Bed uncomfortable .. buy a couple pillows before your stay, roomed smelled of dog piss.Husband thinks there were stains of a dog messed on the tile but could have been part of the tile ..I was charged $89 for he stay but account shows $101 .. Just a basic room no coffee . Need to have to call to have someone come to open up it didn’t take him long to arrive but inconvenient.. only thing great about this stay was conveniently located to spend time with family instead of driving to Great bend ..Next time driving the 20 miles for the price, was not worth the money.. ‼️Rooms: Basics , bed , sheets need to put the 3 pillows together to make one pillow .

I have very mixed feelings about my stay. This was December of 2023When I showed up, it was 8 P.M. there was nobody at the counter, the door was locked, and there was a sign on the door that read "call this number for assistance." When I called, a young man answered and informed me that I has just woke him and he would be there soon. 5 minutes later he showed up in his car and he went around the building to unlock the front door and let me in.I booked for 3 nights. After booking the 3 nights I asked "how much is it" his response was "total is $87. Plus $25 For the dog" I said "Wow $87 for 3 nights, that's insanely cheap!" His response was "Yes."My throught was "Okay, they've been closed for almost a year so they are making it super cheap to get customers back." (The rooms are also super bare and feel like they are missing all the furniture.)Durring my stay, the dog was walking down the hall with us to look for the ice machine and one of the workers came running out of the office and was literally yelling across the building "Get that dog back in the room now! People are allergic to them" I was caught off guard as my dog is a hypoallergenic dog meaning it is one of the few dogs people can't be allergic to, but I listened to them anyway.Upon checkout I was billed $282 plus $75 for the "pet fee" and he said "no, I meant $87 per night and its not a pet deposit its a fee."Rooms: The rooms are bare, basic, and cheap in quality.Noteworthy details: Communication sucks so ask lots of questions and make sure you get the right answers.

For starters we had to wait 15 mins or so for someone to arrive so we could get a room, apparently there isn't anyone on site most of the time and he wasn't paying full attention because he gave us a room then realized we had a dog so he had to give us a different room. It was right next door and both were pet friendly supposedly. About 15 mins after checking in we needed WiFi information and wanted to see what the vending machine has and we got about two rooms away from ours when a different person started screaming at us from the other end of the hall to get our dog back in the room! It took us by surprise and he continued yelling. My husband tried asking questions to maybe understand what he was telling us but he was very rude! He kept trying to say say our dog was going to cause discomfort to anyone with allergies... I have a Bichon frise, a hypoallergenic dog for your information and we were literally the only guests in the entire hotel, seriously! So we went back to the room and my husband attempted to get some help with the WiFi and the guy was just plain rude and in no way helpful! Needless to say we only stayed one nightFood & drinks: Vending machine was almost completely empty

We had been traveling from New Mexico and tired. Around midnight we found the Rodeway in Larned. Nobody was at the front desk. The door was locked with a phone number posted to call for service. We called the number and they answered the phone. We asked for a room for the night and they responded that they didn't have any rooms available. There were six cars parked in the parking lot. They had plenty of rooms. When we said that they hung up on us.So they were obviously lying about the room availability.Whomever is running this place are terrible people in my opinion. They need to be SHUT DOWN!

I have stayed here multiple times over the years when I came to visit family. It's been mostly decent. I will not stay again. On the first night, the sheets were filthy, with hair, dirt and bodily fluids on them. The heater didn't work (in mid-March) and only blew cold air. We shivered through the night and then asked the front desk to take a look at it, but they never did. When we got back at 9pm our third night we discovered it still only blew cold air, I asked the front desk for help, and they barely acknowledged me. Just said they would mention it to the day people. She was more interested in getting outside to smoke than in assisting me in finding a way to be warm at night. Not even extra blankets or allowing me to switch rooms (when there were plenty empty). Truly horrible experience. That's what I get for putting up for it for three days. DO NOT believe these people if you have a complaint and they say they will fix it.

The place is very clean, rooms are nice an decent sized, and comfortable. The place needs updated. The website say free breakfast but you get there and no breakfast just coffee. They need to update the website and room rates should reflect no breakfast. No elevator for 2nd floor so if going there and have issues with stairs request 1st floor. Only on entrance as they have the rear door locked. Would be nice to be able to come in from the rear if your room is closer to it.

We stayed here and was not given the best service. There was no bedding for the couch and staff acted like it was to much for them to go out of their way to get sheets and blankets. Acted like we were lying about not having bedding. Then there was no remote in the room and was told that there is one and acted like we were lying. We did get one the next day but it was the last day we were staying. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. No elevator for second floor. No breakfast served due to Covid.

It wasn't bad, some stuff was newer but there were issues that were disappointing. There was no hot water. My husband took an unpleasant Luke warm, barely warm shower. I didn't get one because the warm water was gone. Same thing when I tried a bath the night before. The tub plug wouldn't work so I tried to plug it with a towel. Ended up having to keep my heel on the drain to keep the water in. Not relaxing after a long day driving. Light bulb was missing in the nightstand light. Had to go to desk to get one. Room had a door that opened into the hall and one that opened to the parking space. Out side door couldn't be opened from the outside. Inconvenient. The beds are very high. I had a hard time climbing up and I'm 5' 5". Room was quiet and nice sized. I slept well.

This hotel has new owners since early 2020 and you can tell the new owners do not take care of the property. We had a King room, the bed was in very poor condition. Stains on the floor, tub faucet leaking, outside door wouldn’t shut completely allowing cold air in, furniture in poor condition, a mouse found on first night. On the 2nd morning of our stay the hot water heater broke (Xmas eve). We were contacted and simply told hot water heater broke. Nothing was offered. When we called back it was another apology and were told there was nothing they could do. Eventually a credit was offered, however they even backed out on the credit offer and charged my CC 95% of the full rate. When we inquired about it we were simply told there was nothing more they could do. Very sad because this use to be such a good place to stay for the holiday in the small town. These new owners need to learn how to take care of their guests.

We stayed here for work with our family for a total of 7 nights. I began getting bit on our second night. My husband swore I was crazy and that must be mosquitos. I started going to bed fully clothed in jacket socks and pants. My husband and kids were not getting bit. I got terrible bites the 6th night I mean like 8 of them in curves and swore it was bed bugs but alas my husband looked and didn’t see anything and begged for us to give it another try since there wasnt many hotels around. That 7th night I woke up in the middle of the night with more bites and was determined to prove I wasn’t crazy I searched like a man woman and finally lifted the sheet and found a bed bug. I slept in the bathtub and when my kids got up went to inform the front desk. They said they didn’t think that was a bed bug most likely and would need to check. They got up to our room and said they didn’t see anything and weren’t going to refund our money. Told me im probably lying and caught one outside(not even possible?!) and that after unzipping the mattress cover 1/4 of the mattress they don’t see any. I of course argued that I caught a live bed bug they’re holding and am covered head to toe in BED BUG BITES they said if your leaving the hotel we will refund you for last night. We packed left and went to a hotel the next town over. However 2 days later they took back the refund and charged us. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Disgusting DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU LIKE EX BUGS AND TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT WHO DO NOT CARE AS LONG AS YOU PAY!!! This place should be shut down!

We got in very late (midnight) and there was someone there to check us in. She was nice and got us in quick. Rooms were clean and beds were pretty comfy. With the virus there wasn't much for the continental breakfast. Some sealed OJ, muffins in ziploc bags, some hostess type items and oatmeal. We didn't get a chance to test the internet as we weren't there long. The towels were fluffy and soft! :)

I have stayed here many times and I love this place! Very friendly staff and very clean rooms! I will continue to stay here when I come to Larned, Ks. They have a pilot car rate too!!To all you pilot cars complaining and leaving bad reviews because you want to park in the parking lot and not rent a room. Stop!!!! Park in the parking lot next door of the closed store or pay the money! Be professional!! You make all of us look bad when you act like a child!!

I love relaxing here when I travel to Larned. The only reason I wouldn't give five stars is because the last visit had hunters and they slammed a lot of doors early in the morning. Otherwise the staff is always great.I didn't like the breakfast as much as I thought. Bacon is always better than sausage. The mini pancake machine didn't cook as well as the full pancake machine that cooks the pancake thoroughly.

Pricey, smelled of something dead in bathroom.Staff was very friendly at check in & out.Lay out of furniture in room was not comfortable.Chair should not be in middle of floor in front of desk. Had to slide desk to outside wall by floor lamp and move chair kinda between so could sit in chair while watching tv. Desk should be along wall by tv ( my personal beliefs.

We have stayed here numerous times and the price continues to rise as the cleanliness and quality declines. We stayed there Sunday night (9-1) and were booked to stay Monday night as well. After being kept awake most of the night by neighbors on both sides who were hunters with young dogs that whined all night which in turn made our poodle bark, we left Monday afternoon. The hunters had backed their pickups in and left the dogs in the back. This had the dogs crying right outside our door. After complaining with no results we will most likely stay in Great Bend on future trips.

Rooms are clean but when my husband stayed there when he went out of town for work, the outlet for the microwave and fridge didn't work and all the food he had taken to eat for the week went bad. They told him it was his fault because he plugged his PlayStation in. How was he supposed to know the electric outlets were crap, we have never had this issue before when staying in hotels. The people that worked there couldn't care less! I would avoid this hotel if you can.

Hotel was not too bad. If you have to stay in Larned it is your best option of the three. Breakfast options were waffles, egg patties, sausage, cereal, bagels, English muffins, and pastries. Water pressure was good but the outlet by the bathroom didn't work.

Room was small with a large bathroom. We were assigned a handicapped room although we'd neither needed nor requested one.No restaurants available. Motel recommended the golf course sports grill/bar. OK if you don't mind golf games and 2 or 3 football games blaring at you from surrounding TV's. I don't remember the food.

The rooms were quite nice. There were several loud rooms around me, but you couldn't hear anything once you shut the door. I do wish they had some kind of pool/hot tub.

Compared to the Townsman Inn, this place is nicer BUT the staff is hit and miss with friendliness and there is just something cold and a weird vibe about this place I don't care for. I felt uncomfortable... and they use a ton of bleach on EVERYTHING, the smell is so strong it burns my eyes at times from the sheets and towels.

Not the newest hotel by any means. There have been some upgrades since my last stay there about a year ago. No pool so that's kind of a sad thing, but the hotel was clean and friendly staff make up for that.
