Visited this location today in hopes to purchase a hermit crab for my classroom. Their employee, Jesus, helped us from the moment we walked into the store. He was extremely kind and SO knowledgeable! I had so many questions (as I’m not super familiar with hermit crabs), but he was patient and helped me pick out everything I needed and provided me with lots of recommendations. He even went as far as printing out a care sheet/information packet for me to take home. We left with 2 hermit crabs and everything we need for them to live a happy life in our classroom. Thank you, Jesus! Petco is lucky to have such a knowledgeable employee.

We met a foster dog and her caregiver here for a meet-and-greet. We fell in love with this sweet girl and brought her home to be a part of our family. Petco allowed us to have a safe place where our dogs could meet.

I went in closer to closing, and I needed a cart to take my bag of dog food out. The associate proceeds to ask me do I needed a cart I’m a Woman not a man I was not about to carry that bag of dog food out. They need to be more respectful. I didn’t even ask her to take it out and they never offered to carry my bag of food out for me, but has the nerve to ask me, do I need a cart.

Needed some greenies pill pockets. They are $8.99 at my HyVee. But wanted to get some different flavors. Tag said $9 everyday low price. Took it to the register. Was told the total was $18.00. I said the sign said $9. The man at the register said that is only for club members. I said keep them and went back to HyVee.

Somewhat disorganized. Definitely understaffed. I only saw two employees (one of which was at the cash register) there, so it was hard to get customer service for a question I needed answered. The employees there were friendly though!!

Terrible. Asked for a trim for my Sheltie and he came back butched! Will never take my dog here again. MILES was very nice but has obviously not "trimmed" a Sheltie before. First photo is before and last three are after. Uneven too! 😔

Was sold a very sick baby beardie here they didn’t say anything a few hours after we got him he pooped blood and was refusing to eat we tried everything and every type of bug we couldn’t get him to eat called petco and was told they had parasites a few weeks ago so that’s probably what happened. I wish they said something before going through this heartbreak I hope they start disinfecting enclosures properly and bearded dragons aren’t even supposed to be houses together they are solitary animals and it would help prevent these tiny babies getting sick from preventable illness *update * 3 months later we purchased a Leo here and now she is pooping blood

The young lady behind the counter was very patient. I asked questions about the benefits of shipping there versus the comps. (She probably thought she was being secret shopped 😂) She happily gave me all the information, ran through the flyer benefit programs and signed me up! Went above and beyond to show me how to search for the best price. So sweet! I hate being "that lady" but I am a Mama on a budget, so I really appreciate details. Great job! Our new family pet store!✌️

This is a huge store with lots of variety. Unfortunately it is not adequately staffed. There is often no one tending the front registers and you have to go searching for someone so you can pay. This is bad on several levels, of course.

Ally is the greatest dog groomer ever. I look forward to getting my dog groomed by her bc I give her creative control. She never disappoints, my dog looks different every time and it's so much fun! If I give her direction she listens but it's so much cooler to let her do her thing, try it! She also genuinely likes dogs. You may have to wait to get an appt with her but it's worth it! The store is also always clean and well organized with an attentive staffUpdate: Ally is gone

I called the grooming department to ask if I could weigh my puppy and they said it was fine. I went in and the lady did not acknowledge me and then took my dog to the scale. He is a puppy so he was confused on what was happening and she did not handle him properly for someone who deals with dogs everyday. I DO NOT RECOMMEND COMING HERE. Who knows how they handle the dogs when their owners aren't there.

Hello! I came in on Saturday evening on 09/09/23 and I was attempting to complete a return/exchange. I mistakenly gave the wrong receipt to the cashier and they remained patient and were very friendly while they completed my transaction. Will definitely be back!

Ashley was very rough with our dog today. Took her in for a grooming appointment that happened essentially 2 hours late. Then when my wife went to pick up our dog, she could see Ashley pinning our dog against a wall and yelling at her trying to put her leash on. Very poor experience, do not recommend.

THis place has been pretty much a dump for years. It's never really in good shape, the lights are a little dim. There are items piled on moveable (probably dangerous) rolling carts. Out of 5 times, I can find the exact variety of food I want maybe TWICE. Makes CHEWY look more attractive all the time.

Petco near 75th & Metcalf had True Chew treats in steak flavor; that I haven't been able to find. Plus they were on sale at $7/off thru Petco rewards! My chihuahua is delighted and so am I!🐕🐶

I drove all the way here for my dog was supposed to go a week ago, the person was out sick then rescheduled 3 times without any reasoning. When I came back in they said they could not do my dog. I will NEVER come back again. 30 minutes driving here for nothing and as well with the expensive pay.
