I've taken all my animals there from the beginning. The staff is always asking questions, making sure questions or concerns are addressed, and very sweet with my animals. I have 1 kitty, and 3 guniea pigs. A family member of mine has 3 cats and 1 dog who have also been there, with good experiences too. Their cost is affordable compared to other places I've called for quotes. Bonus! Combine their wonderful service and great prices, I plan to keep bringing my animals there from this point on!

I took my very nervous cat in to see the very kind and patient doctors after he got into a scuffle with his sister and had a scratch on his eye. They were very knowledgeable and kind and patient with him and made him feel very comfortable.and got my baby all fixed up and back to him self. I have been using them for years, would not go anywhere else. Love the doctors and all of the staff.

This office is truly amazing! My dog is a good boy but turns into Cujo at the vet. Going to this office was the best experience we have ever had at a vet office. They truly know how to handle our situation. Everyone was awesome. The front office girls are very helpful and kind. The vet tech was so knowledgeable and really put us at ease. The Dr was so great. She explained everything and they truly want what is best for you and you fur baby. This was the first time I didn't leave in tears from a vet visit. Some friends recommended them I for sure will too!!! Wonderful place

I have so many wonderful things to say about Gardner Animal Hospital - specially their boarding, doggie daycare, and training options! They have specials during the week for doggie daycare and our youngest pup out of four LOVES all staff and gets so excited when he gets into the car and knows he’s in his way, Sherrie is the best! We also tried out the training with Lacy and let me tell you, our dog has changed significantly since he started! Lacy is magical, I don’t know a better word to describe how much of an impact she has made on our family. I was 9 months pregnant and worried I would go into labor over Memorial Day when the boarding was full and daycare was closed. Lacy put my mind at ease and told us she could pick up our puppy and make sure he is taken care of if I did have to go in unexpectedly. She has successfully trained our pup not to jump up on people, how to handle his excitement, listen to commands, and more. We didn’t have a yard until recently and Lacy helped train our pup to walk on a leash better so I could walk him while pregnant without any worries. Lacy has seriously been a godsend for my family and for that we are dedicated to her and Gardner animal hospital! Bonus is she sends photos of our pup when he visits and texts then to me! I always smile no matter what, plus I know they are in great hands!

Gardner Animal Hospital is a God send. My poor girl was literally hours from dying and Dr. Mertz saved her life. Her and her staff were amazing and kept us informed multiple times a day on how she was doing. I can't begin to thank them enough for their knowledge, diligence, and care.

Very friendly staff! I loved that they explained everything in detail and in an understanding way. I am so pleased that we finally found a vet that my dog loves going to! Before, it was always so hard to get her thru the front door but now, shes eager to see her new friends. Thanks to the staff for being so caring to her! Would recommend 10/10.

Dr. Spear is fantastic! She is a very bright young doctor with a very bright future ahead of her. She has been compassionate during difficult times and carefully laid out our options for our beloved Buddy. We lost Buddy recently, and when I was in the office today with our dog Baby at a vet tech appointment she stopped in the room and talked to me at length just to see how we were all doing after our loss. She continues to care for our furry family member as well as our daughters and we wouldn't want to take our pets to anyone' else.

We board our two dogs at Gardner Animal Hospital every time we go out of town. They get to stay together and that makes them so happy!! The staff treats my babies like their own. We always get a nail trim and a bath and they smell good for two weeks after. I recommend this place for your dogs next boarding experience!!

We were looking for a good vet to take our fur babies to as we had a bad experience with another vet here in Gardner. So for our first experience it wasn’t too bad. Did have to wait in the room for a tad bit long. Very hot in the room and our dogs were anxious. When exiting, We were a bit worried about the bill.. very expensive!!!!,Plus, when given our paperwork we had someone else’s bill info mixed with ours. Anyhow, I’m hoping we have great visits from this point on. After reading these reviews we’re a bit worried. It’s so sad that great customer service is rare these days. Hoping for the best. I’ll be back to review!

Thank you all staff!!! I just adopted the most beautiful,precious tuxedo kitten from them. They absolutely saved her life. No living thing should have to endure what she has. Do not recommend at all. Updated 399 dollars for 2 nights for 3 dogs under 15 lbs. twice what it would have cost other places and We were quoted 205 for boarding over the phone. (That’s why we went there) but then when I dropped them off I was told another 134 dollars to test their poop even though they are up to date on shots and everything else beside this made up nonsense. Excuses aside, we were over charged. Just another magical reason to charge more money and this reminds me why we started going to wildcat vet in louisburge. The staff were great. The owner group or management group is greedy and milking customers doesn’t work out in the end.

I boarded my dog over Labor Day and requested a bath and nail trim. My husband picked up my dog and he looked the same as when I dropped him off. I called the boarding and they said they did both, but he still had eye goo (hardened) and his butt was still not cleaned. Keep in my mind they set the shampoo and nail trim for that morning. No scent of shampoo, eye goo present and hard, and his nails he has been chewing on since he got home. I sent a 3.5 brand new bag of food along with 5 packets of soft to blend with his food. Three packets gone and 2 pounds of food gone and he is only a 10 lb dog. When I called, the girl said well I did his nail trim and I was back there for the bath. I told her I would not be back and she said, okay. I thought we had found a new place locally we could trust. I was wrong. Pictures upon request.

I called Gardner Animal Hospital for an appointment for my sick cat and was able to get in the same day. I had been trying to reach my previous vet for over 24 hrs without a response. The Dr and all of the staff at Gardner Animal Hospital were very kind and accommodating. They explained all of the tests they planned on doing, the results and the plan of care I needed to take him home. Although they were very busy this particular day, they were very patient with my questions and I never felt rushed. I would highly recommend Gardner Animal Hospital.

Gardner animal hospital is the only place i would take my dogs to for boarding. They take really good care of your pets and follow the owners instruction on what needs to be done. They make sure that the pet is well taken care of. I have been useing them for a long time and i will continue on useing them.

Took my cat their and was told she would be fine told me the bill was going to be 500 after they told use the car should make a recovery. Called the next day and the bill was 700 and they said we might have to put the cat down. I feel like they took advantage of me and basically took my money. The vet was smug and acted like who cares. Seems like a place I will never go back to I totally feel like I was taken advantage of. Shame on them.

We have a difficult situation between our dogs and Gardner Animal Hospital is very capable of handling it. Most facilities we have used have not wanted to deal with our issues, but GAH has bent over backwards to help us. The take good care of our dogs and we do not stress over leaving them in the boarding and dogie-day-camp. They are also working with technology to provide more to their customers. I love that I can log into their website and get previous information on my dog's health. I hear there is a web-cam coming soon so owners can peek in on their pets at play. Both the humans and dogs in our household LOVE Gardner Animal Hospital....update... our girls have since crossed rainbow bridge. When the time came, everone at GAH was so sympathetic and wonderful. We adopted 2 pups and take them to GAH. Dr.Mertz and her team are wonderful. They caught an obstruction in our terrier's intestine that was life threatening. We were able to get him to a surgeon in time for a positive outcome. They also caught a spine issues that could have paralyzed our terrier, but again we were able to get him to a surgeon in time for a wonderful outcome. Dr. Mertz hires top-notch staff that are knowledgeable and caring.

Stay away. Took my cat in for a teeth cleaning. No communication about the progress when they had her all day. Took her home in her carrier and when when I let her out the IV port was still taped to her leg!! By then the vet was closed and the answering service said no doctor was on call!! What??? Long story short - I had to pull the IV out. All I got was an, "Im sorry. " Dr. Mertz said I received bad customer service. More than that doctor......Never again.

You will find caring and knowledgeable staff and vets and Gardner Animal Hospital. They were completely full, but managed to work us in when our dog was sick. I switched vets because my vet of 12 years was too busy.

My animals thankfully have never gone. But due to fear of retaliation, I am giving a review for my dear friend.She had taken her cat there for a check on his heart. She apparently saw this “veterinarian” Dr. Mertz. She was treated rather poorly, but this shouldn’t come as a surprise after taking a look at the reviews. She talked down to her, insinuating that she was dumb, and told her that her cat could die at any moment and wouldn’t get the chance at a full life(how much do you make on euthanasia?). She also received medication for her dog. But, wasn’t charged at the time of receiving them and wasn’t made aware.She returned with her dog for a UTI, and was then charged for THEIR mistake. While she understands that she needed to pay for the meds, this forced her to postpone her cats appointment at another clinic. Whom, by the way, did state that he has a large heart but wasn’t as bad as “Dr” Mertz had stated.She was made to feel dumb, uncomfortable and traumatized due to being told her cat could DIE at any moment due to his condition.Your bedside manner is absolutely appalling. The fact that she wasn’t met with COMPASSION. Instead was met with large medical terminology that anyone who’s NOT in veterinary medicine would understand.I suggest learning how to comfort your patients and their humans. Teach your staff the proper protocols on how to handle transactions for visits. And communicate in layman’s terms while educating your patients about literally everything you’re going to do and how.

I love Gardner animal hospital! My dog was scheduled for surgery tomorrow. She went into labor today on a Sunday! They came in just to take care of my baby and deliver her babies! The staff was so amazing! I can’t thank them enough!! Highly recommend.

Patient with our troublemaker dogs and always friendly. We've been with them for a while and they've always taken good care of our pets. Despite them always needing to get shots, have their nails trimmed, and - most terrifying of all - stand still on a scale for a few seconds, our dogs love the employees and enjoy their visits here.

They were so caring of my elderly 14 year old dog. She recently had eye surgery a week before my move to Olathe from Oklahoma City, where they had to remove her eye. I took her to Gardner Animal Hospital to have her stitches removed. I will be going back if and when she may need care in the future.

I can not say enough great things about the Staff and Dr.s at the Animal Hospital and Dogs Days Inn. They love our fur babies as much as my family does. My dogs go to daycare at least three days a week and I feel like the staff is part of my family now. I could not have asked for a better group of people to make me feel like our fur babies are always taken care of!!!
