I want to give a shout out to Girard Animal Hospital, I couldn’t get in to my regular vet due to surgeries with my momma goat and twins. She would have died test along with her babies being 4 days old. She had a really bad infection after giving birth that was missed with Dana and I just did to bring so busy. Anyway they went above and beyond for my mother goat who would have died if they weren’t so quick on their feet. She’s still being watched, but the babies weren’t being fed after mommas infection set in. They are named Sarah snd Annie. Momma nanny is still under care but seems to be getting better, and was happy to be reunited with her young ones after thd day went by ti keg her rest. I tell you I was so impressed with Mr. Orland ghd vet and his assistant. After about sn hour and half work, they gif thd baby’s fed and cleaned the infection out of momma, she was feeling better. Even the bill was surprisingly low. I thought it would be at least $300.00. It was barely over $100.00. Than to top it off Mr. Orland called tk check on her today. Remarkable customer service.

I called on a Saturday morning around 10 am in a panic because my dog was struggling to breathe, the gentleman that answered the phone was so polite and caring, told me to bring her right in. I knew something serious was wrong but I was not prepared to have to put my dog down, the compassion that was shown not only to my sweet girl but to me was so heartfelt. This was my first time using this vet and everything happened so fast that I don't remember the vets name, but she was the sweetest, most caring woman. She listened to my concerns and explained everything to me. She was so gentle with my girl, and made sure she was comfortable until her last breathe. Her compassion didn't stop there, I was obviously an emotional wreck, she was crying with me and reassured me I had made the right choice for Bella. She made sure I was okay to drive, as I had went alone and she made sure that there would be family that I could go to once I left. She gave me the sweetest hug and assured me they would take good care of my girl until I could bring her ashes home. She was a true angel for me. When the time comes and I'm ready for another dog, without a doubt I will be taking my business here.

I feel that putting my animal down the staff could be more of telling the owner every step most of all, explaining why they had to give more med. To put her down and why nurse or doctor had to use another leg because she busted the vein in her first go around on my animal.

Not satisfied at all..... The vet came very highly recommended called because. I'm very worried about my dog's health from possible abuse when left in the care of a friend. I was told to find a vet in pittsburg..... Thanks

I have always gotten wonderful care there for my animals. I started with Dr. Laura Morland and Dr. Bill when they first came to Girard and they have been my vets every since. Love the other vets that are there also. I give them 5 stars!!

The animal care is ok. But the office staff is rude. It's a small office and they talk loud enough every one know your personal finances and they let you know about your mistakes but they don't own up to theirs

My dog had a stroke and it really took a toll on him at first but within 2 hours after the vet gave him a couple shots and some heart meds he was back to running around the yard barking at the neighbor dogs.

I wouldn't go any where else for my pets care. The folks at Girard Animal Hospital have been taking care of my babies for over 20 years.Once again Dr. Laura was an angel. Had to take my beautiful Paris to be put to sleep. Paris was 17 years old, and was able to get around any more, she couldn't breathe and had several tumors. Dr. Laura was so gentle and caring, she came out to the car. It was so peaceful and easy on Paris and me, rest in peace my beautiful girl.

It's the best vet to take your pets to! I trust them more than any vet! I drive 30+ min to get to them but they are worth it! Bed side manners are great, they are great with all my fur babies!

They have always taken good care of my dogs. However, several times calling the ones who have answered phone and when I have went in person have not been so nice. If I didn't have to talk to cranky people definitely 5 star and affordable.

As always, fantastic service. I continue to use this clinic after more than 10 years because of the genuine care and concern these vets take with my pets, not to mention the patience they have with me explaining everything to me. But today I was impressed with the clerk staff. I was just in for flea meds, he asked all the perfect and efficient questions to get me what i needed and even remembered who I was from previous visits and new what kinds of meds my cat would currently need. Wow! I couldn't recommend this clinic more!

Called to see if an appointment was needed and whoever answered the phone was more worried about where my address was than actually answering my question. Had a bad attitude and basically told me I should go somewhere else. I’ve been there before but will not be returning.

I took my Guinea pig to them yesterday and they helped him. He has a broke leg and they set it and put a splint on it and he is happier than ever because he doesn’t hurt as badly. He’s going to heal amazingly. 10/10 would recommend coming here because the staff was nice, speedy, and generous

I've never been treated so terrible by a vet. Katie ruin's this whole place by her working there! Told me I had to go home and hand milk my dog many times a day for 7 days!!!!!! Took my baby to Oswego vet to find out Katie had no clue what was wrong and Oswego vet took care of the problem in one visit. Didn't even need to bottle feed the pups... Nor hand milk the momma!!! SO I RECOMMEND ANY OTHER VET, OR REFUSE ANY AND ALL SERVICES FROM KATIE!!!!! Updated 5/4/23

Dr more land is the better if the 2 vets. She believes in provide medication after surgery because animals hurt like we do.The other vet don't.Their low costs are a giant blessing to help unwanted breeding. However, the place is very small and not handicapped accessible ot I would give them 5☆

I am broken hearted and angry that I recommended this clinic to my brother and sister in law. They took their beloved Champ a 9 year old lab to the clinic for euthanasia due to a cancer mass in his head.What should have been a peaceful quiet loving goodbye turned out to be a horrible experience. Definitely not peaceful. Definitely not quite. Definitely not loving from the staff.I feel awful that these are the last memories they experienced with Champ. There is no excuse for this.

Don’t get me wrong we’ve been going here for a long time and I get people make mistakes and that’s what vets are… people. My issue comes down too we took our dog there FOUR times for what they called a “UTI” finally Kristal did a little more cause you can tell she really cares just to find out it was a mass the size of our dogs stomach. Sadly our dog had to be put down. But that’s not the worse part we got a puppy later on when we thought it was time. He came to us healthy no issues he got fixed then a few days later ended up really sick with what we thought was parvo. We called and they told us to bring him in. They did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING thankfully i was able to get another vet to listen and took in our puppy. We told them our concern and they didn’t listen they gave him a few shots and medication after being told he couldn’t kept anything down. Parvo is fast and it is deadly. They missed not 1 diagnosis but 2 and honestly I don’t want to try for a third. I’m so thankful for Kristal and how kind she was to us. There was one vet though that was nothing but rude. It’s sad to watch the love of animals go from the people we’re supposed to trust with our animals. Honestly I hope they can figure it out. My puppy is fighting for dear life and because of them and them not listening we lost a critical 24 hours. They are a good bandaid place but when it comes to serious things you need to take them elsewhere.

They were able to see us right away, which was pretty awesome since we just moved to the area and our dogs haven’t been established with a vet yet. However, when we had got there, there was only one person in front of us. The receptionist said he’ll be right with us. We waited… and waited… and waited for over 30 mins until he realized he had “forgotten about us”. He apologized but, if Frida wasn’t sick and didn’t need to see the vet, we would have left. It was our first time so we’ll give it another shot. Hopefully the next time we go, it wouldn’t take over 45 minutes to wait and see the vet.

We've been taking our animals here for years. We absolutely love Laura, Kristal, and most the the crew. Because of our deadlines with Katie McClaskey we will be taking our fur babies elsewhere. She has ben awful, lacks empathy, professionslism, and has had a horrible attitude every time we've dealt with her. I've never been so disappointed.

I have taken my dogs there for years. Have usually dealt with Dr. Laura or Kristal. Well today we showed up and it was close to closing time. As soon as we walked in there was attitude from the girl working. We drove 50 minutes to get there because I had to work late. I called earlier in the week and talked to someone who was friendly. But this girl was definitely not. Almost an inconvenience for her to do her job. I've never had issues in the past with this clinic. And I would refer it to anyone looking. But today was not a good visit. Please. If you work there and are reading this, do better by your customers (Katie McClaskey). We only showed up to have help with our fur baby. (
