Guy at the counter was friendly but I don't know how he lives with himself operating a place like this. This was the most disgusting place I've ever been. Hair and "fluids" on everything. I don't think they do anything besides make the bed. There is obviously no vacuuming or cleaning done. There was a blood stain on one of the pillows. I don't ask for much but good God.

I recently stayed 3 nights at this motel. When I say horrible it was a nightmare! The rooms smelled of cigarettes amongst other stuff. The towels they provided for guest looks like towels I was my car with. The tub, toilet, and sink was filthy! The tub was stopped up and globs of hair was floating in the water. I asked the owners did they have anything for clogged tubs he said no and left it at that. Then when the air-condition comes on you can't hear anything bcuz of the noise. Then when the air goes off water pours from the vent. The window curtains are filthy and hanging any kind of way. There are no working utility plug, so the bought a power cord from 1920 with the wires exposed! The toilet had a ring so thick on the inside I almost used a entire bottle of bleach cleaning it. This place should be closed down. Oh by the way check your receipts because they over charged me by $78 once and $74 the second time. You won't get a third chance. The Health Department is headed your way. I'm making sure of that!!!

First place we found after leaving Dodge. Happy to find a place. Pool looks nice but not open yet. No breakfast. It was ok but needs a little tlc. Looks like alot of road crews stay here. Carpet and furniture could use a shampoo and the tub needs some work. Shower had nice water pressure. Bed was very comfortable and nice sheetsWork in progress. Would stay again

This place was about the only place to stay in Larned. Roadway Inn is either temporarily or permanently closed. There was another motel in town that looked worse than the Townsman so I stayed at the Townsman. Not a friendly reception from the man behind the desk. Very cold, no smiling, no nothing. The 1st room was horrible. Old, falling apart, reeked of stale cigarette smoke. I asked for another room (which he was unhappy about) and the second room was much better although the fan in the room kept making an obnoxious noise. Both rooms had mold. Larned is a cute town. Too bad the hotel/motel accommodations are less than desirable.

We did not actually stay the night. My wife got sick from just the smell of the room. The level of bacterial growth throughout the room, is that of some public bathrooms. It does have a great location. We did not bother with the service, but others in our party said they were helpful. Although the room phone was so gross the hand set would not come off the receiver.

The door barely opens. Room smells of stale smoke, there are stains on the bathroom ceiling, the renovations were incomplete and jagged to the bathroom, the bed is small, the ac weak and the pool and breakfast do not exist. There is tape on the toilet seat. There are strange wounds to the walls all over. Still the sheets are clean and the fixtures have been cleaned at some point if not very recently. 59.99 turns into 67, but I wonder with a 4 dollar charge for credit.

No complaints. My needs are a place to sleep, refresh in the morning, then move on. I Loved the price therefore I had a good stay.Breakfast part of the package. Menu looks varied.Managers are friendly, room had some small blemishes. These did not detract from our stay. Climate management worked well, hot water on demand, firm bed to my liking, room space adequate.I'd come back should my travels bring me back this way.

Even though it could use a little decorating of more modern style. The stay was still too notch!!! Some of the best service with with friendly down to earth individuals with great insight on pretty much anything you might need to know about. Anyone welcome just be sure to call at least a week in advance to be sure to reserve your room giving it is the number 1 hotel in Learned, Kansas for pilots, truck drivers and load crews in the area. Limited smoking rooms but great place to stay if you ask me.

Well the new owner is definitely going to run it into the ground. Old owners took care of the pilot cars to keep them coming. Had a good rate considering the location. New guy charged 15.00 more just for pilot car rate. He's done nothing new and closed down the breakfast room. Good way to lose the biggest money maker

I highly, highly recommend! Yes, an older inn, but well maintained! Large rooms with microwave, & sm. refrigerator. And for the people who complain about not having hair dryers..... well, this place has them! Along with a hand iron. Great rates, pet friendly, coffee & breakfast bar in the am. Super nice management! This is now on my stop list during my bi-annual cross country trips!!

I don't leave reviews BUT this motel was nasty. Dirty bathroom, dirty tub, crickets in the bathroom, office chair was broken (thank God that the bed was right behind it to stop the fall) appeared that the desk (lamp base and mirror) was in need of being dusted/cleaned, no instructions on connecting to the wifi and the mattresses should have been replaced several years ago. I would not recommend this motel to anyone.

Nice big room with king bed, recliner. They are apparently under New Management. There is a lot they are trying to repair and fix. It's not bad for me so far. The New Managers are American, so it's allot easier to communicate with them and they understand any need you have! Pet friendly. Pool is not working or operable at all. Price was very nice.

Very friendly service. We had an emergency at our home with the sewer and so it was our home for the night. It is an older motel. They did keep it clean and we were comfortable. It was a safe place to stay and a 24 hour kwick shop is within a block of you need anything later in the evening. I would stay there again.

Room was dirty, needed dusting, cleaning around furniture, bed was horribly hard and made up terribly and looks like throw pillows we're used instead of bed pillows. Furniture was outdated and in bad condition. The one cup coffee maker button had to be pushed multiple times to make a cup. The refrigerator was dirty. Tile around sink was dirty. The light fixture in the bathroom was so dirty inside that it blocked light. The walls in the bathroom were dripping with nicotine. It was a smoking allowed room and the smell burned eyes and throat. Price was $38. Next time when in Larned I will spend $90.

Poor poor management and advertisement. There is a pool but it has not been open for 2 years. It is dirty and filled with trash. The breakfast is no good. You can get a better one at Taco Bell or Sonic. Seen a cockroach crawling on the wall then found a bunch of dead ones along the walls in the carpet. It was the worst place I have ever stayed, a tent would have been cleaner then the room. The pillow's was lumpy and uncomfortable. The bedding was horrible. It felt like crumbs in the sheets.

The owner/manager lady is always very nice and accommodating. Decent rooms, working amenities, nice outdoor pool during the summer months. Nice breakfast area with basic continental breakfast type foods. A/C, cable works. Some of the rooms have refrigerator and microwave. All rooms have coffee pot, blow dryer, iron and ironing board. Nice people, nice location. Walking distance to fast food restaurants, Dollar General. Safe, parking right in front of your room.

Stayed here on a school trip. Found dead and live spiders in my room and it had a slight odor. Out of about 9 rooms we booked for the trip, I’d say mine was 2nd best. Some rooms reeked so badly of smoke I couldn’t bare it. Many found stains on blankets and towels. Overall, it just has a very unclean feel to it and I found it hard to get comfortable and rest soundly.

We have stayed at the Townsman Inn in Larned a number of times in the past several months. We are welcomed and the service is great. In those months we have seen the people who are running it have worked to make it a better place. The rooms have been clean and when they clean it while we are there they make sure the trash is emptied and the dirty linens are changed with clean items. Durning the breakfast time there is plenty of different foods and juice. Thank you for all you do for your customers.

Very nice people. First room I had had a leaky faucet, so they gladly got me into a different room. Some stains on most of the towels/washcloths, and a few cigarette burn holes in the comforter. Otherwise just fine for the price.

Short on housekeeping help. Was given a room that had not been checked. It was not cleaned and had a moldy smell. But I give them 5 stars for understanding why we had to leave, they refunded our money even though we didn't ask them to.

Their maid service is terrible. They say they clean rooms all they do is make beds and change towels. Bugs on floor room hasn't been vacuumed. Toilet still nasty looking. People I know that staying here also have much worst complaints. If u were homeless this might be a step up.

As a pilot car escort I spend 80 percent of my nights in a hotel. Usually I am disappointed either with cleanliness or price or both. This place was very clean, comfortable and the price is more reasonable than all others. I WANT to come back. I've been able to comfortably RELAX! If I could put 0 stars I would. We were here 2 years ago and everything was great, as of this recent experience it was most terrible. New bath towels I was given had disgusting red stains through out them, we found 8 cockroaches between the two of our rooms. The pool is out of service which they failed to tell us over the phone when we made reservations in advance, however it is also disgusting to look at because of light amount of green water being left in the pool and trash piled up in it. They told us room services are closed on Sunday, when we requested more towels the office lady told us what we already had should be enough in a snarky voice, the grass and weeds are not up kept. Our rooms were disgusting, toilets had to be flushed 7 times or more to get anything down, a ball of hair was floating in our tubs, there was snot on the wall by the headboard of my bed, dirt collecting up on the floor clearly due to not vacuuming along with dead cockroaches under the air conditioner (not including the live ones found crawling up our walls), their "DELUXE BREAKFAST" lounge had food I wouldn't even feed to dogs and coffee that was terrible. This place is NOT clean and NOT a pleasant stay. The cherry on top of this experience was watching the manager walk out of a room, with her daughter and granddaughter. While her daughter was screaming and cursing at the little girl that couldn't have been more than three years of age. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had in a motel.

Beds were horribly uncomfortable. The decorations and room color was not comforting. The bedroom I stayed in had broken furniture missing light bulbs and was just disgusting. Disappointed the hotel was better when it was a best western owned and ran.

Cheryl is a gem she is very helpful. The motel is quite atiquate reflateed by the rate. If you are look for a Marriott don't go here go to the other one and pay those prices. The breakfast is one of the best ever

Totally false advertising. There is a pool, but it has no water in it! There is no continental breakfast as stated on their website. Wifi is barely operational. First room they showed us had mold in front of the toilet. We stayed for two nights. They didn't clean the room while we there. Keep driving.
