We've been coming to Cottinwood for years. Dr. Carson and Elizabeth are such kind and caring people. Dr. Carson always takes his time to do a very thorough exam. He then explains exactly what is going on and goes as far as pulling up pictures to make sure you completely understand what's going on with your fur baby. Dr. Carson is the most knowledgeable vet I've ever met. Hands down the best in Kansas! I recommend Dr. Carson and Cottonwood to everyone!

To say I'm less then pleased is being very generous. My Vet in the past is not available for a while with health reasons. Towards the end of last year, I recently added a new pup to the family and had to look around for a new Vet. Came across Cottonwood Animal Clinic. I filled out all the questions online so things would go smoothly once we picked up our pup from Texas. Called to schedule the shots and were told they are scheduling over two weeks out. Then had to give all the information again to the receptionist. (Why did I fill this out online?) I was called sooner and was able to get in. During my visit, I explained why we were new patients to Dr. Carson. He and his assistant were extremely nice and knowledgeable. I voiced my concerns that it was very hard to get an appointment on short notice and that for now on I am more prepared for routine visits but if one of my animals gets sick, we can't wait two weeks to be seen. He explained that they are getting busy and full, but he would never turn down a sick animal. This gave me comfort.Which brings me too now. Found out that my Bengal cat is not eating or drinking, starting a couple days ago. Now not really moving around. Called Cottonwood at 10:15am to see if I could get her in sometime within the next 48 hours. I was told they were full for the day, but they would call me if there was a cancelation. I needed to call again tomorrow at 8am to see if they could fit her in. "Can't I schedule something for tomorrow?" No, two weeks out for appointments. "So, I can't make an appointment for tomorrow, but I can call at 8am tomorrow and pray something is available? And if not, just keep repeating this process until the cat dies?" I'm sorry we are just full.Just WOW!! Needless to say, I wasn't waiting around and found a nearby Vet that would see her. I will not be returning to Cottonwood! And it's sad because I did like Dr. Carson, but it is pointless to have a Veterinary facility if they can't see a sick animal for days or even weeks. You need to post on your website that you are just a routine visit facility.I see reviews that others got their sick animals in at a last-minute notice but not sure how. All I was asking is if we could get her in today or tomorrow.When you have a $3,000-$5,000 dollar pup and a $2,000 dollar cat you kinda need a vet that will see them within 48 to 72 hours when they are sick. I'm just mind blown.Or is this just the world we live in now?

We had a dog dumped near our farm headquarter's. Young male with severe malnutrition. Our employee's felt like we should make him a happy farm dog. So, we learned that Cottonwood Animal Clinic had a program to help us on Saturday's. The experiance was great!! We are thankful to have this program. He is one very healthy, happy, houch. He love's being a farm dog!!! Here is a Pic of him when he showed up at the farm. He is not skinny now and his fur looks much better

Definitely a great place for end of life care. Especially when you take them in in an emergency because of a blockage and they wait 2 more days. We came out the 2nd day to visit and he was a little weak but definitely himself. I asked if the anesthesia would be okay because he was only 5 pounds and pretty weak. He had just unexpectedly lost his sister a week before and was terribly sad and grieving... Carson ASSURED me it would be fine not to worry.... I wanted to run off with my dog because I knew he was gonna die.... About 20 minutes after I get a call from him saying the administered the anesthesia and he died.... Coughed up brown stuff and just died.... Then put him in a freezer for 8 days because they forgot until we called about him... Just got the 800 dollar euthanasia bill..... Even after we were told we wouldn't have to pay anything because they didn't really do anything .. some antibiotics and IV fluids. (Which he was drinking anyway)... Also the hateful "girls" and snotty old lady talking loudly about how much they love Jesus while glaring and laughing at me and my husband while I was holding my sick dog waiting.... For 5 hours..... Never going back.... Sick people who want to euthanize your pets and make money off it....

I have always taken my pets to cottonwood! They take good care of my animals and take the time to explain things to me. I love their new facility! It is very roomy and comfortable! They are the best!

I can’t thank cottonwood enough. My poor pup had a fever and was super lethargic and sick. Wouldn’t eat or drink. I didn’t have a vet I was established with yet. I called in a panic. They seen her and got her taken care of. The vet stated her honest opinion and explained what she thought was going on. They were very nice, fast, and inexpensive. We were not established yet and our visit was only $70 including her shot and 2 other prescriptions. My baby is feeling much better and I can’t thank them enough.

We happened to come to Cottonwood in an emergency when our vet was on vacation. They were so amazing with our Lily, all the way to the end. We have taken all our pets since and won't ever leave! Dr. Carson even remembers us and our pets when he sees us outside the vet. That is a man who truly cares.

They always love and care for all my kitties that I care for and today was no different for my Charlie. I got Charlie from my dad to care for when he had to go to the nursing home 6 yrs ago. Sadly I'd noticed him losing weight and not getting around very well with a high fever. I was able to get him in and Dr Kacee knew right away it was cancer (lymphoma). They were there for me loving and compassionate with even a few laughs as I set and loved him until he was gone. As they always are with my kitties they were AMAZING!! THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart Dr Kacee and Elizabeth!!!

The ladies I spoke with were kind, understanding, and answered every question I had. Putting a dog down is always heartbreaking, but they did everything they could to make it easier on us, and more importantly they made it comfortable smooth, and painless for my dog. They're my vet from now on.

Steve Abrams, was/is a great Vet and his son Carson is as well, we are really happy and grateful that he followed in his father's foot steps and continued the family business. Saved the life of our dog after he was attacked by two dogs. We didn't know if it was even going to be possible to get our dog to the office before he passed, but somehow, he was saved. Amazing job done by everyone that works here! They are always professional, kind and reasonably priced too!

I've yet to go and I doubt I will, however my friend has gone a few times with simple things needing done and has come back saying their animal was going to probably need to be put down. These were due to mix ups with other animals. This is not an uncommon occurrence and I don't understand why it happens as often as it does. I understand mistakes happen but this is outrageous.

My family and I are especially thankful for Cottonwood Animal Clinic! We lost our Athena this past Friday 😭. She was a member of our family and was taken way to soon! I struggle writing this because there are just no words to describe the hurt my family is going through. Cottonwood Animal Clinic made the loss of our girl less difficult by being sympathetic, compassionate, patient, and kind! We were completely heartbroken when we found out that she wasn't going to make it. All the staff at Cottonwood were consoling and went above and beyond. With my experience here at cottonwood over the last few years have been nothing but positive and supportive. The staff are always very caring with my pets, they’re honest and look for the absolute best interest in my pets. They called and checked in with my cat after he had a long stay with Cottonwood 3 months after his visit. It might’ve not been a big deal to others, but to me, that really shows how much they care.

Really nice people, and they always have a smile on their face. The vet is amazing with answering questions and explaining things in detail. They have decently fast service. Prices are great compared to other places I've gone to also.
