We normally brush our husky ourselves, but lately he has been even more obstinate than a normal husky can be- so we drove the two hours to let the pros take over at Bark Avenue. 100% worth it!!! My husband was a little irritated at the idea of driving that far to get him groomed, but we were both so impressed by his transformation, he is glad to the drive when our pup needs it!When I tell you our dog looked homeless…he was ROUGH. But we can’t stop staring at him, he hasn’t looked this good in years! Our dog also has epilepsy, and the groomers were very attentive with asking questions, and making sure that they have my dog’s comfort in mind- they really made me feel comfortable leaving him with them to be pampered. They’ve def made us loyal customers!I wish I had a “before” pic, but I don’t have any that show how truly raggedy he looked while he was blowing his coat. But his “after” pic is absolutely gorgeous!

Our Ruby has her first professional groom at almost two years old and came out happy and beautiful. So thankful to McKenna for getting us in last minute and taking such good care of our baby. She looks and smells wonderful 😊

The groomer has a bad attitude every time we come in. She seemed inconvenienced by doing the services expected, verbally complains at the drop off and pick up over a few mats, then still charges (wouldn’t be a problem if she just charged without complaint), takes extraordinarily longer to finish our groom than others who get out first thing. Considering we haven’t been there in 8 months, and have tried maintaining on our own, our dog was not in bad shape at all. I see other people with great reviews on them.. quick service.. patience with brushing and working through mats.. but for some reason she has a huge problem with us and we just don’t feel welcomed.I want to try to give them just one more chance to see if they will continue to prioritize us latest.. but I don’t want to deal with the negativity again. They’re conveniently close to where we live, so it’s a hard decision to make.

We took our dog for a full service groom and for him to be shaved, and were not happy with the results. When we picked him up, his legs and tail weren't blended well at all. We called after driving home and the groomer offered to fix it; she did much better and fixed the blending. However, once we got home, we realized that the fur between his paw pads hadn't been trimmed at all. There was some lack of attention to detail, especially for the price. We appreciate the groomer doing her best to fix it but we still feel the quality is low.

Nana and the rest of the staff are wonderful people. They do a fantastic job grooming our cocker spaniels. They truly love working with dogs, and our dogs love to go there! We have used Bark Avenue for over 17 years and wouldn't think about using someone else! We live in Chapman and are willing to make the drive to see Nana.

Bark avenue was amazing! I dropped my dog off at 8 am and she was all done by 9:30. Every dog in there seemed relaxed and low stress which was great. They were super quick and did a great job. Definitely happy to have found a great groomer in Manhattan!

I dropped my boys off this morning for a de-shed and bath! The ladies are so nice and caring! They are very welcoming and truly care about the fur babies! My boys seemed a little anxious, but most likely just wanted to get out and play with the other doggos! They called me immediately to inform me that my boys seemed a little anxious and asked if I wanted to come pick them up early! Highly recommend this place! Will be coming back!

I've been taking my dogs to Bark Avenue for a few years now. Nanna, and her employees, are awesome. They are awesome in the sense that they truly care about what is best for your dog, i.e. if you do not brush your dog enough and your dog suffers because of it, they will tell you. Additionally, you can trust them like a good stylist- simply stating, "Do what you think is best" is fine because they are practitioners. Lastly, they are a small organization therefore you reap the benefits of such. I spend roughly $50 to get a trim with nails, teeth and ears cleaned and they don't mind if you call in without an appointment, however appointments are preferred. The comparison is rigid scheduling and roughly $90 for the equivalent at a retail or "larger" organization, at least in the Manhattan area.

I have had Japanese Chins my whole life and I have never found anyone as talented as Tanya at grooming them. More important, this is the only times my Chins have ever been completely comfortable going for grooming. They pull to go in and are happy when I pick them up--no signs of stress as I have had other places in Maryland. I love this place.

Love the place! They asked a lot of questions to make sure they used the right shampoos for Keller. Keller has sensitive skin and so they recommended fish oil for dogs. What a helpful place with friendly staff!

We've been bringing our Airedale here for six years. She's always happy to pull into the parking lot, the staff knows her by sight, and she always looks great when they finish!
