Being right off the highway to Colorado this walmart is a hotspot for trafficking, iv been followed by strangers before and I know otheds have as well. Make sure you go with someone, stay vigilent and keep anything that could protect yourself with at the ready.

I debated leaving this review or not but do want to share my rather negative experience. I've been to this Walmart a number of times and have never had any issues but my last visit was not a good experience.I went to Walmart to get an ankle brace and went through self-checkout. I was attempting to pay through the Walmart App and even confirmed with the worker that they do not take Apple Pay but do take the Walmart Pay option through the app (which I've used multiple times before). For some reason, the payment wasn't working so I asked the worker if I could try a different terminal. She was extremely rude and condescending, having me reattempt the payment and saying I was doing it wrong. Once she saw payment failed on the screen, she pretty much said there's nothing she can do even though I had ask to attempt on another terminal.I then ordered the item for pickup while I was still in the store, 1) to make sure my card on file was in-fact working and 2) so I could get my items. The pick-up order time was for 3 hours later so I went to the customer service area to see if I could just pick-up the items now since I was here. The lady at the desk was super nice and apologetic and said they couldn't do that -- which I understood isn't her fault, just store policy. So I cancelled the pick-up order and attempted again to get the item and go through a regular checkout (instead of self-checkout so I didn't have to deal with the rude lady again).The regular checkout lady was not as rude as the first but the Walmart pay app again didn't work. I then deleted and readded the card and asked to try the payment again. The QR code on the card reader wasn't coming up but the worker wouldn't cancel the transaction and restart it. Only after a supervisor/manager came over did we cancel the transaction, restart it, and then the payment worked. The worker definitely made it seem like it was an inconvenience and the general feeling I got towards me was "you just don't have money on your card, it's declined, stop wasting my time" until lo-and-behold it worked....The app not working and not being able to pick-up my order in a timely manner were not the workers' fault but it's just the rudeness I faced that was extremely frustrating.It is interesting because I've only ever stopped by this store in the past when I was in Army uniform and have always been treated with respect and good customer service. Today I went to Walmart in pants and a polo and my tattoos were showing. I am also Asian and clearly not from this area. It makes me wonder if I would have been treated differently if I was in uniform....

It's easy to get in and out of plenty of parking meet clean well stocked. The lines went too long. They had the items I was looking for.And if you're wanting some Kansas gear they have plenty

We had the best experience we’ve ever had at Walmart today. It was all because of Marlena’s helpful and kind attitude. She went above and beyond for us, and that was never our experience before at Walmart. She made sure we were taken care of even if it was out of her way. You have a valued Employee and she should not be taken for granted.

I have had nothing but trouble at this store. They don’t honor their wrong pricing. One of the managers lied about me being able to return a product. When I got there he said he would not do the exchange. I called to complain and they just kept hanging up on me.

It is so sad that you ask for help and the employees looks like you are disturbing their talking to other employees, then you go and they trust you to do their job by checking and bagging you stuff up, and then the machine wants you to rate them and when you get to the door they don't trust you any longer as they want to see if you done their job right, you look and most of the time you guys don't have but four or five cashier's. But I please with your guys always been stock with whatever I need thanks for that and God bless America

Beware when the registers decline your purchase and tell you to use another form of payment! They will charge you twice and then refuse to do anything to refund your money! Can’t get any help from the so called people at the front when you have an issue with the register! They just stand there and stare at you or just continue talking amongst themselves! And don’t even bother asking for help finding something! This store has gotten ridiculous! Quick to take your money, but then when they screw up they refuse to refund your money!

The ladies in eyeglass dept were very helpful and fixed my glasses that had a broken wire. I was on vacation and so glad they were able to help.

I do love Walmart, except I HATE BEING FORCED TO USE THEIR SELF CHECK OUT!!! IF I HAVE A FEW THINGS, IT'S OK, BUT WHEN I HAVE A LOT OF STUFF, I NEED HELP. I'M DISABLED AND BY THE TIME I GET TO CHECK OUT, I'M EXHAUSTED IN A WAY THAT IS BEYOND WHAT IS NORMAL. There is no isle for handicap individuals to help us out.

You know why you can't get help because they to busy following people around ..you don't get paid to follow and discriminate customers by following people around then act tough when called out about it ..skinny twig redhead dike needs to go stock selves and stop following people around ..didn't know your allowed to wear non Walmart beanies on head that's against employee policy ..this store needs to be took back over by better representatives occured between 1030pm to 11pm jan 2 2024..this is private property the little skinny boy or woman more like a confused person cant decide to be a boy or girl . For sure you wasn't told to discriminate against customers

This is a very large and clean store. I was able to find everything I needed and the clerk at the self check-out was quick to correct a scanning error I made.

Ok walmart. Just wish prices were not so high. Clean store very busy this day which was friday november 10th. Hard to get help but otherwise ok. Also glad to see more check out lanes open because I totally dislike self checkouts.

Get all your shopping done in one place in this retail giant shopping center. The only thing i dont understand why walmart is doing is putting in self checkout registers? That eliminates jobs which hard working people deserve to have those jobs? Just trying to make a point is all, have a great day people!!

John, the service manager in the Auto Care Center, is my hero! I was driving from Missouri to Colorado through all the thunderstorms and tornado warnings and stopped for lunch in Hays. My car wouldn't start after so I walked to the Walmart and met John. He walked all the way back to my car with me to check my battery and get my car started. I needed a whole new battery and did not have time to spare with the impending storms. He sacrificed his lunch break to make sure I could get back on the road quickly and make it home safe. I cannot thank him enough and this man deserves a RAISE!!!! He is the light in humanity and the hero I needed that day! Thank you John!!

Absolute worse experience ever. One of my close friends is on the autism spectrum, and her hyper fixation has always been gardening things. We stopped by the gardening section to entertain her, and she was ecstatic. She doesn’t always understand social cues, and she grabbed a brown bucket off of a shelf. She couldn’t find us, and panicked, setting it down away from where she grabbed it. An employee in one of those scooter things then lectured her to put it away, and as we walked away very loudly talked about how disrespectful she was and that “kids these days treat it (Walmart) like a playground.” She was scared because she couldn’t find it her friends and has severe anxiety. Walmart, do better. We will not be returning anytime soon.

Always use pickup as it is fast friendly and keeps me forming having to go in always a plus..as I said I went in for a return today it was a horrible experience all the way across much prefer pickup

I am VERY upset with the curbside pick up ORDERING. Walmart changed my "My Items" list. Walmart added items to my list that I have NEVER ORDERED and will never order. My life is busy enough without having to look through EXTRA items that I DONT WANT ON MY LIST!!!

Walmart is my go to shopping place. Their employees are friendly and they have almost everything we need. I have 2 complaints. There are items that never seem to be in Stock. Parents Choice formula and the big packs of Austin peanut butter crackers, for example. My wife and I joke that when we start buying something, everyone else starts buying it too so we can never get the same thing twice. The second is that there are never enough cashiers. We usually have about 500 dollars worth of groceries every two weeks, and that's way too much for self checkout. Having someone to check so while we put everything back in the carts is a HUGE help. I don't even mind waiting 10 minutes. But 1 open register with 5 people with a large number of items is just wrong.

This was a fantastic Walmart. Parked as far as possible away from the store. Went in to buy some food items and slept in my RV. It was super quiet and pleasant.

There's alot of times when we check out in the self check out we have to have the workers come and reset so we can continue. Sometimes there's some idea on there before we even get started!! Like today there was 499.00 still not cleared off thank goodness we noticed it and got a worker to take it off!!!

I have Walmart five-star the only part of Walmart I do not have a five star two is the elderly lady in the return exchange area. She’s always hateful, rude and non-helpful. Of course I’ve only tried to return something four times and it has not been a good experience either time horse that is the Walmart at 81st and Lewis in Tulsa Oklahoma.

I wish they would set up all the stores the same but they don't. I know they think you'll buy more if you have to wander around but that's not necessarily true. I got tired of looking for several items and gave up. There was so much setting piled up that needed to be put on the shelves, that it made it extremely difficult to maneuver around it all. I wish I would have taken pictures.
