I had a great experience today when I got a new hot water heater installed. The technician was great; told me what new regulations and the extra parts that were needed up front. I appreciated knowing from the start approximately how much it was going to cost for the installation.I had gotten a quote from a handyman, he was cheaper, but obviously didn't know about the new safety regulations; that is why I will always call Roto-Rooter for any problems dealing with water appliances.

Brandon was extremely nice and very professional. He lets you know what the best course of action is and sets out the whole plan with you. He takes pride in what he does and makes sure the customer is 100% satisfied before he leaves. I 100% would recommend him and the company to anyone I know. Had a problem with my girls bathroom tub and I called and they came out within an hour charged me no fee for emergency. Nick came out was super nice. He had to come back but made sure to help as much as he could and made sure we were not without of water for the whole night. The next morning he came back and brought help (Tony). They went above and beyond they talked to me like a person and explained everything to my husband and I and made sure it the job was done right. I definitely recommend these guys and will use them again if I needed anything else done. Thank you.

Jim and his trainee were professional and got the job done quickly. They were able to help the next morning after our late call in the day before. All our questions were answered and the problem was explained throughly. I appreciated the heads up that some loud equipment would be used since kids/animals may be sensitive to the sound. Our house was treated respectfully and they cleaned up after the work was done.

The response to my appointment was very timely and Kay kept me informed when my plumber was coming and even when He was going to be delayed, also informed me His name Nick, Once Nick came was very courteous about keeping our floors dry even with snow outside. Was very knowledgeable about what the problem could be once he took a very informative look around outside and inside, let us know what steps needed to be taken, let's us know how much it would cost and options to pay,kept us informed all the steps and how long it would take , was very persistent to finish the job even though it was later in the evening. I have to say I am thoroughly disappointed with this company. We were in the midst of a deep freeze and we had several frozen pipes. I called them on Sunday afternoon and they were able to give me an appointment for the next day between 12-4.I get a call at 11:30 that day saying they were running behind and I said no big deal it’s cold out and I knew they were busy. They told me wait by the phone and stay at home. I waited and never heard back. They just never showed.So Tuesday comes and I assume I’m set for a morning appointment since they didn’t get to me Monday. 10:30 am hits and I call because I had not hear. They said “you’re on the list” so I waited all day again and nobody showed.Wednesday came and they called but I unfortunately missed the call because I was catching up on work. I eventually got back to them in the afternoon and was told I was no longer on the list because I missed their call. I told them I waited for 2.5 days and answered every call and they never showed.I get it was a crazy week for them with the cold but they could have been up front about it. Had they just said they wouldn’t be able to help out due to too much of a backlog I would have been cool with it. But making me wait around for 3 days to never shower and never follow up with me after I missed their call is pretty rough. Still need the work done but going to call A.B. May to come out because they at least treat their customers better.

Unfortunately, we have had to use them twice within 10 days. Both gentlemen were professional and knowledgeable. Rates are a bit pricey, but you are paying for experience and expertise.

We needed a main sewer line cleaned out. Most small plumber were unavailable, but Rotor Rooter came that day. He was a nice guy, was able to clear the drain. He didn't have a camera with him said he'd have someone come out the next day but that didn't happen.

We needed a water valve replaced that had corroded so that our new washer could be hooked up. The place I bought the washer from would not hook up the washer to the water line until the corroded valve was replaced - understandable. Roto-Rooter scheduled me someone the same day I called. The plumber gave me a couple of options for replacement of the valve since the other valve was questionable as well.with different price quotes. Even though the plumber had to visit multiple stores to get the hoses necessary for the washing machine only to find out when I got home to tell him, that the washer came with hoses already, he willingly removed the hoses he had connected and hooked up the ones that came with the washer and was willing to return the hoses he had spent so much time finding. This reduced My overall cost since I did not have to pay for the hoses and I was not charged anything additional for his time. My only complained is that the plumbers probably should have already had materials on hand to start with including other things he ran out to a hardware store to get. The process took several hours with all of his trips to the store. He did not increase the cost since it was due to his fault I believe.

Horrible company. They sent out a “plumber” to fix a clog in my kitchen sink. He used the snake and after a few minutes he tells me that he pulled out mud, which means that I have a broken pipe under the house. He didn’t fix anything and still charged me. The next day I had a real plumber come out and he used the snake and fixed the clog. He said that it was just our dishwasher pods that were clogging up the pipe and were covered with grease that made it look like mud. He charged me less than Roto-Rooter to actually fix the issue. Never again will I use or tell anyone to use Roto-Rooter.

Realized our sump pump wasn’t working and we had water in the basement. Called at 3:30 and Aaron was here by 4:30! Turned out to be a quick fix, but he stopped to grab equipment on the way so we wouldn’t have to wait until the following day in case it needed replaced.
