Stopped here with my three year old while driving through kansas. It's a great little fast food place! Reminds me of a dairy Queen and Sonic put together with a few more things on the menu like fried pickles and okra. Food was yummy and burgers taste a lot like Sonic burgers. Ice cream treats remind me of dairy Queen. (They even have the same set up behind the counter so maybe it used to be one). Great food and the girls were very sweet. Definitely recommend!!! The seasoned fries were delicious and my kiddo loved them!

Service was bad..the girl taking our order was rude n didn’t listen. they had tons of help., but not great service. Told her we were eating there.. got a table n she still gave us our food in a big brown bag.. one bag for everyones food. We had to separate it ourselves. She just came to our table n sat the bag in the middle of the table n walked away.. like she was mad we dined in. Not a single word to us, like enjoy your meal or can I get you anything. No plates or trays to put our food in. No ketchup or mustard on the table. Then we got the side eye from the same girl the whole time we ate. Not the place it used to be that’s for sure. Overall 1 star because I had to.

What a cute diner! Love the retro furniture. The staff was super friendly and accommodating to my gluten free options. Tasty burgers and fries. Lots of available sauces and condiments. We didn’t even have to ask for them. No gluten feee fries as they’re all batter dipped😟. Highly recommend!

Had the cowboy burger I believe, Pattie was dry, fries were tasty but really greasy. Service on the other hand was outstanding. Nice friendly smiles, brought my food to me. Kept the place pretty clean. Maybe it was just an off day. What else can you expect in a really small town.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. I ordered my food around 830 and told them I was traveling through and wouldn't be there til 930. I got there at 935-940 and said I had a call in order, which was a steak finger basket and order of onion rings, but wanted to add a corn dog for my kiddo and a root beer float as I didn't know they had them when I made the order. I got the order and drove off as I was continuing on my trip. I got down the road and the fries that came in the basket were warm like they made the order at 830 instead of 930, the 6 onion rings that I received were also warm and crunchy as they had sat for a while cooling down, and steak fingers were also below par and didn't even eat them. The only thing that came out got was the corn dog and gravy for the basket. On top of it all I was charged $17 and some change for that. I'm still calling the store and talking to the owner or someone in charge, as the ones working looked like two kids!!! 😡😡😡😡

Went on my lunch break to get food and decided to go through the drive through. After 30 minutes of waiting for them to talk so I can order I decided to just pull around to the window and order that way. And even after getting my food they still didn’t get it right. There was 5 people behind me waiting to order food as well. Amazing food but terrible service.

Was going thru Kansas, saw the diner and stopped. We loved it! The girls working were so sweet! The atmosphere was great, like a soda shop kinda. 50's music and really good food! Their drive thru was non stop while we were there!

Stopped in Lakin to stay the night while on the road to Colorado! This was the best little diner we've been to in a while The! The most delicious green chili cheeseburger and onion rings! Fries were delicious also! 😋

Awesome little joint in the middle of nowhere. Usually make it a stop on the way to Dodge City. The corn nuggets are awesome. Good burgers, good shakes and the steak fingers are good too. Customer service is always exceptional.

Great local fast-food place. Kind of reminiscent of a spangles. Bacon burger is really good fresh bacon every time. All food is cooked to order. They serve almost any fried food or fast food item you can think of almost like having the fair in town everyday.

Very clean restrooms! Service with a smile. We got there after the lunch rush and every employee was either waiting on customers or cleaning everything from the restrooms to the glass entry doors. All of them were friendly and helpful which is not always the case with younger (High School/college age) people now days. I definatly recommend this little place if you are coming this way and I know we will stop there again on our next trip to Colorado.

For burgers and sandwiches this place is excellent!!! The service and service is as good as the food. I am very picky, but this place makes me feel welcome and the food is great. I wish that I asked for names because they all need to be recognized. Thank you for everything Flashbacks!!!
