This was my first visit with my dog. I'm very particular about veterinary care for my pet. I was very impressed with the cleanliness and orderliness of the practice. Further, I was delighted with the kindness and thoroughness with which my little dog was treated. Dr. Lancaster was superb!

I highly recommend Cottonwood Animal Hospital! I’m here frequently, having two dogs and three senior cats, and I’ve always had a pleasant experience. Dr. Lancaster has been amazing through multiple emergency visits (some late night) and saved my cat who likely had a stroke and her prognosis was not great the first night. She’s been thriving since! I have a cat going through kidney failure so we go in for fluids multiple times a week and all the vet techs are kind and compassionate with her (and me). All of the vets and staff are kind, caring, and knowledgeable. The Erwins especially treat you as if you’ve been friends for years. They have a lot of capabilities for a smaller practice and seem to stay up-to-date on ever-changing medical practices, including prescribing my cat with a new anemia medicine, which has helped her a lot. They have always given treatment and testing options, never forcing us to pay for the most expensive option. We’ve been going here for 8 years and will continue going back!

Our cat was sick and needed to be put to sleep. The vet was so kind and compassionate. She explained everything in detail and in such a sweet manner. She offered to give us privacy and told us to take as long as we needed to say our final goodbye. She even gave me a hug afterward. I really loved and appreciated the staff and the gentleness they offered me and my cat. I would highly recommend!

My puppers went right in there and did a great job! Was quoted 25$ over the phone but that may have been for nail clipping I had a drimmel sanding which was 40$ but I'm really happy. Puppers is happy too. Staff were sweet and easy going. Will be coming back for future trimmings

Worst vet experience ever. We’ve never had to put down an animal before, and our poor cat was in their care. They gave us a call letting us know he wouldn’t make it, and when we met at the vet on April 28th, which they are closed on Sundays… this vet doc literally showed up with lunch in his hands, opened the door and we walked back with him- no IV for fluids for our cat, and was in worst shape than when we left him there on Saturday the 27th at 9:30/10. I highly doubt they were even there on Sunday at all. They told us at 11:45 that we could keep him there to see if he would improve because they believed the medication would work. Well it didn’t and it made him worse. When it came time to putting him down which was on the April 28th at 3:15pm, the doctor grabbed him and put him on the table then was grabbing him trying to make him stand up when he clearly couldn’t even breathe or stand. Then when my son, my wife, and I went to comfort him..the vet went in a Rollie chair and started clipping his nails. He was completely inconsiderate, and showed no remorse. Then my son asked if he had tissues, (mind you we were not in a private room we were in like a surgery room) he said yeah and pointed rather than grabbing them for him. Then once my poor cat took his last breath he started bleeding out of his mouth. Tell me why this man wasn’t prepared? He had his hands covered in my cat blood, and didn’t even wash his hands. He put our cat in a bag infront of my wife. He literally was wanting just a transaction. He was such in a rush to get our money. Mind you, he apparently gave him a “donated” medication that would’ve helped him. We never were even shown what everything was wrong with him, because he said that he had a “long list”. Our cat was only 1 years old, not even 2 years yet! I was justice for our fur baby. It is COMPLETELY unacceptable that this happened.

I stopped in to pick up some pet supplies. Sadly, there was a family there having their pet euthanized. Kindly, thoughtfully, those of us in the lobby area were made aware and the clinic had a single candle lit. It was a lovely touch. Thoughtful. Unexpected. XOXO

Are alittle pricey, but definitely worth it! All the vets and staff are great! They don't rush appointments, take their time to listen to you, then give their insight. Best vets I have ever been too!

Called about a nail trim for my service dog I’m a veteran with severe ptsd and social anxiety, told the receptionist I’ve called all the businesses in the area that trim pet nails with no answers,leave messages, no callbacks for the last couple of months. Asked prices she told me it was depending on severity whether it’s 1,2, or3 level need of care. With $18 for level one , $25 for level two and $35 for level three, I said I thought it might be 2 possibly level3 I wasn’t sure because he sensitive with his paws and won’t let me trim them, but he will chew on them himself, and now he’s super uncomfortable walking. said I only had like $20 at this time, pulled the cash out of my pocket and realized I had $24 and said actually I have $24 and she said well we only do by appointments and today we’re completely booked but I can schedule you tomorrow if you’d like and I asked her what time she said the earliest sometime around 9:30am/ 10am . I said it was causing me enough anxiety that I was going to see if I could call one of the other veterinarians to have it done today if not, I’d call her back and schedule for tomorrow morning. Her answer to that was well since you only have $20 and you think it’s a level two or three care trim If you have transportation that can get you up somewhere like Lawrence at one of the businesses up there that might be able to get you in today. I said OK I’ve got a friend who gets off at 2:30. Oh see what I can do.But with $24 and I know I’ve got another$1 in change laying around to make $25 she referred me out of town. I wouldn’t even look at my dog today to give me a diagnosis due to no walk-ins appointment only. what I didn’t get to tell her was that there is a sensitive matter that I needed to ask them about with him on some abuse I think he may have received recently and needed to get some advice on what I need to do for about that, I’m not sure why she was rude and her tone voice sounded like she didn’t believe me on the urgency or maybe that he was a service dog idk but there wasn’t a lot of empathy there. But all that said I’m not mad just disappointed. I hope her day gets better and something brightens her day.

My cat and I came here for a check up and yearly shots. The staff was very nice and super gentle when handling my cat. They were very informative and knowledgeable. They did a very good job at keeping my cat on the table when she tried to run off or jump off the table many times. Overall fast, affordable price, and just some of the nicest people you can ask for.

They are the best veterinarian office in our town. I switched from the other one to Cottonwood and It's a bit more expensive than the other choice but it is also the better choice. Doctors that care and are knowledgeable about their jobs. I love it and will continue to take my dogs here.

Our dog died very unexpectedly. The vet and a staff member met us at the clinic as soon as we could get there after hours. They were very kind and compassionate. Our dogs have always received great care there.

We had two dogs,. We had great care at Cottonwood. Ànimal Hospital for Ollie and Charlie for over ten years.. They sent us notices when they needed vaccinations. They showed genuine care towards Ollie and Charlie when they were ill and understanding toward we the love we have for our furry friendsA few weeks ago Ollie's life came to an end. We were heart broken. We miss him very much . The vet and others at Cottonwood Animal hospital understood the bond we had with our dog and understood our grief.We are blessed to still have Charlie. We pray that he will enjoy the rest of his life. Thank you Cottonwood Animal hospital for the loving and professional care you've given our dogs.

We cane by a momma cat and her kittens at the local dump that were in desperate need of help.. we brought them here and they were welcomed with open arms and much loving and gentle care. It was refreshing to see people professional and loving towards these poor animals in need.

I had brought my dog in here multiple times for shots and such, but I brought him in to be boarded and they refused to take him because I had taken him elsewhere to have one of his shots and didn't have the record on me. I had to make a last minute change to board him elsewhere because of this. The receptionist was very rude. There were several snide comments about 'of course you have to blame someone else' and no attempt to work with me or even be polite.

Great experience. They were able to get my injured cat in last minute. No wait time when we got there and they brought him straight back to fix him up. They treated him with care and got us out the door in less than an hour. On top of that, the cost of treatment was more than reasonable. Definitely recommend.

I took my dog here for years, he had a lot of problems and I paid a ton of money. When he needed to be put down cuz he just wasn't making it any longer 13 years....the process was terrible. The vet who I had gone to for years was very unsympathetic. Very bad experience. Not going back with my new puppy.

All 7 of my dogs were cared for by your doctor's and staff and I just drove from Leavenworth to have one of my new additions cared for by your office. Great veterinarian, Dr. Trent takes care of my diva Persian cat and has come in after hours several times now to accommodate my crazy schedule. Boarding rates are reasonable also. I highly recommend. Yes they may be higher than some vets, but their service is impeccable. And they have a very friendly office kitty who helps you fill out paperwork :)
