Poor/rude service, food is cold or luke warm if your lucky, pretzel always over cooked, food is carelessly sloppy and lacking, after reading the order back and being rushed to stop talking they still messed it up and had to send it back to have remade leaving the rest of my order to get even colder while we waited and no compensation happened for this issue...and when i brought it up the gal said well it took 15 min to take your order and its just the 2 of us here right now and your order was the biggest order we've had all night. (So its ok to mess up our order and give poor quality food and service because we had a large $51 order and took 15 min to make the order). They always mess up the orders but as its a small area Theres not that many options for food so we are stuck with poor quality food that made us all sick to the stomach and poor quality service with no compensation for them messing up the order even after i tried to repeat it back and the guy just kept rushing me saying is there anything else after i said each thing in my ordered so i could make sure that they had it all correct. There's no excuse to mess up am order if i repeated it back!!!!! We go there and as the biggest order paying that much you would expect that they would want to make sure we come back and would put a bit more effort in to making sure there's quality there...to top it off when i went back the next afternoon to speak with the manager about this service it was the same guy that took my order the night before and he justified it by saying I'm sorry would you like me to remake the tots for you i was really busy and the cook served the other order behind you because it wasn't as much as mine was and the other order was just drinks the cook probably already had food down. So basically my concerns were not going to be addressed!!!

We were camping at Marion lake this weekend and wanted a treat to beat the heat. We had a large order with 12 drinks/blasts and a couple of food items. Saturday crew 7.29.2023, outstanding job! It looked like they made our food and treats for themselves or their family! Everyone received just what they ordered and with plenty of toppings. It really looked like the cared about our order and experience. Thank you!!!

Pretty awful experience with the new patty melt and staff. As shown in picture the texas toast was saturated in butter with no "toasting" observable. I tried 2 bites but the butter was over powering and not edible. I asked a car hop if that is how it's supposed to be and she admitted it was not made correctly and she would "tell them inside". The manager never came out. Burger was remade correctly. Just paid $4 to donate to Sonic's trash can. Thanks guys.

We were trying to make an order in their app, but it kept saying something went wrong and wouldn't go through. So when we drove over there to see what was wrong and maybe just make the order through one of the stalls, the first four or five that we pulled into were not working. When we finally found a working stall I pushed the button, and we waited quite a while for anyone to answer, which is normal for this place. When she finally answered I simply ask if the app was working or not, to which she snapped back very rudely "THE APP IS WORKING". So we told her what was going on she calmed down a bit and said that the reason it was saying something went wrong was because they were out of some ingredients, so we would have to get something else. When we made some changes and the order went through we tried to check in on the app and got an error that the stall we were in wasn't available. A place with prices as high as Sonic should be able to maintain their equipment and hire people who know what customer service is. I DON'T recommend this place, and won't be back.

Waited at drive thru for several minutes when no one was there it was empty then it took 10minutes to get the door done taken and when we got our food after sitting there waiting on it for 20 more minutes the fries were soggy with grease and chicken strips weren't cooked all way and cheese sticks were soggy as can be. Not pleased with service when it was completely dead there.

Had breakfast burrito. More sausage please! Was more egg than anything else. We had lunch there the day before and that was great. French fries where good and hot so where the corn dogs! Was pleasantly surprised!

Sonic is the worst place to eat! All the food is synthetically processed with artificial ingredients, and it gives me so much dizziness and stress. You guys suck!

This place needs help in a bad way, slow, food was extremely cold and you could tell it had been sitting for awhile before being delivered, they can not stick to their posted hours, it would have been worth driving to Newton or McPherson vs here. Nothing seems to change when you make a compliant to the number they direct you to call.I don't understand how this location can never get their I've cream machine fixed, 5 out of the last 5 times we've tried going to get a blast, " the ice cream machine is down" really pathetic. I hope another competitor comes in and causes them to close their doors. Doesn't seem like corporate really gives a hoot either considering all the complaints. This franchise owner needs their franchise pulled.

We ordered 6 Jr sausage burritos, 2 very small pieces of sausage in each one? Called to let them know, and was informed that that's the way the mix comes out sometimes? This time only they offered me 3 of the same mix, Where's THE SAUSAGE??? Rip off. Very sad. SONIC in Hillsboro KS. 10-03-22

Took forever to get my order, waited almost 20 minutes. And I had even ordered ahead in the app. Burger was barely lukewarm when it arrived. And they had run out of straws, so I couldn't drink my limeade until I got home, in fear of spilling the flimsy open styrofoam cup all over me. Not s great experience.

Service sucks. Said order was on its way. Waited 10 minutes and no one showed. Cars pulled in after my order was suppose to be on its way and they got their food a few minutes after ordering. Will never stop here again. One star is more than they deserve.

Ordered a burger no lettuce no mayo. Came with lettuce and mayo. They can screw up the simplest thing, so you are warned to stay away... This isn't the first time they have screwed up .... But for me it's the last! They need to clean house and get new management before I would even think of going back!! Their sign says you need prayers, Jesus and Sonic.... You need the first 2. For sure.. But you absolutely don't need sonic!!

If I could give negative stars, I definitely would!! Worse experience ever!! My family and I got told we couldn't sit and enjoy our lunch outside and we were the only ones there!! They gladly took our order and money but failed to let us know at the time of our order, that the outside tables are closed. So when they came out with our food, the waitress said we couldn't eat at the table that is outside and we were the only family outside. I will never spend my money at the Hillsboro Sonic ever!!

We paid $45 for five meals. Three meals with burgers were burnt, but lukewarm like they'd been under a lamp or in a warmer. Four meals came with cold fries like they'd been sitting for a long while. And they were out of Lemonade. But the popcorn chicken & tots were good. One meal out of five (20%) is pretty poor, so I'm giving one out of five stars.

Took my daughter for a sour patch kids slush float and when we got the drink it was made wrong. We went there a different time during softball season and sat the for 20 minutes and just left because nobody answered the red button! If it was just me I'd never go back. But my kids still ask to go, but I'm not so sure after this.

The server was friendly and told me her name, gave correct change. The tator tots were hot and fresh. The cheese burger however fixed as ordered was not hot...more like barely cooked and warm. But the cheese was melty. Drink had too much ice (something Sonic does to not give you much pop). The value was ok and for the price of the combo. Lack of quality since last visit. Not sure if I will return. But this place is better than the wendy's in town...they serve bleeding burgers.

Too slow. Not enough help or something. Waited 20 minutes for then to answer the intercom. Was told it would be another 20 minutes before they could get our ice cream. We left. If they're busy, don't stop.

Definitely nothing special. You might notice a few parking stalls out of service, some of the building material peeling off, and a long wait. But that's really not different from most other sonic restaurants in the area.

This Sonic has really stepped up its game! I went there today during a full lunch rush, they had my food hot, fresh and ready in no time. The gal who brought it out also had an amazing attitude! Thank you.

Ordered a #1 today, at about 3:40pm. revived the correct items however the Burger patty was ice cold. Tots where cold. drink was correct but wrong size.

Typical sonic. Does have an outdoor play area and volleyball area. Volleyball is a grass instead of sand pit. I have had issues with long waits in the couple of times I've been there, even just for drinks. It's a nice stop if you're needing to get the kids out of the car from traveling all day

Not only was this place terrible slow. We had to push the button twice! The breakfast burritos were sloppily assembled and were not warm not were the tator tots. I was utterly disappointed with my Sonic experience. Especially when they advertise 2 minute serve.

I ordered a route 44 sweet tea with light ice and the cup was 3/4 full of Ice and I finished the drink with 3 sips. What a rip off. 10/10 would recommend Wendy’s.

The Foot Long Chili Cheese Cony wasn't like it used to be. There wasn't very much chili or cheese on it and no onions at all. Everyone else's food was fine though.

The service was good and way fast for Sonic, but my burger was cold. This is now the second Sonic location in a different state to service me a cold burger. Drinks and sides are usually great, but a cold burger is not good.
