⭐Totally didn't expect a store to have so many interactive things to do/try. The ferris wheels $1 per ride 😱 and there's atleast a dozen games everyone in the family can play. For example, bowling, T-ball/batting cage, arcade games, and the gigantic salt water aquarium that stretches over the ceiling. Worth going with the family at least once

An amazing shopping experience! They have a product for all your outdoor needs. The collection of stuffed animals is impressive. In addition, they have a number of small attractions to occupy the kids. And last but not least, you can satisfy your sweet tooth with a small confection store, They of course have a small cafe and bistro. This is a shopping experience you won't forget.

This is a nice store locatedin a great area. There is plenty of parking. The store is beautiful. Love the carousel in the middle. All of the taxidermy animals are wonderful to look at. The animated president is really cool. Unfortunately the staff is not quite as helpful or friendly as other Scheels I've visited

Very cool place. I have never been before and there was literally something there for everyone. We went on the ferris wheel and it was loads of fun. The staff was all really sweet and helpful as well.

I decided to surprise my girlfriend by taking her here to buy a new pair of rollerblades for an anniversary present. It was an absolute adventure of a date. We managed to find a pair she loved thanks to an employee named Matt. He helped her find a pair in the color she wanted and the size she needed. We'll definitely be back

This place is an amazing sport and outdoors store. They have everything and anything you could want for sports.. they have lots of options to choose from and many different brands. They even have a dang Ferris wheel in doors for $1 a ride.. that's insane!! The staff was very nice and the faculty was very clean. I wish they had more of these around the states.

Great selection on top brands for outdoor and athletic wear. They carry all the good brand of running shoes too. Great place to buy hiking boots. The store is huge and fu to walk around. There is a full-size ferris wheel you can ride and a nice cafe! There is a huge selection of smoking rubs and seasonings.

We visited the store for the first time this past Monday and absolutely loved it. Mandi helped us with an E bike, and we were really impressed with her helpfulness and the helpfulness of the staff in the bike shop. In the other departments that we went to, everyone was willing to help and knowledgeable. I LOVED this store!

It has everything you would ever need! This place has hard to find things that you won’t be able to find in any typical sports store Scheels has it all! If you’re ever in the area, stop here! Don’t forget about the Ferris wheel!

My sisters and I had a great shopping experience, friendly staff and very clean store. We were specifically shopping in the shoe department and Hannah B. did an amazing job! From when we walked in, she greeted us, accommodated to what we were looking for AND MORE! She went above and beyond to consult with me on multiple shoes. Very patient as we wanted to try multiple brands and styles. I went in initially only wanting to buy one pair of shoes but left with two pairs (one being Hokas and the other being On Cloud)!!

The best store around hands down. Has just about anything outdoorsy you could think of. The staff always goes above and beyond in the most genuine way. A place for freedom-loving Americans to gain new hobbies. Bring your kids for the Ferris Wheel!

Scheels, located at 135th, East of Von Maur Store at Metcalf in Overland Park, KS is A MALL by itself with a Phenomenal selection of clothes, shoes, sporting goods for the entire family and more. I LOVE THEIR 2 PILLARS AND CROSSOVER PILLAR BETWEEN THEM AND SEE THE BEAUTIFUL LIVE FISH ! Well worth seeing EVERYTHING and shopping. 2 LEVELS with escalators. They even have a candy store and a small area for refreshments. WEAR COMFORTABLE SHOES ! Ample Parking. 7-2-2023. Mgb.

I love this store! I'm glad they decided to put one in the KC area! It's got a vide variety of items, & tons of different things to see! From a ferris wheel to animatronics, gigantic statues, & even a place to eat! You can't go wrong with this store! I love the sports clothing section, & the wide variety of bbq rubs! The staff is always friendly, & the selections of items are massive!

I had requested to be put on the notification list for a certain item I was wanting to purchase which happened to be backordered by about 6 months.Received an e-mail notification that the item was in. I purchased it online and went to 2 days later to pick it up.The customer service, attention to detail and just overall personal & professional service was outstanding.I had never bought anything at Scheels before although I have been there and looked around a couple of times.This was a very good experience for this first-time customer, and I look forward to shopping there again.

Scheels is bigger than Bass Pro or Cabelas, or at least it appears to be. Fun activities inside. Ferris wheel, kids bowling, kids shooting range, full of all outdoor sports. Fishing, hunting, baseball, grilling, golf, ice skating, clothing, and furniture, they have it all. They even have minnows and worms! (Kinda hidden behind the fishing area/ice skates). A Cafe and candy store also. I could stay all day inside, just looking at stuff.

If it were possible to give less than 1 star I would. I went here to buy a pair of hiking boots / shoes for backpacking. They had a lot of selection, but you have to find someone to go get you the size you need. That's where the problem comes in. The customer service in this store is terrible. You can't find anyone who's willing to get off their butt and help you. When you do find someone they act like they're doing you a favor, will look for a couple of shoes and tell you they don't have them. No suggestions of other styles they have in your size. No offer of additional help. Just annoyed you even asked them to help you. This store is kind of garbage, on the surface it looks good, but once inside it's just disappointment after disappointment. Do yourself a favor, go to academy sports, rei, bass pro shop, or any other retailer offering the exact same stuff but without the annoyance.

Normally don’t complain as it is my favorite store. I have made 4 trips in to buy a pistol during the weekday. Absolutely looked over every single time. I don’t know if it is because I look younger at 27 years old or what. Went down to the men’s shoes and just got looked at when I was trying to ask for a size. This place used to be spectacular with customer service, almost to the point you couldn’t walk around without being asked if you needed help. Now employees go out of their way to avoid you. Great store, everything you need but service has just been lackluster to say the least.

Clothing selection is awesome and they have tall sizes, and the selection of hunting equipment and guns is first class. In addition, their customer service is fantastic. Always good help on the floor and they usually have short wait times to pay. What's funny though is I would never steal anything but I don't always dress the best and I like to wander around and look at everything. This does not sit well with their security. I've had them follow me around on two different occasions. So obviously I like to have some fun with this, who says 50 years old's can't take advantage of a golden opportunity to drag staff around the store and keep them guessing. Note to security: I'll stop by for visit later this week, I'll wear a dark hoodie and we'll have some fun again! Note to the thieves: don't go here!

Always helpful and love the store. The only reason have 2 stars is because they need to hire new workers in the gun section as they refuse to talk to a female. My son and I were looking at shotguns for 20 mins while 3 employees stood around talking. My gun business has gone elsewhere and that's fine because they recognized who I was to them when they saw me and that's always appreciated when they know that history.

I have been here a lot of times and have always been impressed with their customer service. They are always willing and ready to help you find whatever you need! Plus they have a HUGE selection. Overall, it is a great place to go sports shopping!

My husband, daughter, and I went in for the first time today. We had a great experience in all regards! I’m so impressed with every employee working there. We went upstairs and immediately this young man asked if we wanted to play a free game of bowling which my daughter loved. Then we went down to the fairs wheel to check it out. My daughter is only three and we weren’t sure how she would respond to going on it so Ronnie, the man working it lets us do a free lap. He was so incredibly nice!! She ended up loving it and riding it for the full ride. We also ate there and the man working was so kind! We will for sure be supporting Scheels more often!

This was my first time visiting a Scheels. This is such a fun sporting goods store! So many products available for purchase and such a wide variety. There are also so many cool things to see and do in the store. The aquariums as you walk in are fun. The Ferris wheel looks neat but we did not ride at this time. Lots of fun little spots for photo ops. A restaurant and cafe. We got coffee at the cafe and we all enjoyed our drinks. This is definitely a fun place to spend some time and worth checking out!

The Bomb dot com this store is amazing for the front door to the loading dock. And I had never heard of it until the first time that I went. Put the address in your phone and head that way.... you will not be disappointed I promise.

It's the most amazing sports store I've ever experienced. Anything you could possibly want or think you may want can be found here. From hard to find lego sets, to knives, guns, kayaks, camping, basketball, football, baseball, or volleyball gear that you need to participate, play hard, coach, or spectate. If you need clothing for any sport, they have it, want to support your favorite team, they have the gear you need. I was visiting Kansas City recently, and experiencing this store was one of my favorite things I did while there. Highly recommend this store!

They say they price match but will do everything in their power to not price match what you’re showing them, even if it’s on a legit website. I wanted to buy some shoes at Scheels because I support them and wanted to avoid paying online shipping from another state. Said my price match was “too good to be true” This is the second time they’ve denied my price match from a legit website for ridiculous reasons. I guess my business is too good to be true for Scheels 🤣Not to mention, if you’re even remotely non-white looking they will follow you around the store as if you’re getting ready to steal $2000 worth of merchandise. Me and my fiancé always feel unwelcome here, despite always being respectful, paying customers. I’ll shop elsewhere from now on

The store itself is really great.... One person out of probably 10 that we saw even acknowledged us. If you're at work save your phone time for break, not on the floor while working. The cashier was awesome.

Scheels is a fantastic store to visit. With that being said this location is not as good as locations in other states. I feel like this location is slipping from what I originally liked it for, their wide variety of team sports options. I know I can buy what I want online, but what I really want is to see my options in front of my face. This location used to provide me with that. I've only visited this location once in the past 6 months after all of the team sports options were replaced with a women's section. I saw that as a sign I didn't need to drive the 70-plus miles here. I enjoy the Springfield, Illinois, Des Moines and Eden Prairie, Minnesota locations over this location.
