The folks at Newton Animal Hospital were so helpful with my unique situation. My husband and I were traveling from Colorado to Arkansas and forgot to give our pup her tick + heart worm meds. They helped me through the process of retrieving my pup’s medical records in order to purchase a small supply of each medication so we could enjoy our camping trip in tick country (how exciting that sounds!).They were friendly and very accommodating-I highly recommend to anyone traveling through or living in the area to find this place a haven for your animals!

They take the best care of our fur babies! They're kind, caring, and genuine. When our girl got injured this summer, Dr. Tonn took great care of her until she was on the mend. I can't say enough great things about the care our pups have received here! 🐾

The vets at Newton Animal Hospital just get better every year. This past September my dog went down and couldn't get up. Dr Tonn cancelled the rest of his appointments just to do surgery on my girl and saved her life. I adopted a dog and the humane society didn't tell me she had fecal incontinence. Dr. Friesen spent so much time going through all of her issues and discussing her quality of life. When it was time to put her down Dr. Brunson was so nice, and the vet tech was amazing and so kind. They really care, and spend the time you need to get all of your questions answered.

My aussiedoodles just went last week to be neutered, microchipped, and one had eyes fixed due to a genetic defect. Dr. Tonn was our vet and is very nice and listens to you. They were not persuasive, but suggestive which appreciated. Someone called the next day to check on the well being of my fur babies.

My grand dog, Bleu, developed a really deep cough & started coughing up a clear colored bile. My son called around & with it being a Saturday options were limited with the only possibility of taking him to an emergency vet. Unfortunately, we just didn’t have the money in our budget for that. My son talked to a very nice lady at Newton Animal Hospital & an appointment was made for Bleu to be seen by Dr. Tonn, who provided exceptional care along with the vet tech. Bleu doesn’t do well with people he doesn’t know but these guys didn’t let that get in the way of giving Bleu the best care that he so deserved. Dr. Tonn listened to our budget & made the right decisions for our pup. Hopefully with a round of antibiotics & cough medicine, Bleu will be on the mend.

I called on a Saturday, and they were able to see my cat on Monday. The lady who answered my call was very kind and polite!Dr. Brunson and his team treated Lucy extremely well. I'm so glad I decided to take her here. 🙂

My wife and I have a early appointment out there at 8:00 tomorrow morning because one of our little dogs has to have surgery on his back right knee. And Last week we talked to Dr Tonn he was very good on explaining what will be on with our dog with pictures on what he will do. He was very friendly. And we will have to leave him there overnight. And then pick him back up on Tuesday. We are hoping and praying 🙏 everything will go just fine.

Flea infested, overcharging, slow service business that needs to be shut down. Employees are really sketchy and don't seem to know what they're talking about. They forced us to buy medication and they put a muzzle on our dog when he was scared to death. I'm pretty sure we got a false diagnosis for our dog too..

Huge THANK YOU! from 11 cats, 3 dogs, 1 pony, 1 small donkey and 2 happy pet parents! You came out and took care of the whole farm in about an hour! Not a single scratch or bite! Just amazing animal skill and knowledge. Couldn't have been any better. Highly recommend.

Unprepared, disorganized, lack of information, and tried to push me into cancelation fees that not only they had not told me about, but I HAD SHOWED UP for the appointment ON TIME. And the vet I had seen was not very kind and tried to place the blame on us, even though it was clearly a mistake on their new receptionist.Although the receptionists were super kind, they failed to tell me pretty significant information in pricing regarding my appointment. It was also clear that they were not used to people bringing in their animals at one time. I spoke to their employees 4 different times on the phone and had asked how much it was going to cost for 3 cats (who were not mine) and 3 dogs to get just their rabies. Amongst these conversation, we discussed pricing, and asking me that if I were to cancel to inform them 24 hrs in advance. I did not cancel, I showed up with my animals and not only was it completely disorganized, but the difference in pricing was hundreds of dollars then what I was told on the phone. Then instead of the vet apologizing for their mistake, he tried to shift the blame to me and also told me that "he is not a shelter". I decided only to get one dog at a time, and he tried to charge me the same exact price for canceling the appointment that it would've taken just to get the vaccines done because "he was losing out on money".My husband and I work opposite shifts, and had to find a baby sitter for our 6 month old to get this appointment done. It was NOT easy for us and I was clear on the phone what I needed to know so that we could just get it all done, and be over it for the year. To show up prepared in an office that was clearly unprepared just to be talked to the way the vet spoke to us, and then find out that it would be almost 1,000 was incredibly stressful and not at all what we had discussed on the phone. Needless to say, I won't be going back.I've heard Dr. Tonn is great, which is why we went there however we got Dr. Friesan and he did not handle the situation the way it should've been. I understand people make mistakes, and that was a pretty big one but if it was handled differently by the vet, it would've been a much more understanding visit. I might've even came back to this clinic, Even if we didn't get the services done. But he was so completely rude about it.

Oh wow if I could give them a zero I most absolutely would. I have never experienced a more unprofessional place to take an animal order business with.I had fostered from a rescue and Newton was the closest vet long story short I adopted my foster and another dog and was wanting to continue taking my foster I had recently adopted because they did know him and what not,well when I had my pup spayed there she had been in heat when spayed,bring her home doing great but a week later she started bleeding. So I called and wanted a recheck to make sure that she was OK and because their prices and office visits are so different than were I had worked I wanted to know if a recheck was included in the spay or if it was something I need to prepare to pay when I took her. The person whom I spoke with said it would be the amount of an office visit which is over 50$,simply i asked i am to pay that even if its do to some problem that was created do to surgery?Later on after her recheck I received a letter from Newton animal hospital stating I was no longer their client with absolutely no explanation as to situation so I called and I was told by one of the ladies there that it was passed on that it was said that I asked or made a statement of Dr.Tonn F!@#ing up my Dog!This was absolutely 💯 false and I cant even say misunderstanding or communication issue this was a boldface lie.I cant understand why not of stated this whole I was there after the supposed statement, or a phone call and ask.....but then to call the rescue and state this to them which is absolutely false. These dogs are mine and had been adopted, so why is it that they can be called but unable to call the client. Regardless it was unprofessional, it was immature and I feel illegal to call and volunteerly give information from a business about client to another organization without a release signed by me,or client.And prices are ridiculous for no lore than they do. I was a vet tech and perhaps that has a reason for having much higher expectations on professionalism and handling of a client and for the price thats charged to just walk I. The door of the building and wait to see the vet is crazy. But Hesston is amazing so all things happen for reasons of which this was a blessing.

Dr. Tonn is always thorough in his exams, easily understood in the explanation of his diagnosis, and genuinely compassionate overall. I have dealt with Dr. Tonn for a number of years, and even though the situation was usually difficult, he was so kind and sympathetic that he made the experience bearable. 10 stars for outstanding service on his part.

Done with this place! This is the 4th time in 2 years that their receptionist has written down the wrong time when I book an appointment. I write it on my calendar while on the phone booking, and yet when we go, they say they had a different time and can't see my dog. Despite the doctors being good, I will not continue to deal with incompetent people. This is unacceptable, and unproffessional. What makes it worse, is that we live out of town, and my dog has severe anxiety in cars, so having to reschedule and do it all over again on another day is very inconvenient.

They are always wonderful. Our cat was not doing well and ended up having to put him to sleep. Being on call, Dr. Brunson stayed after hours and treated us amazing through the hard time and prepared the after care.

This is a very nice facility. The building had a pleasant smell and there were no obnoxious noises. I felt that the staff was friendly and comforting. Unfortunately I made a visit here to put my cat down but I felt everyone was respectful of the event taking place. I also felt that Houdini was in good hands as the staff seemed to know what they were doing. I was very pleased with the environment there and would suggest their services to another.

DR.Ton is the only person that sees my oldest RamPage. He doesn't fear my son or try to man handle him. He treats him how I do like... a person. They Also have muzzles which is good for RamPage because he doesn't like "new people".
