Keeping the community going for ninety-nine years. The Mildred grocery store entertainment center has it all. The very nice people provide old-fashioned delicious sandwiches and other foods and plenty of grocery items. A must stop and visit it's a step in the past. On 59 highway 21 miles south of Garnett and just north of 54. Their house band entertains the community on the 3rd Saturday of every month 6:30 to 9:30. Huge dance floor and lots of seating. Family orientated and very respectable people. Highly recommended.

This is a nice clean store and deli. It's awesome to see local, family owned establishments. The deli has great prices and the Meat is fresh and delicious.They have music and dancing also.

Saw this place featured on the news...live music and a dance 3rd Saturday of every month. No charge to get in, refreshments are not priced through the roof. The band is good and the dance floor stays busy. But what really impressed us was how nice and friendly folks were. We'll be back for sure...maybe when it's a little cooler outside!

A friendly country store. It feels like you have gone back in time to a simpler era. It has places to drink coffee and eat freshly made sandwiches. There are also music nights. Go check them out.

Really nice place to visit in that the people are very friendly and helpful! The sandwiches are outstanding! Wide variety of meats and cheeses to choose from. The roast beef and smoked horseradish cheese are a good combo! We highly recommend them!

I tried to put 5 stars in but my phone didn't cooperate! The Mildred store is somewhere that everyone should experience! It's a step back in time to be cherished by all who appreciate small town values. Great food, service with a smile, and a feeling of home and family. I must add that if you love old fashioned Christmas candy, you will be blown away by the large assortment they have to offer! It's worth the drive no matter where you live!

This is a great place to gather. The store is full of antiques and history of the 1930' store. Great deli. The 3rd Saturday of the month the store comes alive! There is great music and dancing for the entire family.

Reminds me of the store from my childhood. Want to see what a little grocery store was like in times past well this is the place. Great sandwiches made while you wait w sliced meats and cheeses. Very welcoming atmosphere and friendly people. Pop, beer and basic kitchen items you need in a pinch.

Stop here on our way back to KC. Loved this store. Reminded me from when I was a kid going to the store with my Granny. Sandwichs were so AWESOME!!! Would be worth a road trip back there for the sandwich.

The last time I visited it was Charlie Brown's. Today I brought the hubby for the first time and he insisted that we would definitely be back for certain. He loved the idea the old butcher block was converted into a table that he simply had to sit at for our lunch today. Thank you so much for keeping the old time feel and more ....you added a country stage and all for live music every 3rd Saturday of the month even! We are so thrilled to have a sandwich that not only piled on the meat but had the best selections of cheeses served on regular sized bread, for those who do not want to consume a foot worth of carbs with their sandwich. Seeing as we are only 12 miles from you....hubby said we WOULD DEFINITELY BE BACK! We recommend this quaint lil sandwich shop to any passing through or near, especially for lunch time! Two thumbs way up!!! PS!!!!! THEY ALSO SELL Sasparilla SODAS individually at this store as well!!!
