This is the most unkempt Dollar general I have ever been in. I'm sure part of that is due to the fact that anytime I have ever been in there there is only one person working. Numerous items are pulled off the shelf and on the floor, unpacked merchandise sitting in the isles, lower shelves are usually empty there are the items on a very top pie shelf that are unreachable and if you ask for help it usually upsets the employee. If you think Iola Dollar general is bad I definitely would not go into the Garnett store

I don't know where the pictures on the front came from but that's definitely not the dollar store in Garnett. It's usually very very crowded with stuff everywhere you can't get down any aisle and it looks like it's never been cleaned but the people that work there are very nice they're great

There was no trouble getting what I need! Pretty great store in my opinion. One of the workers named Jayden is such an awesome cashier. He always helps me when I have questions and he always has a positive attitude! I would love to have a bigger store tho.

This store has a fat better selection than other Dollar General stores in the surrounding area. The people are all polite and work hard to make you feel welcome. The only downside is that the store itself is tiny, making it overcrowded. Would be perfect if it were bigger.

Yes it’s a very small store, yes there is stuff like carts in the aisles but when I go in there I see employee’s always trying to put stuff up and I think it’s not their fault It’s corporates for over stalking them know it’s a small store and probably will never get expanded even tho that would help a lot. One of the managers Angela. I see her every time I come in and she looks more exhausted then the day before because she runs like crazy. they should stop overworking their employees and realize they’re the problem. Not their employees. sorry to say but with negative reviews they’ll never expand the store hope u guys know your just making it worse for them.

Great store ,friendly people, could definitely use a bigger building. Only thing I'd change is all the clutter at the registers and more registers open when the store is busy. Missing Trish is tough, she was so kind to her customers. Male cashier working there named Jayden is extremely rude and makes offensive comments. Most everything else is beyond their control due to the small compasity of the building.

I just had a horrible experience trying to get digital coupons and it was a nightmare! I'm the end no coupons and I paid full price for my items. The cashiers tried to be helpful but in the end I paid full price after an hour...Maybe it should be easier to sign up for digital coupons. I would suggest training all employees on how to help people sign up.

They really need a larger store here in Garnett with more variety. The people are great there but shopping in such a small store in a wheelchair makes it feel impossible. No room to turn around and definitely not enough room for a chair and a cart at the same time. Please help out the people and employees and build us a bigger store.

Such a filthy and overstocked store.. kind of amazed it hasn't been deemed a fire hazard. Obviously good prices but it really doesn't feel like the store has any sort of policy regarding stocking shelves or cleanliness..

Nice small town business. Has a lot more than you may expect for a DG! Friendly staff who have done well handling everything that's come to them during the pandemic. A little dirty, but its a farming amish community.

DietGood prices, friendly staff and great clearance deals. The only issues are the usual clutter and disorganization (pretty much unavoidable at a place like this where they're understaffed), and a lack of shelf space leaving their product selection severely limited. I always joke that they must hate diabetics, because they don't carry many options for diet soda.I'd give them an instant score boost if I could buy my Diet Sunkist here when I get my girlfriend's Coke Zero. Instead I have to go down the street to Country Mart for that. Is it really that much more profitable to sell Grape Sunkist when you have other grape soda options? I feel like they'd sell a lot more orange Diet Sunkist if they'd just stock it.

No masks required not ridiculous not the stores fault but they discontinued infants pain and fever and now they don't have any very irritating to the ones that are making it get your stuff together

This store is always super busy so finding a parking spot can be a problem. The store is very dishelved with ever aisle packed with merchandise that is waiting to be put out on display. Most of the clothes had fallen off of the hangers so they are dirty from people just walking on them. Lots of packages have either been tampered with or tore up. When going to the checkout be prepared to wait an eternity to check out. There are a few registers but usually only checker. Really I only go to this store when I absolutely have to as it's the only store in Garnett. I will drive 30 miles away to go to a store that runs as it should. The dollar General in Ottawa KS is always much preferred over the one in GARNETT.

This Dollar General is far too small of a store and needs cleaned. You can't walk through most of the aisles because of the overstock. The lines are ridiculous and the store is filthy. The employees and customers deserve a larger, cleaner building!

It's a smaller store and sometimes feels over crowded with stuff but they always have what we need and several items we would normally go to the grocery store for are cheaper here. Staff is always cool!

Staff is nice. Store is very cramped and there were stocking carts in aisles to where you could not walk down them to get what you needed. Only one checker so it took a while to get through the line.

Good location, well stocked, but cluttered at check out, seems they need a bigger building to serve the community. We were able to find what we were looking for and glad we stopped in.

Garnett dollar general is the best. I have been in a lot traveling. Most of the stores are just as cluttered but the staff is rude or acting like they are bored to death at other stores. In Garnett they go out of their way no matter how busy they are to find what you need or get what you need from the top shelves. They work their butts off with litle thanks when they could be acting like the employees at other dollar generals. Before you judge ask for a tour. They will be happy to show you why the aisles are so crowded and why they can only have one cashier most of the day. You got a choice. More clutter because they stand around all day checking you out and nothing on the shelve at all to buy because They are standing around checking you out. They are battling an uphill battle for you at low wages and fighting to get Garnett a new store for the town and customers they love.

I love Dollar General. While their prices can be higher on some grocery and housewares overall they're competitive to bigger chains. And I love having other choices than the mainstream.

I really don't like rating stuff because everyone's does it different.I wouldn't even rate 1 whole star, maybe 30% and that's really stretching it.I understand that employees can't get overtime so no one can blame them.Mangers and corporate office,,,,YES! Managers are the only ones that can deal with or contue to ask the corporate office.I've been in other Dollar Generals and other stores like ours.Regretting to say that I have NEVER seen ANY store as nasty and filthy as Garnett's Dollar General.I'm so sorry for being blunt but it is what it is.

The place was a disaster. Couldn't get down most of the aisles because of carts of boxes and inventory. The cat litter section was empty and the employee refused to go get me some from back room. Horrible customer service.

Few places can compete with their prices. During Xmas found unique bags and colorful boxes for small gifts. Cheap but quality Xmas cards.

This is a little store who tries. They are packed in with all kinds of things you might run out of during the week. My drawback with it is it is so small you can't shop comfortably.

Cluttered, claustrophobic, crapshoot as to whether or not you'll find what you want. Employees are always super nice though.
