We made this our daily stop when we moved here a couple years ago. There are a few things people come into a gas station for. Using the restroom, getting snacks and beverages, getting gas, or stopping dor the deli. The thing that I remember while working at a gas station is that around 70% of most in store sales come out of the cooler. For months now, this locations cooler choices are sparse in the doors but if you peer through you can see almost every type of beverage not stocked. It shouldn't be the customer's responsibility to tell a cashier that they want a drink from inside the cooler every day.

The cashier was very friendly, polite and helpful. My problem was with the employee at the food station. He ignored me for some time while he blathered with someone else. He fussed with their order and gave them extra bags. He finally looked ar me snd said, "You want something?" I responded, "Obviously I do or I wouldn't be standind here.' The proper question would be, "May I help ypu? What can I get for you?" Then he filled my order and stuck it in a bag that left part of the order sticking out. Where was my nice plastic bag? I requested one from the cashier as I did not want it spilling out on the car seat. Please, young man, learn how to wait on people.

Employees are very pleasant and I am usually always greeted as soon as I walk in. This Pete's station is cleaner than most. The only issue I have with them is the pizza dough is never done. It doesn't matter if I order breadsticks, Stromboli, calzone or pizza it is always doughy. The top of the pizza looks just fine, around the bottom edge it is cooked throughout but for the most part it is not. My deli orders are always for evening hours so I don't really know if it's the cook or their oven. I sure wish they would get this issue figured out because it has been like this for more than a year.

It will fill your belly.....but do NOT make special requests because it won't happen. No extra toppings, even if you pay for it. No leaving out toppings even if you ask three times. And if you DO attempt to modify it they're gonna leave out something important (I don't want X, okay so extra X and no Y).Will definitely order from and drive to iola from now on, despite living across the street from this one. Ridiculous.

Great selection of goods. It is/was under construction, so it was a huge mess, and you can only enter from the back entrance.

Thursday March 12, 2020 Called in a pizza order at 5:30 pm told me it would be ready about 25 minutes. At 6:05 I went in to get my pizza. Finally a person came over and asked what I need told him I was there to get my pizza order. He said ok just a minute. He came back and looked in the ovens and said oh your order has not been started yet. There was four people working there and none could do my order. I will never go back to the Pete’s. He goes we can make them now. Told him to forget them and walked out.
