Smells badly of piss, the carpet is terrible its obvious they don't take the dogs they keep in the shop out to potty. Also found the same gun we wanted at gunbros in Hutchinson for $300 cheaper.

Best gun store in town, in the whole state of Kansas! They have a wide variety of inventory of guns, amo and accessories! Austin is AMAZING to work with and knows his stuff! He gives you his undivided attention and is soo informative and experienced! Plus he’s just a really nice person who’s genuinely invested in helping make sure you are taken care of right!! Oh! I forgot to mention their shooting range too! So fun! Highly recommend Treasure Chest Gun shop and their entire Team is great energy!!

Great gun store! Small, but has an awesome selection of AR15 accessories and parts including some AK47 accessories. Large amount of handguns with a good selection of shotguns, and rifles. They also carry a nice selection of high quality optics.They have a bargain section where you can find some good deals. Always happy to support the local businesses.Largest smallest gun store in the Midwest with a great variety of products.

Purchased a rifle from them on gun broker. The rifle arrived quickly and in good condition. But there must have been a mix up when they listed it. The rifle that was listed was supposed to have a picatinny rail but the rifle that arrived did not have one. After a few phone calls and emails they sent a rail out.

I had never been to this shop before last week. I ordered the gun I wanted on their website, they called me four days later to let me know it arrived. They were super friendly, my transaction was quick and easy. I look forward to going and checking out the whole store. I got a Benchmade pen there at a great price also.

All I’m going to say is I won’t do business with them anymore after a safe purchase I made with them. During the process of bringing the safe into the house the Treasure Chest Gun Shop Rep stated to my significant that he noticed there was paint missing on the upper right side of the safe. After I inspected the safe I did notice paint missing down to the metal on the upper right side and paint missing just inside the door where someone had turned the wheel while the door was halfway open and the bolts hit the paint and chipped it off. When we picked the safe out at the store there wasn’t any paint missing on the safe. The Treasure Chest Gun Shop Rep stated he would send someone out to fix it. After several tries to fix the damage the individual trying to fix the safe advised us that he could not fix the damage. Now the damage is actually worse than before it was worked on. Treasure Chest stated they would send a refund of a whopping 300.00. If I wanted a used looking safe I would have bought a used safe. For the money I paid for this safe and the frustration with the whole transaction I won’t go back there.

Not a reputable dealer; do not recommend online shopping at Treasure Chest Gun Shop. Ordered four Walther magazines that were supposedly in stock. After two weeks, the store did not provide any order or shipping confirmation. My first two email inquiries were not answered. They did respond to my third email inquiry and promised to ship but did not do so. I have filed a fraudulent transaction report with my credit card company.

Knowledgeable staff, friendly, helpful and run a safe range. I drive quite a clip to get there, but it's worth every mile. They have a new loyal customer who plans on weekly visits. And, they have an incredible assortment of merchandise, firearms and gorgeous gun safes!!!

Really large selection of guns and accessories. Impressed that they offer online shopping and payment and they in turn get ahold of you when they have received all the items you have ordered, just be careful and print off your receipt with the UPC and description of items due to when we went to pick up our items somehow they tried to give us a cleaning mat for the gum instead of the cleaning kit but when we went back in and showed them the mistake they were happy to make things right and fix the problem with no hassle whatsoever. Really nice people working there. Also don't freak out when you walk in there are two dogs running around in there, they bark and seem scary and tough at first but they are such sweet dogs and love to bet loved on and pet, one of the dogs follows me around the store wanting me to continue petting him lol

Discovered Treasure Chest Gun Shop at a gun show, and made a purchase. A year later when we wanted to make a few more purchases we drove over 2 hours to their shop. You wont find a better deal anywhere. Very nice people, help you out all they can. They let us use their new gun range and it was great! If you are looking to purchase a gun or ammo, this is where you want to go. And as for the dogs, 2 tiny little things that probably do not have enough teeth to hurt your ankle, and a medium sized happy dog. No barking or anything else, guess dogs really do know good people.

Best prices in Kansas on guns and ammo. Staff is very knowledgeable, but not at all pushy. Some Saturdays they hit up guns shows so call ahead if you live out of town. The dog barks, but is really friendly and would not "bite someone's head off," as the exaggerating drama queen stated. They have a large selection even though their building is small, and if they don't have what you want, they can find it for you or put you on a waiting list until they get it back in stock.

My Father and I were at a gun show in Topeka looking to buy an AR that they had a good deal on, but the people were so rude to us (husband and wife) we figured they didn't deserve our money or business! Lost sale due to terrible customer service, they should reallylearn how to treat people if they want to stay in business!!! 😠

Do not judge the shop by the small store front, it like walking into Narnia, the store keeps expanding as you walk in the front door. The range is state of the art, with very cheap/reasonable range fees. They also have a great selection of high end knifes.

In the past my family has enjoyed and used the range without issue. We had a new rifle and wanted to test fire and sight it in at the range. We purchased ammunition specifically for use at this range, ammunition that complies with their range rules. This ammo has copper/lead bullet with a steel case. These are NOT THE BI-METAL BULLETS THAT ARE BANNED AT NEARLY ALL INDOOR RANGES! Before using the range, I carefully read the range conditions of use agreement, which stated no steel jackets, no steel core. I was in compliance with the rules, so I felt pretty good about shooting the rifle. My son was shooting the rifle and without any explanation, the ammunition was taken from us and put behind the desk. I followed Steve and I explained that the ammo is range friendly and non-magnetic (meaning that there is no steel in the construction of the bullet) and my ammunition complied with their rules. I was told that I couldnt use the ammo. I insisted he put a magnet to the bullet, and when he did, it did not stick, proving that the ammo is ok to use at the range. I explained about this "range friendly ammo", and how it will not damage their range, and complied with the rules. Once Steve knew he was wrong, I was then given some bulls**t reason about the case not being brass and it messes up their sorting of the brass they resell $$$ (which isn't in the terms of use agreement). Range rules state that you can retrieve your own cases, which typically I do. The cases that customers leave behind are collected, sorted, and sold off for additional profit for the store. If you look outside the store, you will see hundreds, maybe thousands of steel cases swept out onto the ground. The ammunition I brought has a dark grey color which makes it easy to identify and its magnetic which makes it really easy to remove during sorting. I even offered to pick up my cases so they wouldnt have to deal with them! So there really shouldnt have been an issue from that point on, but they still didnt allow me to shoot the ammunition. I told him "fine, I wont shoot anymore of this ammo" and reached for my ammunition. Steve stopped me and wouldnt let me take the ammunition back into the range to put in my bag. WTF! I understand, it is their range, and they can do what they want. Its not good business to piss off customers by making up stupid rules.***The owner replied back to my review saying that I didnt follow their terms of use for the range. I found that really funny! Obviously they haven't read their own rules for their own range! Perhaps they should either read it, or change the terms of use to reflect the range rules THEY THINK is in the terms of use. Steve makes my family feel very uncomfortable going in the store due to the sexual innuendos and hazing that goes on. He has that reputation with many of my friends, they will not go there because of it.

One star is too many, unless you'd like to fear getting shot by the owner. Then I'd have to give all 5. I've delayed this review until I was no longer angry. Since I cannot get to that point, I want to share my experience with all. My son and I were in TCGS and while signing my 10 year old in to shoot, the owner thought it would be "comical" to point a gun at my son's head. How do I know it was pointed at his head? Because Steve had the laser light on with it right between my son's eyes. I couldn't believe it. Steve's excuse---"It wasn't loaded". Innocent people get shot with "unloaded" guns all of the time. The 1st rule of gun safety that we all should follow---"Always treat every firearm as though it is loaded". The 2nd---"Never allow the muzzle to cover anything you're not willing to destroy". These aren't my rules, they've been around for more than a century, and if the owner of a gun shop & indoor range cannot follow 50% of the basic firearm safety rules it's a shop that I will never enter or encourage anyone else to enter ever again.

Visiting from Texas, this range is awesome. Went in the morning and did not have to wait. Good equipment, cheap prices. Very friendly staff. Will visit again when in Kansas.
