I think pharmacies now days have NO incentive to do a good job. I work a company where I can do mail order or Walgreens. First off the pharmacy is slow as molasses, and then they just plum lie. First they call and tell me my prescriptions are done. I get there 6 and 30 minutes after the prescriptions were faxed and after they called and said they were ready and one was not filled. Then they say it is not available, then it is changed to it is not available yet. When did businesses straight out lie? Not the first time I have used this pharmacy, but it will be the last!

I am not rating the pharmacy but the actual store, I know the pharmacy is having a lot of problems but it is a nationwide problem, The people that work in the Ottawa store are friendly and very helpful. Walgreens is a backbone of the United States and has been since the 1940's.

Went to this location to pick up meds I was sitting in the drive through line for 30 minutes. Got up to the window and they put up a sign saying they were closing EARLY. That time just so happened to be right when I got to the window, I waited for 5 minutes thinking they’d help me since I was here WAY before the time they DECIDED to close. I wasn’t helped so I rushed inside to try and get my meds and they completely shut everything down. I waited for no reason and when I asked for help from an employee they told me I should have been there earlier. I was there 30 minutes prior!!! I would have gone in if they had a sign that was visible to those waiting in line. Absolutely ridiculous

What happened to this Walgreens??? For years, they've been reliable, but for the past several months, they are NOT. Refills take multiple days to get, if I get them at all. I've been waiting weeks for part of my inhaler! Text notifications are contradictory, and forget calling the store for clarification: This morning, I held for over 30 minutes and never did get to talk to a human! After that ridiculous and pointless wait, I hung up and called the locally-owned pharmacy to transfer all of my medications. I'm looking forward to more reliable and more personable service.

This Walgreens is walking distance from my apartment building, so very convenient for me to get to. I am there frequently for basic items as well as my most important prescriptions. I know most of the staff on a first name basis as well they know me very well. Very professional and extremely helpful staff which does mean a lot to me. That does make a difference in my frequent stops as I know I will be efficiently and well taken care of. I do spend more money there as well. Thank you, Rob Robbins.

The prescription refill option using the phone hasn't been working correctly for the last few months. Sometimes I get cut off by the system and then I try to call the store. That's frustrating because no one in the pharmacy will answer the phone. I call again and ask to have a pharmacist paged, which usually allows me to talk to a human being. Walgreens needs to do an overhaul on their phone order system.

Have been using this pharmacy for years, always liked it and had good experiences up until the past several months where prescriptions I need daily are not available for 3-7 days after I have ran out of medication. My Dr sends over the prescriptions and you will now wait 1-3 days just for them to be ready- or the amount of times I have had to explain to this pharmacy half the medications they give me are not meds we even take. Do they understand how it is on a person to not have a medication that’s mandatory to take daily and then you just don’t have it to take. I wish I could say I was going to stay but I have decided to take my business elsewhere as well.

I’ve waited on a refill for 11 days. The online portal says “in progress” everyday. I tried to transfer to another pharmacy with no luck. I finally had to call my Dr and have the entire prescription sent somewhere else. 11 days and still not filled is absolutely unacceptable.

They were very lazy. They said they were backed up. (I was only person there!) My doctor told me that “they have my number so if their is a issue they can personally call me.” of course there was an issues my doctor even predicted it…and they refused to even check if they had the number. Kept saying they didn’t…. But they wouldn’t check… this is very important medication i need asap. My mother finally had to come and go inside to help me. And spent most my morning here. They then told my mother due the climate they couldn’t give it to us… makes no sense. The lady told me “ I don’t have man power to help you” Um like what, this is your job?! And WHY would the weather effect you giving me my prescription. we are already there?.. then they claimed they don’t have any in stock and to call another pharmacy because she wouldn’t and didn’t have time still only people there. She also said we would have to come back tomorrow, we told her we couldn’t we don’t live in this town, it’s VERy important we get it now. We drove through a blizzard for it, Long story short they did indeed HAVE IT in stock. This could have took 10mins but instead took all morning, calling other pharmacies, calling my doctor, getting my mom. I don’t understand why they would go through all that trouble instead of actually looking. Like I work in customer service so I understand rude customer but we were not rude until they were. Thank goodness ONE employee there finally stepped in and he finally gave my mother the medication.

Would give no stars if i could. Horrible customer care. No new Covid vaccine when all other Walgreens have had for two weeks! On hold to Pharmacy for 2 hrs, no answer!! Avoid this one!

I called the pharmacy regarding two prescriptions and was on hold for 32:24sec and when I questioned the pharmacy tech about the extended wait she said I was only on hold for 11 mins that she had a counter on their phone telling how long I had been waiting. When I told her I had indeed been waiting over 32 mins she said I must have been taking to some one else (in essences calling me a liar) and then went on to say do you want to argue about this or tell me what you want? This is about the poorest excuse for customer service I have experienced in many many years and no I won't be doing business with this Walgreens again if I have to drive 30 miles out of my way to do it. The young lady needs training incustomer service or FIRED!!!

I booked an appointment through the Walgreens app for my flu shot. Everything was fine, I did all the paperwork online and it was convenient with the pandemic going on. The day of my appointment I arrived 10 minutes early to check in at the pharmacy. All I should of had to do was give proof of insurance (I don’t have a copay) and get my shot. The pharmacy staff took three other costumers before me for their flu shots. All of which didn’t have appointments. After waiting for 30 minutes I was finally able to talk to someone. She was very disrespectful said the didn’t take appointments and I’d need to get in the other line to wait for my flu shot. After waiting again in another line. They were rude and made me fill out all the paperwork I had done online. I had to wait for three other people to get their flu shot before me even though it was 50 minutes past my appointment. I will not be going there for my flu shot again.

Scheduled vaccines at the location. Drove from Olathe 30 mins and arrived at the location to be told I could not get my vaccine die to staffing issues. They should have notified me before I drove 30 minutes.

Please stop taking pharmacists away from filling prescriptions, since you do not have enough employees Stop all shots, and testing, the covid testing white vehicle is across the street behind Dairy Queen and rarely are there any vehicles in line. The job of giving shots and testing should not be done at pharmacies due to the shortage of help. Please consider this as your customers needing their medication filled should take top priority, phones are not answered, even when your lucky enough to have someone pick up the phone they hang up so you have to keep calling back. This simple solution, STOP giving shots and have all employees answering phones and filling scrips. This pharmacy used to be right on schedule with the medication pickup and all of the usual employees are now gone, there a few really nice employees in this pharmacy but others are not trained well enough nor have customer service skills.

Worst pharmacy in town. You sit on hold for an hour to just be hung up on. You go to the store and the entire staff complains about the customers in line and in the drive thru. 95% of the customers need their medicine immediately. I have been getting the same medication for a year now and now all of a sudden they all have insurance issues. Nothing has changed but their staff. Next doctors visit I will be changing pharmacies and I will be making a complaint with BBB. Corporate also needs to be aware of how horrible the customer service is. Wish there was CVS closer. I already drive 20+ minutes as it is the closest pharmacy to my house.

Customer service is poor 9/10 times. My last straw was tonight when I went to pick up my foster child and husband’s medication. My aunt has stage 4 cancer and happened to ride with me and started not feeling well on the way. We live 30 minutes out. We got there and they told me the medication wasn’t ready even though the app said it was. My aunt spoke up and asked if they could hurry because she has cancer and wanted to get back home. The pharmacist and other lady working looked at each other and smiled as if my aunt were lying. It was soooo disrespectful. My aunt doesn’t get out ever and she wanted to go on one ride. As of Monday we will be switching pharmacies.

Worst experience ever at a pharmacy. Been on hold for more than an hour today and still cannot get anyone to pick up the line. Last visit, there were several people working but only one that knew how to help anyone. It was a disaster. No one else knew how to ring up a prescription using the good rx coupons. I had to wait for the knowledgeable employee became available (30 minutes) Unacceptably poor service. Moving all of prescriptions as quick as possible.

Tried to fill a certain amount from my monthly prescription as I do every few days because my insurance does not cover medication and my medication is expensive. I was made aware that I would not be able to receive my medication as of today, October 24th. When I asked why, I was given little to no explanation other than being told that it was my doctors fault. So I messaged my doctor today, which is a Sunday and they aren't even open but they still had someone reach out to inform me that it was for sure not because of them. So I called the pharmacy back and I get nothing but rude attitudes and raising voices from everyone in the pharmacy and my issue still isn't resolved. So I guess it's time to take my business elsewhere. And its funny to give this review because when I went to, the majority of reviews that I'm seeing are 1 star. Dont get me wrong, there are excellent employees in the pharmacy but they are few and far between. UPDATE. It's 2 days until Christmas and they are closed until Sunday or Monday. I was not notified of this, despite the fact that I am there once every 3 days because I dont have insurance and also have very expensive medication. I am the most regular person that they have. Now, because I wasn't notified of them being closed, I have to hope that my doctors office is open tomorrow so they can call my prescription in somewhere else. Walgreens is terrible for prescriptions. I highly recommend you shop elsewhere.

To bad they can't find help. If this Walgreens had a full time pharmacist and people working the floor it would be one of the best Walgreens in Kansas. I have been in numerous Walgreen stores and this one is by far the top when it comes to cleanliness and employees. They just need more employees

How come every time I come to get my prescription refill, they are “temporarily closed” or having a giant line to the drive up window outside? I’ve ran out of prescriptions and have had to wait DAYS while completely out of what I needed to function. I’m sure this is mostly due to Covid testing and vaccines…. consider the health of those who have prescriptions that need refilled!! These are imperative! I’m definitely switching to another pharmacy as my experiences only get worse and worse here. Do NOT recommend ever using this pharmacy ever again.

Corporate, for the love of god, update your intercom system in the drive thru. The lady that can’t contextualize names from slow and loud letters would greatly appreciate it.Side note: y’all need to do something about her attitude. There is no need for her (visible) contempt to your customers. Would tell you who, but she conveniently never wears a name tag.Side, Side note: This whole location is in shambles, figure it out or close. Y’all are wasting everyone’s time.

I give them a zero the pharmacy manager and the staff was very unhelpful and rude. I witnessed them making a young lady call her insurance to fix a problem tonight in which was something they could of fixed for her. Shame on you. I know we all are busy with everything going on in the world. I was shopping after I heard the way they handled things I put my stuff down and left. If more people would speak up maybe some bad apples. If will be letting other people know that Walgreens do not care.

The pharmacy has horribly slow service I was the only person there and it took 15 min before anyone even talked to me and another hour to get my scrip filled that was called in the day before. I recommend getting your meds elsewhere.

I am sorry I can't give a negative 10 review. We have used Walgreens for our prescriptions for years now. They used to be quick and accurate, but anymore they are very slow and not accurate on prescriptions. I filled my prescription and was charged double what I was supposed to be charged and only received half of my prescription. When I contacted the pharmacy I talked to one of the pharmacy techs who said I would have to talk to the pharmacist. After being on hold for close to 9 minutes the pharmacist finally got on the phone and said that I could come in and get the rest of the prescription, but would have to pay the same amount again for the rest of it. I let them know I was not going to pay more than double what I was supposed to pay and asked what I needed to do to move my prescriptions. The pharmacist didnt seem to care at all that I was moving my whole families prescriptions.I had used a coupon for Walgreens the first time which was supposed to be less for the whole prescription than what they charged for half of the prescription. They wanted to charge me 2.4 times the amount I was supposed to pay in the first place. I have moved my prescriptions from Walgreens to Walmart where my prescriptions will be half of what they was supposed to be in the first place at Walgreens. Please check your charges at if you utilize this place. I have now heard multiple people say they had similar experiences with Ottawa Walgreens.I will not be using their pharmacy going forward. Not sure what they are trying to do their, but they really need some management oversight which obviously they dont have now.

We made appointments for rapid covid testing a day in advance. We got confirmation emails a few hours before our appointment letting us know everything was on schedule. It was an hour and ten-minute drive to get there to find a sign in the window that there was no pharmacist to administer the test. We were turned away.

The pharmacy staff told me my insurance wouldn’t pay for my medication but couldn’t give me any further information. When I called my insurance company and they called to inquire about the problem. The pharmacy staff hung up on the insurance company multiple times. When I called them I had to speak to three different people, explaining the situation to each new person. They finally explained they thought the generic brand would be cheaper without really checking to see if the name brand was cheaper. We reached a resolution, they said they’d fill the name brand Rx. When I went to pick up the Rx, they told me they couldn’t get it until Monday (this was on Friday). No one ever called to say they couldn’t get the medication until Monday.

I have been trying to get my medicine since this morning. It is not 5:30 pm. I had to go in the store and see why it wasn't ready. 2 were not covered by my insurance so they didn't fill them. They said come back in 30 minutes. It's been 45 minutes and still no meds. Everybody in the line had the same problem.
