My client had recommended Land of Paws for dog toys and clothes and treats and more. Thought I go check it out. As soon as I walked it I felt like a kid in a candy shop. Dog mom heaven ! So many cute clothes, bandanas, lots of dog toys and treats and dog beds and so much more oh also there sewers some cute puppies for sale as well. They were so cute almost went home with one. Staff were super friendly and helpful. I have a pitbull terrier her name is Mochi sometimes it’s hard for me to find Cute clothes in her size (xl or xxl ) . Usually all the cute clothes all for smaller dogs. Today we came and I Mochi got 2 cute sweater type shirts. She always got a bone treat as well. We went on a walk after I put on her furry pink sweater and she was feeling sassy. Definitely will be back for more outfits 😉

*update 12/24... I saw a negative review on here saying things like the puppies are from puppy mills & are being sold as purebred puppies which is untrue & unfair. All you have to do is talk to the employees to find out more info. 99.9% of people know doodle or pomapoo is a mix bred puppy. L. O. P. isn't trying to deceive anyone. They offer very cute, healthy, mostly non shedding types of puppies for the locals. It isn't like you can go to a shelter now days & find basically anything except pitbulls so it's good there's a store offering little dogs that have sweet temperaments & again, don't shed.It's a higher end, upscale pet supply store more than anything. The variety of bedding, treats & clothes they offer is wonderful & fun to take a look at!Although a bit pricey, a wonderful pet & supply store with unique finds for dogs & kittehs. Adorable collars & treats. Also insanely adorable puppies! Fun to stop in & snuggle.

I thought I had found a nice local pet store until I went to the back and saw puppies for sale… NEVER buy puppies from a store, they are puppy mills, if you don’t know what that is, look It up. The other RED flag is they sell mixed breeds for a lot of money, there’s nothing reputable about selling purposely mix bred dogs, but then again, first RED flag is selling puppies in a store. These dogs were also separated from their mother too soon, again, RED flag. Please don’t buy puppies from a store, this contributes to the shelter population and poor breeding of dogs. Do your research and find a reputable dog breeder if you’re looking to add a puppy to your life. If you want a mixed puppy, go to a shelter, they have plenty, if they are selling you a mixed dog as a “POMEPOO” know you’re not getting a purebred dog, that’s a Pomeranian poodle mix. Please again, do your research and make sure you know what are you contributing to when buying a dog.

About four years ago while my daughter was in physical therapy at Children's Mercy nearby I came in to browse. I fell in love with the cutest little Maltipoo puppy. I always wanted one but not the same color as him. However, his "spunky" little personality won me over.I picked my daughter up from physical therapy and brought her over to take a look and she fell in love too ❤! Unbeknownst to me she took a picture of him and texted my husband saying "Mom wants THIS!!" 🤣By the time we got home dad and brother wanted to meet the little guy as well. The staff was very pleasant, patient and understanding when we visited. This was a huge decision for our family and everyone had to be onboard.I thought and thought about it and the last time I came in to see him one of the staff members was on the phone and came over saying someone was interested and was I ready to move on purchasing the puppy. Well, that did it. I jumped in and haven't regretted it.My husband laughs and said it was a "sales tactic" and they GOT ME!!! I don't care I needed the push - I guess. Upon purchase they asked us to come back in a couple of hours so they could feed and bathe him. We of course went puppy supply shopping and when we came back he had the cutest blue bow around his neck and was clean as a whistle. The lady was very encouraging and told our little guy that he was going home to a wonderful family to enjoy a great life. Aaw!They offered a free first vet visit as well and a guarantee. In the first few days we had some challenges and they were always there to answer questions, provide direction and give encouragement.Four years later our "Ringo Starr" is doing excellent and we look back on our experience with very fond memories. We love our little spunky, smart guy with the sweetest disposition and eyebrows to boot.

Hey there, I’ve got a blue-nose pitbull terrier. Her name is Stella. Besides the lack of signage on the front of the store lower than 15’ and the reasonable prices (me) she’d like to say a few things about Land of Paws.I got a turtle and a squirrel (with a squeaker!) were super durable! I like to eat their faces when I’m stressed, but they won’t come apart, two weeks or whatever later! My dad said it was nice there was an easy-to-find section. I didn’t know if it was okay to wear my ESA vest and come in? He or we will be back. Thank you!

Beautiful place. My 1st visit! They have better merchandise than any other pet store I've been to. Great service as well😁... Great homemade treats for I believe both cats and dogs?? However, my babygirl (a spunky 15yr. old Bishon Poodle) loved everyone I picked out for her and she's a piiiiiicky one LOL🐩🐾! I just loved the merchandise Soo much! Things I'd never imagine they have. The quality of there animal merchandise is like infant quality! AMAZING!¡! O, hey I'm tellin' ya to at least visit this amazing store, seriously and check it out... U WILL love it.... It's that amazing just to see all the 🆒 things for all domestic pets🐕🐈🐱🐾🐇🐦! Have fun... honestly it will be hard NOT to spend time & money!!

Puppies should never be in cages for sale. Puppies deserve loving homes at all times. This is so unacceptable. Those puppies should be playing and socializing with other litter mates and dogs learning dog things. So sad for these animals. There is no need to sell dogs in glass cages at pet stores. I had to leave the store. It was so upsetting. One of the pups was especially distressed.

Mary took care of us! She was not only incredibly knowledgeable, but intimately familiar with the ingredients of a dog food we purchase, including information on how get the most use out of it for our puppy. What a great experience! Love, love, love this shop!! They have incredible customer service; when I walk in I’m greeted by name - showing how much of an effort they make to get to know their customers and fur babies personally. I can get everything I need in one place now! The store is so clean and smells fresh - you would never know they sell puppies there unlike other places I’ve been. Being a locally owned family business is just a bonus. On trend and constantly getting in fresh new merchandise. Thank you for making my shopping experience for my dog so enjoyable!

I had the most delightful experience placing a telephone order at my favorite pet store today, Land of Paws. I had never placed a phone order and the store associate went above and beyond, she went out of her way to help me place a little birthday order over the phone so that I could pick up the order before the store closed. She kindly and patiently explained what the treats were made of and what she thought would be best for my size of puppies. She was sweet, helpful and went above and beyond with wrapping the little treats so cute. She literally made my day with how kind she was. One of the associates was even waiting at the door for me to pull up and bring my order out when I arrived. This store never disappoints and with this kind of customer service, I will never shop anywhere else for my pet supplies.

The best staff, the best dogs, the best service. We are two for two on perfect angel dogs from Land of Paws! I haven't received such good customer service in so long. You can tell the staff care for the animals so much and are willing to help you however you need when you visit. Would never go anywhere else for a puppy or for pet related items ever! So thankful.

I don’t care for this location at all. Initially I thought it was just me but I took my daughters with me recently on Sunday August 15, 2021 and they mentioned the same way I was feeling soon after we left. The female staff never asked if there was something they could do to help us. There were three of them talking amongst themselves at the front counter and were very snotty. Never once did they leave their conversation to walk the floor to ask us anything. We then asked to see a dog and they told us there could only be one dog out at a time. This didn’t make much sense since there was more staff working the front desk than people even in the entire store. We had money to spend to purchase a dog and other items but the lazy staff never extended any help to see what it was we were looking for. I have purchased our family dog from the location and Prairie Village and I had a great experience. I won’t be back to the Overland Park location again. Beware if you want to deal with lazy snotty staff don’t go to this location. If the owners see this be more selective of the staff you hire because their consistent lack of care and attention to customers will result in reviews like these. If people are coming to your store give them better customer service don’t just assume people will spend their hard earned money in a place where they are not felt to be welcomed. DO BETTER!

Very friendly customer service! They stock my husky's dog food, unlike other big name pet stores in the area (I buy Taste of the Wild). I also love seeing the little puppies they have in the store. I believe they only have small breeds. My parent's and I adopted a dachshund there 14 years ago, and he's still going strong! Lots of other things to purchase as well, along with a fantastic selection of dog treats (looks like a little dog treat bakery). My only complaint is that the prices are a bit high, but it supports a good shop with great staff.

We got our dog, Blair, here about a year ago. She has been a wonderful addition to our family. Everyone here was super friendly and helpful and was happy to answer any questions we had (she was our first puppy so the first few weeks we called a lot). Now we come to get toys, clothes, food and accessories for Blair. Whenever so walks in the door she is greeted by name and the staff gives her a ton of attention. I can’t say enough good things about land of paws whether you are looking for a new family member (pet) or need treats for your furry family members land of paws is the place to go!

Little puppies are for sale starting around 1300 Dollars plus. Behind a glasscage and unnatural bright light shining on them and paper pieces on the ground to feel at least a little bit comfortable. There is no toy in for them to play with. This is so sad to see. Look at the dogs eyes and you see how they feel. That is so wrong!! I had to leave this place as fast as I could.Are you sure, you want to support that as a customer?I wish they would start here in Kansas too, what a lot of other states do right now. In pet stores there can only be offered dogs from a shelter that need urgently a home. No dogs from breeders any more. What a great idea! Cause so many shelter dogs need a home before they get killed...

This is the southern Johnson County location. The manager, Shirley, was very knowledgeable and helpful as I tried to find a dog toy our recently rescued adult dog who doesn't know how to play might like. Friendly staff, great selection of dog and cat food, treats, and other items. Many of the items you can't find anywhere else. Pay them a visit -you won't be disappointed.

I cannot in good conscience recommend this shop. The initial impression was very positive. My subsequent interactions have been disappointing and disrespectful. Perhaps there is a management problem but based on my personal experience I will no longer be shopping or recommending them. They have failed to follow up on some significant issues, even after several weeks of communication. It’s been a surprise given the superficially positive environment.

I've bought 3 puppies from Land of Paws over the past 10 years. All 3 have been healthy and happy. I've also adopted 3 rescue dogs over the years. The last one came to us with serious health problems that were hidden by the adoption agency, KS City KS shelter. Dogs adopted or purchased take time, patience, love and money to keep them happy and healthy. Just like family.

This is one of our dogs favorite store to venture into :) The Store is Always Very CLEAN with large variety of Products from many vendors .. We normally rescue all of our animals however after one of our recent adoptions passed away last year we decided to look into adopting another.My wife happen to walk over to the puppy section within the store and fast forward a few weeks we adopted HOWARD a Brown and White Lhasa Apso. He has been a fantastic addition to our family :)Thank You, to all of the Ladies that helped take such good care of him in between us picking him up ...We try to go to the store every few weeks to keep everyone in the loop with new photos and more. Howard Loves the Attention :)

The staff at Land of Paws South is wonderful! Every time I walk in the store, they always ask how "Howard" is doing. Howard is our newest member of our family. We got him at this location as well.We have never "bought" a dog before. We have always rescued our fur babies. One day I wandered into Land of Paws South and fell in love with Howard.Every employee in this location loves every dog in this store. They are wonderful. If you are considering "buying" a puppy, this should be your first and only stop!

Large selection of interesting things for your dogs (small section for cats too). If you want a small breed mix puppy, they have a fair amount to choose from. Puppies seem to have a high level of care before someone buys them.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Was not greeted or asked for assistance by any of the 4 (incompetent) employees for 10 min. Then was proceeded to be approached by a worker who RUDELY asked if I could refrain from letting my 1 year old touch the puppy window. Absolutely do not recommend going here if you are in search of a new family pet, because it is absolutely NOT family friendly.

They get their dogs from puppy mills, they will deny it all day. One of the breeders they previously got puppies from had 745 dogs, 13 different breeds! The USDA gave them several write ups for the condition of the dogs, living conditions and so on. If you purchase a puppy here you contributing to the horrible lives these innocent dogs have to live. Please adopt! There are so many rescues in the area and they have any breed and age you could want, there is no reason to buy a puppy mill dog!

Just had a terrible experience at this location and I've shopped here for both my pups for years. I don't recommend this place, at least on the weekend if the manager is not there. Perhaps, just try Treats Unleashed or another store.

Love this store. Good quality products, frequent buy rewards program on dog food, and friendly service. They helped me get the giant bags of dog food in my car throughout my whole pregnancy.
