A great self-guided tour. You are able to walk through the tunnel that connected the house and barn, a true surprise and delight. An awesome feeling to walk and stand where they did many many years ago!

Bit of a tourist trap (and a little sus - there are an *awful* lot of letters confirming it's veracity, so there must be some debate on if it's true) but awfully fun for a pit stop on a road trip. Just the quintessential wild west museum and the tunnel is awfully fun! The house itself is terribly small, but the museum above the gift shop in the barn is pretty rootin tootin. I kinda love that it's not very polished. I came by in January, there might be more going on in the summer, it looked like there was a bit of a stage back there.

My aunt Judy Sena worked here for years..I remember running through the tunnel as a little girl. I teared up couple years ago when k went back because the pop machine is still there (my uncle used to stock the pop and he’s no longer with us) the bathroom still looks the same..talk about going back in time for me. Back to the time of simple living

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I didn't know it'd be on my route until I was right near by but I figured I'd stop in and check it out. The woman I spoke to was very kind and knowledgeable. She explained the history and the story behind the hideout and the Dalton brothers. There's an unrelated museum upstairs with some neat taxidermy animals. The tunnel itself is cool and damp and has an eerie feeling to it.

Interesting diversion after a day and a half of driving. Saw the signs and decided to stop. All had fun exploring the buildings and checking out the various period artifacts. Cool local history. And a museum that has been around for 80ish years. Very interesting. Worth a stop.

Quick little stop only $5, May take you only 15 minutes or so. You go through the hideout to this little house and upstairs and back through the tunnel.

It's a nice place to visit while traveling on the road. We were there in the fall so much of the summer programming was closed. Interesting description of the Family.

Loved it. The history right under our feet. Infamous history. The staff was helpful, friendly, full of information, and receptive. The tunnel was very cool.

Awesome local historic site! What a special American wild west treat to go through the Daltons escape tunnel from the house to the barn. Great historian on site as well.

Neat and informative little spot about the Dalton family. I used to think the Dalton brothers were a figment of the Lucky Luke comic book’s imagination!

Saturday, August 24th, the Dalton Gang Hideout had their 9th year Melodrama and a Chuckwagon Cook-Out. They had over 120 people show up this year to eat and watch the Melodrama. The audience was great with the Booing for the bad guy and cheering for the good person. I really enjoyed it this year. Next year will be their 10th year. So, come on out next year for the Melodrama and Chuckwagon Cook-out!! Bring lawn chairs. The museum is Amazing too!!

Being a Dalton descendant this was special. My Grandma was Mary Jean(Eugenia)Dalton from Missouri. The stories I heard so far are amazing and my aunt promises to pass on many more stories. My Grandma never liked to talk about it.The only problem is finding a family tree to better see the true descendants. I just stumbled upon this place accidentally as my aunt did the year before. My aunt promises the stories that have been passed on to her are far better than this place will ever know but still this was an amazing experience! Thank you
