I took my dog to Petsense for the first time to have her nails trimmed and I believe it will be the last time. The grooming facility seemed dirty and there were a lot of dogs whining to get out of there. The staff kept calling my dog by the wrong name and when I came to grab her she was under the door trying to escape. When we got up to the register, the guy working didn’t have very good customer service and was low key terrible. Then when I paid for her nail trim, it was $20!?!? They didn’t file her nails at all they just clipped them, I know I watched them the whole time. I am just going to trust my vets office to do it from now on. Lesson learned.

Purchased this little guy from Petsence when he was only a couple months old... I've been coming back since purchasing crickets every week! Staff is very friendly and very knowledgeable! They have even been there over the phone for me when I had questions! Also went above and beyond trying to help me upgrade Mclovins cage a year after getting him!

I'm not trying to argue but ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? How dare this store even be open? it's dirty almost all the fish tanks had ick. and they don't have a very good selection of fish stuff. the staff was nice after I approved her but she didn't look like she even wanted to be there. I don't blame her. this is a pretty store I'll never return to. sad really.

Great little but actually kind of big pet store. Needed to get some stuff for my dogs on my way home to KC from Colorado Springs and I saw this on Google Maps. Easy to get to from the Interstate, got everything I needed! Comparable to a Petco or Pet Smart but with a more personal, small town non-box store kind of feel to it.

Terrible. I paid for a full groom and nail trim. Both dogs came back with only a few nails clipped and the hair under paws was not clipped. But I was definitely charged for it. My golden retriever looked like he gave himself a haircut. I understand dogs can be a handful, but that’s what they are paid to deal with. I do not believe these groomers have ever had any training or even seen a dog before. I’ve cut my dogs nails so I know it can be done. It was $100 for both dogs and it looks like a $3 haircut from Helen Keller.

Don't buy fish from here. They are all sick and will make the rest of your tanks sick. I've had 6 out of 10 fish die from here and I've only been able to get my money back on two because they kept my original receipt after I brought in the bodies, even though I still had 4 days left on the rest of the fish I bought.

Love bringing my dog here to get an l trim and groom the only problem is is that the groomer if it's busy there is no telling if she's in or not or if there's even time and a lot of the time I sit there and wait for at least 30 minutes to an hour have any place to sit down or anything like that even though there's space there for a bench

The staff are friendly and the prices are fair however I went in yesterday and bought a betta while there I noticed the ferret's enclosure was disgusting, the litter box was full and did not look like it had been cleaned in awhile. I went in again today to get a few more plants for my betta and again the ferret enclosure was disgusting worse then yesterday. The litter box still had not been cleaned there was still multiple days of build up, food did not look fresh and overall the ferret just didn't seem happy. Ive always had good experiences and recommended pet sense to friends so I'm very disappointed.

I have bought fish and reptile supplies here since they opened. I am so thankful we have this store! I was incredibly excited when I found out they will be carrying more reptiles as well as live fish! I haven't seen new reptiles in there yet, but since it is winter I bet it is hard to get them in. I did already buy some fish, giant danios, they are doing great! I hope because of the live fish and more variety of reptiles they'll have available now, that they'll be able to expand their supply of fish and reptile food/equipment out of demand.

Take our husky there every spring to get his winter coat de-shed. They do a good job and this last time the lady that groomed max I feel went over n beyond expectations. Was very thorough and caring. Very pleased and will continue to shop n have pets groomed there.

A great size store for your pet needs. Always clean inside and the staff friendly and helpful. Supplies for the standard affair: dog, cat, fish, reptile, amphibian. I'm not sure about some of the more exotic creatures. Prices are reasonable and store hours are accommodating.

Great selection, needing help the associate asked me if she could help me before I could ask, which to me is great customer service. She not only showed me where the item was she took care of me throughout the store. Loved the experience.

I am extremely unhappy with the work the groomers did on my border collie. We took her in to be bathed, brushed, and slightly trimmed. They cut her hair extremely short in the dead of winter. She is an outdoor dog. How on earth do they expect her to stay warm with so little hair? Plus they charged me $67 for a horrible job!

I wish I would have paid a little attention to the name of the employee who waited on me! My focus was partially in the car with the pitbull I'm transferring, so I hope she will accept my apologies for being distracted. She was wonderful! The store had exactly the items I needed, and she helped me find them quickly and cheerfully. She almost made me snort-laugh over a joke involving Fiona and the snake from Shrek, which levity I desperately needed today.

It is so nice to finally have a store in town that caters to animals and I can take both my pups in to check out all the stuff. We purchased vitamins for our pug at a great price that actually work and couldn't be more excited about that! We've purchased vitamins for him before and haven't seen results. I love how they keep track of the dog food I buy and I will earn a free bag after so many purchases. The staff is friendly which is a rarity in retail anymore, especially in this area. Thank you so much for being rockstars, my family and I look forward to shopping with you on a regular basis!

Excellent grooming! My groomer is Regina. I have 2 toy poodles and she did an excellent groom! I highly recommend her. I do not put out recommends as a rule but I was so pleased (and so we're my poodles), I just had to acknowledge her. You will not be dissatisfied with her dog grooming abilities and the relationship she builds with each dog! Teri C.

It's so nice to have a decent pet store in town finally. great prices wonderful people and sometimes there are shelter kitties you can ask to play with even if you're not going to adopt. they have more than just cat and dog items as well although I would be lying if I said it wasn't a majority of what they carry. but you can find alternative pet items such as cutter cages and water bottles or beta fish even bird items

Courtney is an amazing groomer for our little shih tzu, Darby! He is pretty hyper and she is just wonderful with him! I love Petsense! She always can fit him in after having a full schedule herself. I recommend going there to everyone!❤

An excellent, huge selection of pet supplies! I walked in and was able to grab exactly what I needed. My kitties love their new harnesses! They are much more comfortable than collars.

It's an amazing store it has a decent amount of supplies and I can't wait till they get more stuff in they have really kind staff they are very helpful and if one of the staff can't help they get another staff keep up the good work me and my mom love fish and we're thinking about buying one from there.

Unprofessional serviceWhen arriving, we showed pictures of the classic haircut of this long haired breed and showed the specific places of the body of our dog were the hair was entangled, the person seemed confident speaking about this breed. After 2 hours and $60+ We received our English Cocker Spaniel with inconsistent lines around the head and ears. INSTEAD OF UNENTANGLES THEY TRIMMED the shown spots.0 stars.

This pet shop is pretty decent just wish that they sold more cages for rodents and actually sold rat food it is so hard to find food for rats and all you get is they pretty much eat anything but certain diets for rats are not good but overall the staff and the Hays location are very young but polite and when asked they have a pretty respectful response me and my family use this particular one for certain needs for our pets

PetSense has a lot of leashes and collars and kennels, more variety than walmart. We came here to get worms and crickets for our leopard gecko. They don't have giant worms but thats ok. They have small crickets and big crickets.

This place is over priced on everthing. There reptile and fish selection is comparable of Walmart. Hays shouldn't of wasted there time with this place. They should have brought in a petco. I wouldn't waste my time or money on this store.

Went in to purchase a dog bed it was advertised as 36.99 get to the counter and get chargred 60 dollars they then proceed to tell me it doesn't go into effect until tomorrow. What I don't understand is why it is advertised yet if they don't honor it.
