenomenal and WAY better since they got booth seating. The staff was happy and eager to please and they make it a joy every time we come! One of the best “mini-vacations” away from the city. Will definitely come again.

My experience has been phoning in an order and it’s ready in 15 or so minutes. Tonight we ordered in person and waited 45 minutes for a sandwich with side salad. The table that was “before us” (when we asked about the delayed food) had four people who ate, had drinks, and to go boxes and left the restaurant before we ever got our food. Would not do again.

Lago Vista catered my son's birthday party about two week ago and the food was fantastic. They provided beef and chicken, soft tortillas and AMAZING homemade fried taco shells. Two weeks later the fried shells are still fresh in a ziplock bag. The beans an rice were great. The guests couldn't get enough of the pico. The catering was also reasonably priced. Would highly recommend them for catering.I haven't eaten at the restaurant yet but it is definitely on my list of things to do.

Went to try this local restaurant. Have been wanting to try it as every time we go by it's been busy. We ordered chips and salsa and queso for an appetizer. Not a fan of thick chips, white queso was too salty to eat . Food was hot didn't take long at all to get but my husband's fajitas had no flavor and the chicken was so chewy he couldn't eat it, the only thing that had flavor was the queso that had too much salt and beans were cold. My Chimichanga wasn't bad but not much flavor except for the white queso sauce. We are big fans of our local businesses and try to support them when we can. However this one we will not be returning to. But I did give 1 star as the server was very good! Had a smile on and was very accommodating.

I stopped in here because there weren't too many other places around to stop and get a meal. I was very pleasant surprised at the quality of the food, the friendliness of the staff, and their commitment to not spreading the virus. I had the Farm Boy Dog, which is a bacon-wrapped hot dog (made from bed brisket), topped with pulled pork. The dog and fries were wonderful! Fast and good, clean and welcoming! It's worth a trip back to this tiny town, just to eat here.
