As someone who work in customer service I understand the urgency to want to go home early and I make it a rule to never enter a store 15-20 minutes before closing because I never want to be in the store after closing time. So when I saw it was 9:28pm after driving back my own job I saw this store didn’t close until 10pm I assumed i wasn’t imposing on the workers time to get off. After looking for the things that I needed to get to not have to bother them tomorrow when everyone is scrambling for last minute ingredients for new year ever parties I heard the African-American lady say in the intercoms at 9:38 “store is closing, make your final selection and bring them to the front register.” Given the fact that there was 22 minutes until 10pm, I hurried to find everything I needed since I didn’t want to be in the store past 9:50pm. At 9:44pm the African-American lady got in the intercom and said “our store is closing now, make your way to the register. Hurry! Hurry! Hurry!” That’s when I looked at my watch and saw it was 9:44pm. As I made my way to the register since I thought I might have read the wrong time in maps and maybe they closed at 9:30pm instead of 10pm, I saw the African-American lady passing by me and calling out to her coworker (an older white lady) “it’s the end of the year people need to hurry up and get out of the store!” (it was December 30th). I was the only one in the store so I know she meant it specifically for me. The other white lady said “thank for the last intercom and making people hurry up and get out of here.” Then she looked back at me and said in a mocking tone “I’m kidding”. I laid out my items and as she checking them out I revisited to the website to see when they closed and sure enough it said 10pm. I live a few minutes from this family dollar and the employees are always pleasant and I’ve never had any negative experience from the employees ever but today I felt the rudeness and aggressive behavior they presented towards me was uncalled for. Once again I understand being done with the day and not wanting people to come right at closing but I wasn’t there a few minutes before closing but rather 32 whole minutes before they close and was kicked out 14 minutes before they closed. As I got into my car they followed me out and stood outside the door to prevent other customers from entering the store. They ended up closing and locking the doors at 9:57pm. If I could give negative stars I would. There was trash on the floor and on the shelves. The products were all mixed around or not even there. The place looked nasty and trashed. I would rather drive further away to get the products I need than come here.

My complaint is pertaining to the outer appearance of the store it is absolutely horrible! At night the parking lot is not lit up like other stores, making it unprotected and dangerous. The customer service is amazing, the employees are absolute sweethearts.

If I need a common forgotten ingredient this place usually has it. Shelves are usually always neat and stocked. Glad to have it just down the street from me.

Since they revamped the store to bring in the Dollar tree items or wows as they're called a family Dollar a lot more choices and a lot of decent stuff for just a dollar and I really like the way the store looks now and haven't Heather back makes a big difference as to store manager. It's the best that stores ever been like all the new product

If zero stars was an option that would be my rating!! I go to this store all the time it is a block away from my house and until today I have never had a problem but I will never go back!!! I Assume it was a manager that stopped me in the middle of an isle while i was shopping and said "Can I see inside of your purse? Another customer said you were putting stuff in your purse although I did not see it." So with other customers watching I showed my purse and gave her my cart and told her she could keep it all. I dont need to be humiliated while shopping at the dollar store! I make enough money to pay for the$50 of stuff i had in my cart who does that to a customer? I confronted the other customers at the front of the store and i was told i needed to leave she was calling the cops when i had done nothing wrong at all... I will be reporting this it was very demeaning and i dont beleive you should treat customers like i was treated in this store today even if someone said that i think its your job to watch the camera and decide if thats true and it obviously was not that situation was dealt with very ignorantly... SMH

Upsetting...how are you going to sale everything for a birthday, graduation ect even hv cards, but cannot find Thank You cards not for just for one person but even a pack of 5 or 10 would have been sufficient..very disappointed

This store used to be excellent. In the past year it has really gone to hell... the new management is no good, the shelves are always empty the store is dirty the doors arent working... when Miss Heather and Taron ran the store it was always great the shelves were stocked and the store was sparkling and if something didnt work.... they got it fixed.

It was the worst experience I have been in the customer service was horrible and the cashier was very rude and also she didn't listen to what I said then contradict herselfsaying that I needed to speak up when I asked for her manager to do exactly what her manager did then she started ringing my stuff back up that I told her I didn't wantso it was horrible and I wouldn't recommend anybody to go to this family Dollar because the customer service is horrible I would have not given it any stars but that's not an option

Its 9:50 a.m. and for some reason they're not open. The manager was even there, just apparently not doing her job.Their phone, the family Dollar website, and Google all say they're supposed to be open at 8:00 a.m.

So the manager in there called Heather let my wife piss her self all over the place because Heather THE MANAGER said no you cant use the restroomsWho earth would let someone piss themselfs like i dont understand why a manager would do this its absolutely absurd

This is a new Family Dollar. I would not go there after dark because the parking lot is dark. It is a nice place during the day hours.

Family Dollar it's a good store right up the street from me around the corner but I have another one that has just open on my same street so that's going to be even better that's convenient for real
