Always good. Always easy on the wallet. Always great Service., with no slipping on the serving sizes. Simple and hearty food. If you want fancy, take your coat and tie somewheres else.Bathrooms could use updating. General store in the building is adequate. Overall the Place has been around a while, and it shows. There is, however Parking for big rigs; careful after a big rain getting out of the cab.

As a Veteran truck driver (40 years) I spent most of my career coming to small family owned restaurants throughout the country.How nice it is to come across one of these gems. Local folk coming in that the wait staff knows and brings out as they’re sitting down their “Usual “ order. Fixing anything that wasn’t done properly if that’s the case.The food here is good and reasonably priced considering what truckstops charge.I normally cook in my truck but if I want a safe place to park? I need to spend some money in these places so they stay in business.Parking: There are some craters but it’s mostly where your trailer is sitting. It’s a Dirt lot.

We actually didn't go here. They have truck parking that we utilized. However, if the full parking lot is any indication of the food and service inside, I would take a stab and say that this popular place MUST be good! WILL absolutely try when timing is right on my way through next time.

FYI CHUCKWAGON It’s against the health code to vacuum during business hours with customers in the store or with food uncovered . They did both ! That rug would not even be in a frat house basement keg party it is so nasty;fyi….. the food is the same!! How did they get 4.5 stars? Well, it is store bought salad with generic dressing and canned carrots and gelatin covered meat… I know they get fed better at the State Prison …,, nasty stuff, nasty everything…,not a 4.5 restaurant by any means …..what a shame that people think that this is acceptable no matter what the location.Don’t get me wrong… I stopped there because I like to support little businesses and it was highly rated. In the forty five minutes I was there; 40 trucks passed . They could have a gold mine if the remodeled and didn’t serve the lowest level of food possible. Obviously this is business owner who gas given up a long time ago. I should have known by all trucks in the parking lot, but nobody in the restaurant that it was only good for parking… maybe breakfast is better but even if it was twice as good it would only get 2 stars

Oh my what a find this place was! A family owned place. Everyone wanted to be there and made sure everything was good 👍. My only surprise was ordering a tortilla scrambler and it came with no tortilla! Just the filling ingredients that tasted very good along with toast and hash browns. My daughter had the French toast and said it was the best she had ever had. Well worth a visit if you ever go this way. I should of backed up a bit to take the salad bar pic. It was in a Chuck wagon and was so cute!

We were excited to try this place when we got to town based on previous reviews. I don't know if we came on a bad night or if the waitress was having a bad night but our server was snappy and rushed us. She was very short and flat and ignored our questions and walked off. The food was ok but half was cold at least my daughter's was warms. It was the only place in town to eat at so we ate and left.

Fresh made home style food. Thr staff was really nice and welcoming. Generous portion amounts. Everything was fresh and delicious. Ordered the chicken sandwich and it had 2 patties. Would stop here every time im passing by. Take out menu was easy to pick through. Very old school vibe and enough seating!

We travel in our 40’ class A and always try to find a good restaurant that also has parking. Not easy, but it can be done. This place has both!The food is really good! The people (waitress, cook, and other staff) have always been terrific. This is a come as you are, sit back, and relax kind of place. You’ll welcome the “feel at ease” - “feel at home” atmosphere. And, you’ll especially enjoy the food!We’ve stopped here 5 times over the past few years and look forward to the next time!

If you're passing thru make sure you stop in here and get a bite to eat. Reasonable prices for grandma's cooking. Service was good. A good 20 truck parking spots. (The ham steak dinner was like breakfast side meat, not big at all but the omelet was delicious)

I got the pork chop dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy with corn and salad because I was tired of chicken.I must say, that was the best cooked and tasty pork chop, tender and done. Cooked just right. I used to cook in a small restaurant myself, so I think I know good food. Hat's off to the cook.Me and the waitress had a little political disagreement.She still supports Biden and has a hatred of Trump, inspite of all the facts that Biden is the worst president ever, a sell out, corrupt, looking out for no one but himself, screwing America, but she hates Trump.The media did a good job brainwashing some people so good that they still can't see truth.Tds is real.

We were traveling back to Topeka, Kansas, we stopped to get some burritos to go and some coffee, I asked if they had chorizo burritos, the young man said no, the ladies in the kitchen heard me and told the young man that they were making some food for them for their breakfast which hand chorizo, potatoes, cheese, eggs, and jalapeno peppers, that they were willing to share with us, I said that sounded good, so they made us some, so we got them and r coffee and we left. I want to tell those ladies thank you very much for going out of there way and giving us some very good burritos, they were the real thing, the best burritos, next to mine, the young man was also very, very kind and very polite, we will stop there again when we come back from Mexico, I recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants to be treated with kindness. I love these mom and pop places to eat. As a truck driver, we have very few of these we can stop and eat. Most truck stops has gone to fast food. It is nice to have a seat and drink a cup of coffee. I had breakfast, it was perfect, coffee was good ole plain coffee. The atmosphere was perfect as well. The service was 2nd to none. This is the America that I love, the America that I joined the Marine Corp to fight for. Great place!!!
