This store has a huge selection and very competitive if not lower prices on most items. Only thing that would make it easier to shop or plan a project for me, would be if I could see the prices of patio stones and blocks outside without having to get an app...but other than that it is a clean well stocked store.

Very nice store and the first Menards I ever been to. Have been coming here a lot lately to get stuff to fix up my house it’s a lot better and more affordable than Lowe’s. It’s a very clean place with friendly workers. Have not had a bad experience here would highly recommend going here if you are in the Kck area.

The store itself isn’t bad. However, I would strongly recommend avoiding doing cabinets and countertops through them. It might be more of a corporate issue because the drafting software is absolute garbage. I went in to fix 4 dimensions and spent nearly four hours in store just for it to be wrong again. Countertops showed up with stains/marks that wouldn’t come off with recommended cleaners and were clearly assembled using several remnants, so the base colors didn’t even match. I’ll save you the 25% restocking fee. Just don’t do it.

Bought a battery backup system for a customer and purchased a batt to go with it. They automatically put on a 10.00 dollar core charge. There will be no battery to bring back since this a new system. Manager stated they cannot take that charge off. I asked what if it is ten years from now before I have a battery to bring back, she said save your receipt.

Horrible customer service. Jim is a terrible GM! You should never accuse people of stealing after spending that much money. You also may want to revisit your illegal search procedure at the gate. Racist practices much? Then call the police in a flimsy attempt to enforce it? Even the police would not back your illegal practices. Will never be back! You need to be removed immediately.

Menards will always be my favorite hardware store we have great prices great clearance sections everything you'll ever need even done little things for the kids I could walk in and get a 2x4 and a thing of hamburger helper I don't know what else you could ask out of this world

Nice store, but there is a lady that works in the mornings who loves children and tries... but all she does is creep my child out and makes me uncomfortable. She doesn't seem to have any sense of when she's making someone uncomfortable. I prefer to go at night because she isn't here.

I don't usually post reviews on employees, but today is an exception. I went in the Garden Center doors and 2 employees were talking by the doors going into the store. I was not greeted in any way. I found what I wanted without any assistance. I went to the register and heard one employee tell the other that there was a guest. The employee that was working in the Garden Center came over to the register and didn't even acknowledge me with a smile or even verbally. The item I purchased rang up $1 more than the price on the shelves and I asked about it. I was told the price it ringing up is what is on her phone. I suggested that the price on the shelves might need to be corrected. I still made the purchase but her attitude left a lot to be desired. Fortunately I have had good customer service at the Store in KCKS, but if all the staff acted like this one, I wouldn't be returning.

I love the 11% rebate deal at menards. we came here for our christmas decorations and easily found what we were looking for. come back during the summer and found what we needed for our lawn care needs

Gabriel S. in the project center was fantastic. I came into the store and wasn’t really sure what I needed for my project. He walked me through everything and gave me different options and lots of advice. He was VERY knowledgeable about the different materials and I couldn’t be happier with the service! Went into the store in Olathe looking for this floor. Talked to a guy that worked there and asked him if he could show me where it was located at. After seeing the floor I told him I needed 23 boxes. He said there wasn’t any left but he was going to check if another store had it. He told me that legend store had 20 and the one in MO had more. I told him if he could order the ones from legend and I will pay that day with him. He said he couldn’t do that because they were different stores. He also said I could go the next morning to get them. So I did. When I got there the prices were different. I had to go back home and get the flyer to show the guy that was helping me out. He called his manager and said they couldn’t give me that price because it expired yesterday. I told them about what happened with the Olathe store yesterday and they seem like they didn’t believe me. They also asked for the name of the guy that helped me out in the Olathe store but I didn’t look at his name tag. I also showed them the paper where the guy in Olathe wrote down the number of the floor. This time I did look at the manager name it was Jason. He told me he couldn’t do anything about it because it expired yesterday. If I would of known it expired yesterday I would of drove all the way to the legend location to get it but since the employee told me I could pick it up the next morning I didn’t bother to do so. Very BAD manager. I’m even surprise how he can be a manager!! I will make sure to tell all of my friends and family to never take a flyer because they don’t take them!!! I’m extremely disappointed and sad of how I was treated!!

Would much rather a zero star rating, but that's not an option. Since this store opened, they were my happy place. Seriously, I'd get off work at 6am and head straight there just to wonder around and shop. I've bought a shed, hundreds of dollars of plants, several hundred dollars more in lumber. It only made sense that I'd purchase a weed eater here. This single purchase has caused this store to be dead to me! The little bit of service I did receive was rude and incredibly unhelpful. We purchased the extended warranty, assuming that was the answer to any problem that could arise, but ha ha, jokes on us! We used the weed eater less than 5 times, and then it died. We bought the push button start, and the push button seems to have a wiring issue and won't work. We initially took it to the menards customer service area, thinking it was a simple exchange. Nope! We'd put gas in it, so it has to go through the manufacturing company. The cashier tells us this as if we're trying to take money out of her personal pocket. She called the department manager and he gave us an 800 number for the company. I call them the following morning, again assuming it's an easy fix. Ha ha again! They tell me the nearest service store is 2 hours away, but I can't take it there because it's too far away and that's against their policy. Ok, fine, I don't want to go that far anyway. The first person said to give them 24-48 hours to locate a closer place. After the third day, I call to follow up and get told that's an impossible time frame and I shouldn't have been told that. I'm told they need time to research... I'm still waiting, a month later and the grass is growing taller and taller while I've been ghosted. For Menards to sell merchandise from a company that treats their customers this way, makes then just as guilty in my book. Shame on you LawnMaster, and shame on you Menards!

WAS MY FAVORITE PLACE TO SHOP...EVER!!! Until...we ordered custom cabinets for our kitchen remodel. The employee (Justin) put the dimensions in incorrectly, which left us short cabinets. The general manager, Jim Hrivnak, refused to do anything to correct the mistake the employee admitted to making. Told my husband to "fill out a complaint card." I called to speak to the GM, Jim, and he refused to speak to me, putting another manager on the phone who was the rudest person I've ever spoken to.Corporate won't help out. Other store managers would like to help, but can't because it was the KCK store's mistake.After spending over $20,000 at Menards for our remodel, they can't bother to fix their mistake. This is the worst customer service ever.

I'd give no stars if it was allowed. I purchased a grass trimmer via the Menards website for $189. I used it once and did not like it so I returned to the store. After a back and forth for some dumb reason, they finally processed the return. Only to tell me that there was a "restocking fee" of 25% because it was considered a "special order". So they kept $47.47 of my return. I guess all online purchases are "special order". What a scam. No way to treat a customer and very greedy. They don't care about the customer only the $$$. I will never, ever, ever, ever set foot in a Menards or purchase anything from Menards again. Greedy company with no customer value. Shopper Beware!!

Retaining wall bricks are all different sizes by half inches. Can never find anyone with a forklift. If you decide to build a retaining wall get your bricks from anywhere else. Waste of time, no matter how perfect the base layer is. The bricks will still be off

Clean and well lit.Understocked. Not enough help. And the older gentleman in the garden section was very nice and helpful... didn't get his name.The rest of the employees we encountered were Rude and Unfriendly!!! Like we were bothering them asking for help.

I did not want to give any stars! Your loss prevention guy approached me after I paid for ALL my items with a picture of me asking where an item was. At some point, I placed the items I had in my hands on a shelf. I forgot one item on the shelf when I pick up other items. But he approached me on my way out the store in front of others like I stole something. What an Embarrassment! This was in no way right.

I was treated based upon my race, I had a dispute on a rental truck price with the manager(Ben)While talking to me, he attended a phone call from a costumer, make me wait around 10 minutes, and did not solve my dispute properly.If he is the general manager, to whom should I complain?

Purchased a washer online, they never sent me a confirmation email nor a reciept. The website says that I have to come into the store . The employees in this building looked at me like I was crazy when I asked him for help. They told me I needed to go to the website. I don’t know if it’s a Menard thing or if it’s just this location thing but buyer beware. At least for big purchases

By far the WORST customer service any "assistant general manager" could provide to a customer who was in their store last night, in line checking out, PURCHASING items, while completely being embarrassed as I was approached by security in line, CHECKING OUT, Infront of other customers, not even pulled to the side && INCORRECTLY accused of stealing.Then to continue, I was continuously questioned Infront of EVERYONE, after politely answering her with the word NO. As in NO I didn't have a flash light she was saying I did, . She brought a hand held small monitor showing a picture of my friend and I shopping through the store and me showing him a flash light I thought he might need as he'd been working on his vehicle and it was already dark out, I had picked up and then sat right back down after he shook his head no, he didn't need or want it.. I even was made to walk through the store, leaving the checkout line as the cashier scanned the items I was in the middle of purchasing, as we all know they do not even have self check out lines, to show the security lady where I had sat down the flash light she was saying I still had. I wasn't even done checking out at the time so even if I did have the flash light I wouldn't have been in the wrong as I was still being rang up by the cashier of items I was purchasing, that's besides the point however. The flash light of course was still where I said it was.So my question is this ladies and gentlemen, if you're watching the cameras 'so closely" and take shop lifting "so seriously" shouldn't you also have been watching them "so closely" that you saw me sit the flash light back down, and not carry it out to the lawn and garden section as I was being told I did when I didn't? && Shouldn't you also take wrongly accusing someone "so seriously" of committing a crime they never did to start with? && last question being, Shouldn't you take your job SERIOUSLY enough to apologize when the customer calls rightfully upset the next morning to make the store aware of the situation, instead of still making it out to be a fault of mine when there was not a single thing done wrong by anyone other than store employees actions and false accusations of Menards at the Legends in Kansas city Kansas. ?

Today picked plant from this display ..correct Size of pot ..but when got to check out cashier had to call over manager.. said more planted in this one ..said someone had probably set down there .. item was to the back of display..would not sale for sign.. Other than that cudo...store was nice and clean and employees very helpful

I went to Menards store on Dec. 30th to pick up online order. Had to go through security behind store. Once I picked up the order I had to stop and have security check the receipt. Gate operator opened the gate and told me to proceed. About half way through the gate the gate came down and struck the cab of my truck, then raised back up and continued to cycle coming down on my truck. I exited the vehicle and ran back to hold the gate arm up to keep from causing additional vehicle damage. Gate operator finally came to my assistance. He held up gate while I moved my truck from under it. Caused damage to my cab of my truck. Filled out incident report with Jesse the front end store manager. Later that day their insurance company reached out to me and gave me a claim number but told me they had to do a store investigation. Now on Feb. 3rd 2023 their insurance company called and said they were denying the claim as the gate attendant is a 3rd party and their insurance will have to take care of the issue. So now I am going to have to wait and hope they contact me. 3600 dollars of damage to my new truck and getting the run around. So basically if they damage your vehicle good luck trying to get Menards to make it right.

If I could give zero stars I would. Had a special order, (3) 6x6’s #1 10’ long and (3) 1x12’s smooth 16’ long. Was notified twice that the products were ready for pickup. I arrived and only (2) of each was available or undamaged for pickup. So 16’ long is not the easiest length to pick up, and I had waited 3 weeks to have my father in law available to bring his trailer down from his farm to help me pick these items up. So now I will have to wait another who knows how long and make additional arrangements to pick them up. I spoke with Shawn in special order pickup and he quoted me over $140 for delivery if I couldn’t pickup. I asked if they could deliver for free since it was his mistake, the answer was the only mistake was they didn’t have the items at the store and the delivery was not his problem. Called back and talked with manager and he said delivery was $90 and he would do it for $45. What was Shawn doing with the extra he quoted? Either way they basically said not our fault it’s a computer that tells you items are at store, I should of called to verify all items were available and there. I will never shop at any Menards again, no one I spoke with seemed to really care, not their fault and wanted me to move on.

Cheerful returns. If you don't have your receipt, all you need is the credit card you used to purchase the item. You can print a copy of your receipt and get a full refund!

You're gonna see giant neon signs boasting 11% rebate about every 10 feet in this store, but remember that they are going to try to make sure you DO NOT get to use that rebate.If they wanted you to actually get the deal, they'd let you turn in the form at the help desk. But they want you to go home with your $20 purchase and your $2 rebate and then immediately mail it with a 50-cent stamp and an envelope. Because if you wait a couple weeks until you have a couple other receipts, the offer has expired. It has to be QUICK.
