This store is nasty! Trash all over the place, stuff just thrown all of the shelves. The ceiling above the cash register was leaking ON my head while I was trying to check out. There was even a cigarette butt on the floor. They need to do some serious clean up!

I give them five stars just for customer service, after I witnessed the Cashier and Manager go the extra mile to satisfy one girl's need for a giant size Reese peanut butter dark chocolate bar. The store wasn't a real big mess. Things were not all over the floor but they have gotten some good sales with the looks of shelves so empty. It's the Dollar Tree, everybody loves to get good prices for things we cannot normally afford and get everyone something for Christmas even if it isn't much. You can find SOMETHING!

Just left there store after standing in line for 20 minutes because the cashier is to busy talking to people than doing Her job, they only had one registered open the other two were piled high full of products. Worst store ever, management should do a better job. Not even worth one star.

This is probably the most ghetto Dollar Tree I've been to in the entire KCMO/KCK area. I walked in around 8:42 and the employee was upset that we ended their smoke break early and tried to discourage us from entering ny saying they were closed. A customer challenged them and when we got inside, the employee told us they were closing in 8 minutes and ruses everyone one after us. Everything was disorganized and i didnt feel comfortable shopping knowing she was locking the doors with us inside to prevent anyone else from walking in at 845. Thought their goal was to make money?

the customer service here is nice with the cashiers however there is no assistance from floor folks.a great spot when your trying to buy cheap decorations for the seasonal change, or looking to save a buck or two on movie candy. the store is not as nice as their sister stores in the surrounding kansas city metro area. the clealiness is not up to par and there is no passion in their stocking methods.

I live in a high rise within 2 blocks of the Dollar Tree at 7650 State Ave. This store is the worst Dollar Tree store I that I have ever been into I use a walker to get around and 95% of the time I can not down down any isle without running over something that is on the floor, this store is the dirtiest around and there has been times when I went to go check out I had to wait and wait for someone to come to the register to check me out because they was at the back of the store. I really don't know why something can't be done about this store there needs something to be done. cause like I said a person using a walker or even a wheel is very difficult to go the isles.

It's always trashy and messy in here. Glad this is not the first dollar tree I have been in or I would never shop at one again. Never enough workers and so trashy. People need a clean shopping experience

This store on Monday was a total mess. Should have taken pictures. Junk everywhere.I’ve tried this store a few times hoping it had gotten better. But no. Upper management needs to step in. Had a relative work there but couldn’t stand constant mess. They talked to manager but they didn’t care.Why is this ok to run a store like this? I’m done even trying it one more time

I believe this is the worst maintained Dollar tree in the USA. The cashiers are fast, courteous, and efficient. The floors are filthy (even before the pandemic). Always. Whoever is the manager needs to address this. I've never been a Dollar tree this poorly maintained!

The Dollar Store at 78th and State is the worse. Junky, never cleaned up. In the store shortly after it opened and there is stuff all over the floor. They did get a new line of greeting cards, now from Hallmark4/23/22 This store is in much better shape than it was in my previous posting. Shelves were stocked and there was not stuff all over the floor.

The first time I came in this store I couldn't believe what I was seeing. It looked like it had been robbed. Half the shelves seemed empty and just everything thrown everywhere, ... like it had been robbed. Floors trashed. The second time I could tell something had been done to try to make it look better, the floors had been vacuumed. Most of the times I go in for something specific that I have gotten from other dollar trees and I leave empty handed more often than not because they don't have it here. But every time half empty , trashy display shelves. The check out people are friendly enough, if you actually find something to check out for. I am assuming it is lack of staff because last time I was in the was one line open and about 10 people in line and carts of unopened merchandise boxes in the back of the store. Although maybe their purchaser needs some help too .

This dollar tree SUCKS. The worst dollar tree . Doesn’t have ANYTHING and is very plain. Hardly ever stocked and the workers there don’t have manners. A huge tornado went through it! Dirty and needs to be deep cleaned.

i'm a HUGE fan when it comes to shopping at the Dollar Tree! however this store is NASTY it looks like it has not been cleaned in MONTHS! Very little to choose from either it's out of stock or it's in a box sitting on the floor. I'm not sure who the manager is or what they're are managing but the store needs to be CLEANED ASAP! and organized. The cashiers are friendly Which is why I gave the one star.

Did you know they don't do refunds? Did you know they won't give you credit on THEIR gift cards to use at a later date or at your leisure? Did you know that their manager Chris doesn't care about customer service? Well these are all the reasons this store is one of the worst in the metro area. Very unprofessional and childish. I'm a HUGE supporter of this company and have never had an issue or been so offended at the treatment I recieved. I truly hope you consider changing your policy on gift card credits and in the choice of management at this location. I strongly urge others to choose another location to do business with.

You get what you pay for people, everything is a dollar! I come here for nonfood essentials such as dish soap, toothpaste, aluminum foil, etc. The store is usually messy but I don't expect much. There is usually one or two open check outs so sometimes a line, but staff are friendly. The carts rent out for a quarter but carrying baskets are free to use. Happy shopping!

Wow, what a disaster. The owners should be ashamed that their store is in such shape. My husband and I were in the area, so we thought we'd see if that have anything different than our closest DT. We walked in and at first I said wow, this store has been picked over. Then walking further in, I started to wonder if they were going out of business. I've never seen such a trashy mess. Gum stuck all over the floor, product thrown all over the floor, trash everywhere, and boxes all over as nothing was stocked. There were also missing ceiling tiles, which may be the reason for the smell. What a safety hazard! My husband kept saying an email to headquarters needs to be written. I said should I be taking pictures? Although I didn't, I wished I had. He said he felt dirty after we walked out. I get things are a dollar, but it doesn't justify having a horrendous kept store. I won't go back.

Pretty decent. I was a little thrown off because the body wash and the shampoos were mixed up one second it says shampoo conditioner body wash but they was all mixed up so like can someone not read or understand what the difference is any who.

When I went here, there was trash and things cluttered ALL over the floor. Everything is way out of its place. I have never been to a more disturbing store in my life. I know I sound like a brat, but my mom even said after we left that she felt dirty and uncomfortable. The cashier was not even looking at us and kept talking to another person while checking out our stuff. There was also a weird smell in there. Idk how the employees can even STAND to work in a dirty environment like that. If I worked there I would clean it all myself if I had to. 👎🙄

Always dirty, never fully stocked, windows never clean, parking lot always full of trash and discarded item packaging ....rarely are cashiers wearing masks. This is one of the WORST dollar treea ive ever seen but its next to my bank so the location is prime. Management seems non existant amd ive watched staff ignore the fire marshal as he stood there with badge displayed and uniform and clip board. I know several dollar trees that have had fires and now I know why, there is no regard to safety or regulation.

Aweful place , today 7/19/2018 was my first time coming to this dollar tree . And today will be the last time , to visit this store . I wasn’t aware they change there hours , usually all dollar tree close between 9-10pm . But for some reason this store close at 7 , I’m not sure if the man at this store was the manager or a regular associate . But he was so rude and disrespectful , he announce on the intercom they where closing in 5 mins . Then once again he announce it in 2 mins , of course I and another 2 customer where getting our last minute belongings . But he was so impatient he literally started to kick us out !!! There’s was no need to be rude , and keep telling us the store was close . But one thing I know , you do not kick customers out because your in a rush. !!! Giving customer extra 5 mins would hurt this associate !

Worst I've ever seen any store, the place is a complete wreck! Half of the shelves were empty and the other half of the merchandise just thrown everywhere. This place looks like it just got robbed or something 😵 it's pretty unbelievable a store can be this much of a mess and still actually be open 🙀

I'd give this place 0 stars if I could. Place is a fire hazard and law suit waiting to happen. Walked in yesterday and the aisles were jam packed with boxes needing to be stocked. Couldn't walk, let alone get a cart through there. On one shelf someone left a dust pan, with broken glass in it, just sitting there. Place is always a mess, never has any stock and the employees don't care. When I walked in there was an employee filling up balloons. Not cleaning up the place, not unpacking boxes, not throwing away the broken glass- nope she was filling up balloons that didn't need to be filled. Save yourself a serious accident and drive ten minutes more to the Bonner Springs or Shawnee Mission Dollar Tree.

Fairly well stocked, however they were receiving a truck. Had the items I was looking for. Speedy checkout. Everything is $1. Friendly staff. I bit cluttered, but nothing horrible.

A little messy but very friendly people. You can tell the community doesn't really want to take care of this store and keep the good deals going. Overworked staff trying to clean up after grown folk and still keep a possitive attitude is awesome.

One cashier, Line was all the way down one isle. I asked the cashier to speak to the manager, she called for him, he came and opened up a second line, so I didn't have to say what I was going to say. I would give the store five stars if it wasn't for that I love Dollar tree.

I called last night to see if tthe had any fairy wings for my daughters Halloween costume. A lady named Tiff was extremely helpful and said she pulled all colors back for me so I could come take a look during my lunch break today. Well done!

This location is awful. The carpets are filthy and the whole store smells musty and damp. The shelves are always blocked by stacks of empty boxes making it impossible to navigate. Definitely worth the drive to another location.
