I got a dog 2 years ago it has been a challenge but I wouldn't change it. Debbie was so up front that she had been in two different house but they brought her back. People have to remember they are rescue dogs and most have been abused. Debbie helped us and we were impressed we got a puppy also.

We have adopted two dogs from SRL this year, and it has been wonderful! Both puppies (we adopted 6 months apart) had been around other dogs and exposure to a doggy door at the rescue home, which made training a breeze (after the adjustment period, of course)!SRL has several requirements for potential adopters, which I think shows a great amount of love for the animals they are placing. If you don't like the requirements, maybe think harder on having a pet/furry animal member. We fostered both puppies until they were old enough to be spayed/neutered, and then we were able to adopt and make them permanent members of our family. This rescue works incredibly hard and does a wonderful job matching fur babies with families. I cannot thank them enough for making our family whole again. đ

We rescued our sweet boy July of 2021. We couldn't be happier. We will definitely go through them again.

My review may be deleted. Since owner only leaves positive reviews. Please be cautious if you decide to foster with this rescue.Recently had an acquaintance foster a dog for 6 months before the rescue contacted the foster family. They changed his name from what he was responding to from the foster family. They are stating the dog is a puppy and he is clearly a senior dog. they had forgotten about the dog!I have had other friends assist in fostering and they left because they suspected suspicious financial activity. This rescue should be reported and have an investigation done.

Would rate ZERO stars if I could.. We adopted a dog who was sick with heartworms, he should have been better by June, after taking him to our vet, he had stage 3 heartworms and won't be better til October. His brother also is going through the same thing with his owner. The owner of this rescue is VERY unprofessional. Told her assistant that I personally attacked her by calling their vet. Very mean if you start asking too many questions. Blocked me on all. Platforms after the diagnosis. BE CAREFUL!!! The only plus side is that I adopted the best boy ever đEdit to add: there's not much I left out, I have all communications between the state of Kansas and I. Talks with their vet and paperwork with my vet. Unfortunately he passed away 8 months later due to ivdd, he couldn't undergo surgery because of all the scar tissue from the worm scar tissue on his heart. He was likely to stroke out on the table.Edit to add again: There is nothing I left out, let's see... if I did, it would be that they told me he had heartworms (they were unsure of what stage) and to give him topical cream and he would be better by June)but never had him properly x rayed or anything.. they refused to help with medical bills. I did have the state of Kansas investigate them, so now they have to post if they are heartworm negative or not. You also will not be allowed to adopt from them again if you have had issues with them. They did tell me I could return him, but of course we were already in love. And what a heartless thing to say that they are glad I love my dog AFTER he passed. I have paperwork and stuff to prove everything I went through

Absolutely love this rescue so much that I rescued three dogs total. I know personally other adopters that have also had amazing adoption experiences. Rules are rules it's not just this rescue that has them. So to post a negative review because you didn't qualify, didn't like the vet requirement ,or couldn't handle the dog while it's adjusting to it's new environment is just plain ridiculous and you shouldn't own any kind of animal. These dogs are fully vetted before leaving the rescue (I know the vet)the rest is up to the adopters.

It was despicable. Owner came out gave ultimatum, that dog was not an outdoor dog of any sorts. I had church couple go with me to find the reason for the remark posted about the dog currently denied. Communication was never returned. I asked about seeing the dog. After several requests she returned caring the dog. The people with me petted the dog a couple of times. I petted the dog few times and lifted a paw to shake hands. After just few minutes she said she had to go, and turned with dog still in her arms to go into the house. We left then. If it is like that to adopt or foster an animal to provide a home, it is just daunting. The people with me were appalled, as well. She remarked you are not supposed to be able to see an animal.

I drove to this little town in KS on a whim because I want to adopt a(nother) tiny dog. This is a tiny-dog rescue run out of a home. The lady who owns it is very gracious, and spoke with me for about 20 minutes about her business: how and where she gets rescue dogs, and how she adopts them out. I went home and filled in an online adoption application. I wish the application was more comprehensive, but since we talked for a while, I feel she got a good sample of my personality while we were talking. She mentioned she's trying to downsize, so I don't know how much longer this company will be open. I hope she gives me a chance, as I love small dogs and there aren't a lot of small dogs in Kansas.

I had the most WONDERFUL ADOPTION experience with them. They went ABOVE , and BEYOND, to make my DREAMS of owning a French Bulldog come true! The COMMUNICATION with each person I interacted with SUPERIOR. The staff was both KNOWLEDGEABLE and FRIENDLY.

After hearing several first hand accounts of peoples interactions with this group, I figured Iâd come check out the reviews to see what else is being said, good or bad.Low and behold, through my own research, I discovered that this company also picks and chooses what reviews âstayâ posted. Apparently they donât want the truth of their bad business practices put out there. Sheesh. Iâd stay away from these people, they clearly lack ethics, and too many horror stories from people whoâve worked with them. Poor animals. They deserve better.

I have had a recent experience and quite honestly Debbie has no sense of being professional or understanding. We adopted a dog and paid the $225 and at the time of adoption asked about how the dog interacted with kids. The person we picked the dog up from was honest and let us know they did not have kids so they did not know. When we got home the dog was aggressive, snarling and snapping at my 3 year old daughter. The dog was nice with adults but didnât trust kids which we understand due to the dog being rescued but as a family decided it wasnât best to have the dog around our kids. I called Debbie, after giving the info and asking that we return the dog (and not asking for any $ back) she told me I didnât even give the dog 24 hours and was acting as if I was in the wrong. At this point I can admit I didnât handle myself all that well after she questioned my decision about my family and what was best for us. So to anyone who is adopting from here and thinking they will understand if it doesnât work out, this was not our experience at all. The worst part is you try to do a good thing and she made myself, my wife and our kids feel bad for doing what is in our best interest! Also she told me never to apply there again, donât worry that would never happen as you handle yourself in such a way that very few people should want to do business with you!

I called this rescue to arrange to meet a dog and was told to "Get in the car and start driving. I'm not trying to be bossy but I'm being bossy. You have to start driving now." So we did. We got in the car and started our 4 hour drive to this rescue to adopt the dog we'd been searching for. She knew we were driving from 4 hours away, I asked if she would hold the dog, she said she had an adoption event but would keep the dog for us. We were two hours into our drive - after I'd texted a couple times to let her know our progress on the drive - and we received a text the dog had been adopted. We had our dog with us so all told this ordeal took five hours, a tank of gas, and more heartache than anyone deserves. We lost a day to someone who lacked integrity to her commitment to others. While I hope the best for this organization and the pets they serve, DO NOT DRIVE or commit time and resources to this rescue that you are not prepared to lose.We are exceptionally disappointed with our interaction with this rescue.

Wouldnât trust these people. Had a friend take in a senior dog after being told it was a puppy, took care of him and loved him for six months while this place forgot about the dog. Now all off a sudden they want the dog back and itâs already listed online as a puppy? And for 325 bucks? Disgusting

This place does not even deserve 1 star. Trust the other negative reviews here. I called multiple times and left voicemails, I emailed the email address listed on the post, and I sent a message thru the site that had posted the dog. All with no reply. I finally logged into Facebook and found their page and sent a message that way. I was literally told, we will only contact if an offer is made. Sooooo, youâre just going to leave hopeful pet owners wondering?! Very unprofessional. What is the point of filling out an application if there is zero follow up. Also, the website should have been updated after the dog was adopted. I wasted days on a dog that was no longer in need of a home. With how hard it is to find the breed Iâm in search for, there should be more respect and professionalism on the rescue side. Do not waste your time trying to deal with these people as you will not receive a reply.

I adopted my very loved little man Archie (or Cauley as they called him) and he is the best dog ever. He has the best mannerisms and has been very easy to train. Every one he meets falls in love (how could they notđ) I love this dog more than anything and would gladly adopt from them again!

Be cautious when working with this rescue and the owner, Debbie Blochlinger. They do not have good business practices and have no problem slandering past owners or fosters. I personally know a family that returned a dog and were repeatedly verbally attacked over the course of multiple days for having to give up their loved dog. Individuals attempted to show support for the previous owners but were publicly belittled too. She will not hesitate to bash and misconstrue facts. Even worse, she will not hesitate deleting and blocking statements that support the other party's circumstances and facts. Debbie will go out of her way to degrade past owners and even contact them to attack a family's decisions. On many occasions, Debbie has promised to assist with foster bills and animal care only to leave them in a mound of debt. Professionalism is non-existent.

Horribly ran! No communication when fostering. Not being honest about the dog when they post it for adoption. Numerous people and professionals have nothing good to say about them. Be very cautious.

Would have been nice to know that a fenced yard is a REQUIREMENT. Thatâs clearly not listed on their application⊠Wonder how all you pet owners out there without fenced yards are getting along?
