This place is fun to visit. I love their German Sausage. Sadly (like many places) their prices are not as low as they used to be. In September I bought several boxes of Ben's Wild Rice at .79 each. Yesterday that same rice was priced $1.59. I understand a slight increase but more than double an increase is ridiculous. You have to go in with the attitude that you never know what you might find. I was thrilled to find so many gluten free products. Has this store ever considered relocating? Plenty of space in that out outlet mall right off of I-35. If you are passing through Newton or are on your way to Hutchinson you should check this place out.

It's a dent can out of date (but still good) grocery store. Huge selections of coffee. They also have locs cheese and meats and awesome German sausage

Meridian is a small market with some damaged products and many that aren't. The expiration date always needs to be checked. The owner of the store has been nothing but unfriendly to me , not sure why. They seem to know that you're not a member of the Mennonite community when you walk in ,and some of the older ladies that work there treat you differently as a result. The younger girls there are for the most part very friendly. I enjoy having a market with low cost options near me but the rudeness I can do without.

Be aware of purchases-several times I have purchases items that were repackaged and broken, missing parts and do not work. They will not offer credit or refund without a receipt. I purchased a repacked mop-it was missing part of the handle. I purchased a sharper image laser tag it did not work. I purchased a repacked candle. It was broken. Also watch the expiration dates. Many items have dates more than a year expired. And watch out for freezer or refrigerator foods-freezer burned and old food. The homemade casseroles are not worth the money. And probably made from the old food they don’t sell. Beware.

They deserve less. Customer service skills are that of neanderthals. They throw groceries down belt. They make snide comments.. they'll acknowledge my husband but look right through me. I used to like going in there. They won't get our business anymore.

I love this place! Most times I feel like I've hit the jackpot because I try to eat healthy and I'm able to find gluten free foods, fresh eggs, Yoder meat, (hamburger) Amish products, and best of all, gourmet coffee. 😋 Last, but not least, the service is very good. They definitely have servants hearts. ***This is from my heart and not a paid advertisement.

I wish I had heard of this place sooner! A fantastic grocery option with unbelievably good prices and a selection that fits most households. They've got a nice mix name-brand and more local items. I was surprised that they even had a small section for over-the-counter stuff if you need something small. The baking ingredient section is something I'll definitely be checking out in the future.The produce and meats can sell out pretty fast, but they're just that good and fresh!Compared to bigger or chain groceries, it's definitely smaller but that helps navigation and finding what you're looking for take less time.Be ready to bag your own stuff though, I got too used to bigger chain grocery stores and was caught off guard my first time there!

We've started coming here before going to the main stores because sometimes they have what we need cheaper then the main stores. Sometimes there's a great selection & other times not so much. My husband gets a lot of his snacks for work from here because her can get better deals.

If you don't shop here, you are missing out! They are known for the go to place for fresh spices, baking goods and variety of bargains. They are loved for their old fashion style grocery store being small and welcoming.

You can find some good buys here but have to watch because somethings are priced higher than other places & this is suppose to be discounted because they are scratch & dent store. Bought some fresh food they had brought in in bulk but was disappointed in the corn & the peaches. By the time peaches were ripe enough to use they had lots of bruises on them & the corn must not have been real fresh as it went bad sitting in the fridge 4 days.

Wonderful place. So kind and nice looking ladies working there. I was even gonna buy some cliff bars 3 for a dollar. Good deal. Love little stores like that will help out there customers with clearance on expiring items.

Some items have super great prices, some are not good prices especially since near everything is expired. It's always fun to see what they have though because like I said you can get AMAZING deals on some stuff.

The prices are awesome. I'm able to try brands I normally can not afford because of the huge discount. I also love the random finds like cool kids toys. But the staff is often times rude, as they were during my last visit.

In addition to dented cans and out of date groceries, at great reduced prices, this store has a nice selection of basics at a good price. They also offer bulk spices and cooking items and a great variety of meats and cheeses. Some great access to locally produced foods. Do not hesitate to check out the options here even if you are not interested in the discounted items. There are great options here!

My Mom and I went to Meridian Grocery for the first time today. We were impressed with the deals and the organization. My Mom is on a dairy restricted diet so she was excited when she found they had Silk dairy free Yogurt. When we got home she found out that the yogurt was ONE YEAR OVER EXPIRATION. It was absolutely disgusting and disappointing. She also went back into the store before headed home because there was a $8 charge on the receipt when she didn't buy anything that was $8. She spoke with the cashier and they agreed to give her $6 back. My Mom only received $2 back. We will still go here but will not be buying any perishable items and watching the cashier ring up the items correctly.

Know that this is both a bulk food grocery and local bakery (around the perimeter) and a "scratch and dent" or "past date" dry goods source (center aisles). If you want to shop local for the former, this place is perfect. For the latter, stock depends on what shipments become damaged or what other stores have cleared out their inventory. So when it's a good day for what you want, stock up on that jackpot before it's gone! Or there might be nothing and you'll just have to check back.

Local dairy cheeses are good. They even carry fresh hash brown shreds. Looks almost like a farmers market store minus a fresh produce section.
