I love this little place! Went in for brunch today and got a chance to look over the new menus and it looks fantastic! We got the country fried steak meal and a breakfast sandwich and both plates were large portions and DELICIOUS. The homemade gravy and biscuits were some of the best I've ever had. We ordered iced coffees with our meals and they were absolutely perfectly sweetened. Very clean, very friendly place with the small town vibe I love. It really feels like they genuinely care about your food and your experience. 10 of out of 10 across the board!

I’m visiting Kansas for work, ended up staying in Lincoln KS to be closer to my project. Stayed in downtown and found Frankie’s, everyone was very welcoming and great small town feeling! I got the chicken fried steak plate and it was delicious! The owner was very nice, I recommend this place 👍🏼

Don't let the casual look of this place fool you, because the food here is unbelievably good! My husband and I are on a motorcycle trip, and we badly needed a place to stop and eat. We chose this place based on the good reviews, and we're so glad we did. The breakfast is amazing, best chilaquiles I've ever tasted. Pancakes, sausage and eggs were all fantastic. Service was excellent, the owner is so friendly and welcoming. Do yourself a favor and eat here, you will not be disappointed! Wish we had a place like this back home in Seattle.

My wife and I stumbled upon this spot on a road trip and we were pleasantly surprised by how great it is! Comfy interior, delicious food (we had both breakfast and lunch), strong coffee, delicious pecan pie, and the owner Frankie was incredibly friendly. Well worth a drive from Butte, MT for some breakfast, lunch, or dinner and we can't wait to get back there. Do not miss this place!

What a fantastic, small town gem! We stopped on our way through after a long camping trip & were pleasantly surprised. Frankie was such a joy to work with & the food was very good. The Chuckwagon burger is huge, so keep this in mind. The kiddos had bean & cheese tacos…I was expecting refried beans, but it was nice to see whole beans being used. We grabbed a few cupcakes as well & they were excellent! We highly recommend stopping by this gem & will definitely be back again. Thank you Frankie!

***note****This is a different restaurant than the reviews that are before February 2021. They moved to Lincoln Kansas from their old location in Butte, Montana. They have a different menu, different location, etc.We had a bad experience the first time coming for dinner, so we gave it a couple more tries, including brunch. The timing was better, but the things that were wrong, stayed about the same. The owners (male at front desk area and amazing chef in back) and their mother, who is in most the time are kind, friendly, helpful, and remember most guests. It is a good hometown feel. They always have smiles. The other waitress is not helpful, slightly rude, and seems like she has no experience. I feel confident enough about this opinion. That I am not afraid for her to see this. Their business would do much better without an employee like that. When we were served by the owners, our drinks were filled and are plates were cleared quickly. When we were served by the other woman, we had to ask a few times for refills. And were never checked on. I had water, but husband had Coke.Prices are a little high. Cheapest is about $8 and some dishes are getting close to $20 a plate.Tables are tiny, and do not fit all the condiments and extras+the food. The portions seem small to me for the price. Specifically the nachos. Except their sandwiches. They are HUGE and there is no good way to eat it. You just have to break it up and eat with a fork. They have a signature Bean cheese dip mixture that is on most things. I think it is yummy. The green salsa is lacking in flavor, and they have no other salsa or Pico options. The silverware needed to be cleaned better. Some dishes were burnt. Like the chips and the Texas toast. The dishes look pretty, but are unrealistic for eating. The soft tacos are piled on eachother, the burgers slop all over, and the cajun chicken sandwhiches are huge and bottom is soggy.Salads were fine. Just a bag of mixed salad from the store, and you can see them filling the salad dressing cups with a great value bottle of ranch from the cooler.Food is slow to come out. It has improved since first opening of course. Appetizers and meal come out at the same time, so there is no use in ordering an appetizer. They need to make separate tickets for the chef for appetizers vs. Meals.Busquits were cut out squares like a sheet busquit, gravy was pretty good. Eggs were cooked to perfection, but had no salt/pepper, which is easy to add.Overall it was messy, pretty good flavor, but overpriced. We will probably not go again. It's about $50 with the tip and drinks each time we go for my husband and I. For that, we will go to town to a nice restaurant. Owners are great, and I tried it a few times because of that, but the negatives outweigh the positives for me personally. I've heard a lot of other people say they love it.If their prices lowered by 10-20% and they got a new waitress, we'd go back regularly.0/5 accessibility ♿️ good parking, but there were steps and inconvenient doorway entrance. Would be near impossible with a wheelchair, very difficult for a walker, and completely impossible for a motorized wheelchair.2/5 Baby friendly. No kind of table or changing station or anything like that in the bathroom. They do have highchairs available.*in the response to this review the owner has given understandable explanations. please note I have never ordered food to go, so I'm not sure who the owner is thinking of, but that was not us.

We visited late morning on a Sunday, just passing through the area. They were short staffed but handled it with grace. Service was a little slow but we understood why. We we very happily surprised, the Frankie's Classic breakfast was amazing, the Huevos Rancheros might have been even better! Order it with sausage & extra cheese! The country fried potatoes are some of the best anywhere.

If you are ever passing through Whitehall, MT, you’ve gotta stop by Frankie’s Country/Mex!!! We just happened upon this place driving from Three Forks to Missoula. Hubby had Chilaquiles, and says they were outstanding! The tortillas and green sauce were delicious! I had the BEST homemade biscuits and gravy I’ve had since my Mom used to make them. Priscilla also makes beautiful baked goods. Walked out with an orange/cranberry muffin and Brown Butter Banana Bread for later. Charles and Priscilla were very welcoming and we enjoyed sharing memories of great food and experiences we had in common while living in the Mobile, AL area. Stop in and say hello and let them serve you up some southern hospitality and excellent grub!!

We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon for early dinner... we were not disappointed! Ordered the Mac n cheese sandwich with fresh cut French fries was good but the Pricies Sweet Cajun Fire Chicken was over the top delicious. Hot spicy and full of flavor. Tender pieces of chicken dripping with a fiery crunchy sauce and a homemade biscuit. Full of flavor and homemade. Don’t drive thru Whitehall without stopping to eat here. Can’t wait to come back for breakfast. Good food, great service and good prices for homemade fresh food. We will be back!

I was skeptical about the high rating until I ate the food. It is an unassuming little cafe with great home style Mexican/country style food. I had the chilequiles, and it was fantastic. My wife had the Montana tacos and she really enjoyed them.

This is one of those “don’t judge a book by a cover” places. It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but the food is really good.Mac and cheese balls were good, the chips and salsa were awesome but they aren’t what you might expect. The chips are made there and the dipping sauce is super good. The quesadilla was amazing too. Deserts were good too!

Prompt delivery to my hotel. That burger was legit. Hand patty and thick. The bun was solid and needed to be to hold that mound of beef. Real cheddar cheese and tasty bacon. Fresh cut fries. Thanks for filling my belly up before my 1800 mile ride back to Nashville tonight.

These are the most down to earth, kind hearted people that had the most amazing burgers!!!!! 👍 My dad and I were traveling from Ohio to Seattle and got stranded for which what we thought was going to be a few days due to the inclimat weather. We got stuck in a snow storm that we were told by many that there was no other route to travel until conditions improve. We decided to go into Frankie's for a bite to eat and were greaeted by 2 very polite people. Charles sat down at the table and helped us find an alternative route that we could take to get us safely around the mountain. To put the cherry on top of the situation we had the most amazing meal. Their burger was not only huge and very filling but it was the most tasteful burger I have ever had. Everything tasted wonderful!!!! If you ever come across Whitehall, Montana, stopping and giving Frankie's a try would be well worth the slight detor off interstate 90!!!!! Thank you for helping us and having such wonderful food!!!!!P.S. we made it to our destination safely with your helpBeth & Dan from long lost Ohio

We passed two nice looking cafes in town before finding Frankie's. Like others, we were skeptical after seeing the rather drab facade. Once inside, though, it was warm, friendly and clean. The food was wonderful.

This place is phenomenal. Had the Montana blend burger and couldn’t be more pleased. The fries were so obviously fresh it was out of this world. If you’re coming through Whitehall and have an appetite this place is a must. Great people, great food. Thank you!!!

My wife absolutely loves the chips and Salsa, She enjoyed being able to have breakfast all day!! I myself love the Prisci's sweet fire cajun chicken. Just the right amount of heat and not overwhelming where you can't taste it. We will keep coming back just for that, but you can not beat the service and family atmosphere either. All around a wonderful place.

Judging by the other reviews maybe i went on an off day. It was my birthday and i ordered tacos, fries, and jalapeno poppers. It was basically grease with a side of food. The jalapeno poppers are huge! They were the best thing about the food. However the tacos and fries were so greasy it upset my stomach and i couldn't finish my poppers. I wouldn't mimd trying poppers again. But I'd probably leave the rest of the food alone. I give 3 stars because i give them the benefit of doubt and am assuming it was an off day for whoever was cooking. Maybe new or something.

Biscuits and gravy.. the worst I ever had. They weren't even Biscuits . Chewy and sweet . Bacon was hardly cooked. Scrambled eggs were just broken and smeared around a little. ROAD KILL would have been better. Don't know who you people are that said it was good.

Forgot to take a before picture but do yourself a favor and order the pork torta! Delicious!! Teenagers had breakfast that they loved (pancakes, biscuits and gravy and “the best bacon ever”). We added a side of fries to the youngest ones order & we’re delighted to see they were homemade!

Super friendly, super yummy! Not your average chips & salsa. All homemade and you can tell. Our kids loved it, especially the Grilled Mac & Cheese sandwich. Make sure to leave room for desert or take one to go.

Odd menu. Entrees have no sides included (ei: Spanish rice & refried beans), like a normal Mex restaurant. No logical decor, definitely not Mexican themed. It seems their focus is on cupcakes & other baked goods.Ordered the MT blend tacos for $7. I was expecting normal sized tacos, but they were small street tacos, with no side. Meat mixture was quite bland. Still hungry after eating. Travelers are better off stopping in Butte, Dillon, or Bozeman. Maybe their other entrees are better, not sure I would go back to try though.

This was my first time here after Karina’s had closed. I ordered the chilaquiles and they were very good. Tasty and spicy! The coffee was hot and fresh and service was fast. I am excited to try some other items on their menu.

Don’t judge a book by its cover. Building looks rough but the food is good. Needed breakfast as I passed through and was very satisfied with the Juevos Rancheros and coffee. I echo all the other reviews.
