This place is a classic must stop every time we are in Kansas! The ring bologna is the standard, but they also have so many amazing other meats and local products. Make sure you hit the grass roots art center down the street as well.

Great job by new owners! Had them prepare a meat and cheese tray to pick up for a local event...of course we had to grab some summer sausage, beef jerky, and Labertew Honey! Check out their website...call them and order ahead....we had the smoked cheese and people loved it at our event.

Purchased smoked sausage links to take to my son in Manhattan on the 15th of February. They rode to his house in a cooler bag and were immediately placed in the refrigerator. When he got them out to cook them the following week, he discovered they had a freeze-by date of February 3rd and an off-smell. They ended up in the trash. Almost 2 weeks out of date when they were sold. Check your merchandise.

We have recently went into Brant's Meat Market. We were so impressed with the service and friendly owner who gave us samples of most everything and talking to us about their town with much pride. We ended up buying most every cheese he had at least a lb. or so. We also bought bacon and some sausage. Can't wait to go back! It is one of the best we have been to. He also had some very tasty jerky we sampled and bought. If you get the chance please visit for it is well worth the time and travel.

I've been going there since late 80s early 90s. My grandparents would take me on a road trip here. Pleased to see someone bought it and is keeping the same recipes!!! Original owner and family still help keep the traditional service and product with the new owner. Still tastes great!

Delicious meats! The owner here is amazing and talked about his little town with so much pride. Although this small town doesn't have a whole lot to offer aside from the Grassroots Art attractions, taking the few hours to go out of the way, to see such beautiful artwork, and what the real Kansas American life is/was like, is totally worth the trip. Having Brant's Meat Market is the icing on the cake. You must try the Peppered Sausage and the Beef Jerky! YUMMMM!!!

This is one of our true treasures in the state of Kansas. I grew up in Lincoln ks and have been coming here for years. It broke my heart when I heard they were closing. Thankfully the new owners have given it life again! This is literally the only place that makes head cheese I can eat! I know everything is going to be like I remember it. This place is the best in the U.S.A they watched me grow up year by year when my grandpa would make the trip every summer. Unfortunately my grandpa Larry Switzer has passed on and i need to plan a much over due trip back to my childhood. please if you are wanting to start a family short trip look these kind folks up and make the memories come alive in your children and grandchildrens hearts.
