Love coming to the fort leavenworth commissary. It is so pleasant, organized neat and very clean. They take pride in their store. This is just not a place to come and shop. This is a place where they make you feel like family, They care about their customers and their team members.

Once you come off the bridge pull into the first entrance to the base and park in the left if you have a big 18-wheeler that's where you get your permit then you go to the next entrance and entering their where they will inspect your truck and give you directions to where you have to deliver inside the base. If your appointment is at 8 get there about 6:37 it takes a little time to process you and to get your permit. If you're delivering to the commissary you go to the second exit it is called Iowa Street. It was a very pleasant experience no hassles very nice.

Overall pretty standard commissary. Some of the fresh vegetables need some attention. This onion was cut open on the 5th of July 2019. I bought it on the 4th of July 2019. Rotten. Brussel spots and Cabbage. Sad.

Commissary is great… baggers not so much. One specific female bagger helped take my groceries to my car. However, when I handed her $10 cash (mind you, I had maybe 4 bags of groceries..) she proceeded to smash my bananas I bought on the ground and began to pour milk on my head. I was in SHOCK! She then proceeded to flex her arm muscles and walked away. This was a TERRIBLE experience and I will NOT be coming back.

I️ visited my sister (family of four) a couple months ago. As a family of four, they are able to find all the necessities here. Service was friendly and the self-check-out was great!Also, during the month of October they offer a huge selection of pumpkins in front of the entrance. It’s actually the perfect photo opportunity for the kids and while family!

This place has pretty great prices. The only reason I’m putting 3 stars instead of 4 or 5 is because of the customer service I received today. There was a manager special at the front door of the commissary that had beef patties in 2 lb packs that looked like they were getting older and had a sign that said $2.73. I thought that was a deal, even if they were getting older I could do something with them, so I picked up 4. When I went to check out I told the guy that they were ringing at normal price. So he asked one of his coworkers, and she said it was $2.73 per pound and not per pack when the sign said nothing about per pound. The guy came back, and I told him it wasn’t worth it for me at that price so I handed him the beef. He then said normally beef is about $5 a pound and that I was trying to pull a fast one on him. That kind of pissed me off, but whatever. Other than that the place is great and I would go back.

We are knew to the area. Am happy that this commissary is larger than the one we previously had. Friendly staff, clean, very inviting upon entering. Prices are little higher on some items, then I'm used to, but it balances it eventually. They have a nice meat selection as well.

As far as commissaries go, this one is par for the course. Nothing special about it, but it’s definitely my go-to for groceries since we live on post. The produce is fairly fresh, but sometimes they’re missing quite a bit. Same goes for the meat, but again, that’s pretty typical for most commissaries we visit. Size-wise, this one is adequate for the size of the installation. The deli customer service isn’t the best, but they do try to get orders filled quickly. They do have a good selection of international foods.

Smallest I’ve seen. Lots of bare shelves, when you ask why they’re never restocking they blame distributor, but other stores manage to get same items. Rude employees. Bark orders to customers if masks not practically covering your whole face, yet I have seen employees with theirs pulled down playing on their phones. Better selection and friendlier people at Dillon’s

what a wonderful benefit of my husbands military career! the prices and the selection are amazing! I have a long drive t ou get there but the savings are worth it! I stick up when I can! Many things are dollars off a regular grocery store

A great place to shop & a fabulous benefit. They have great selections in both the produce & meat sections with reasonable prices. The workers are helpful if you have any questions plus they're open 7 days a week.

This commissary isn't as big as others I've been to.. but I'm am very happy at he prices on meat compared to other grocery stores in the area. I wish they had more variety of Goya products.. bagger was kinda rude but other than that shopping went great..

Thank you Fort Leavenworth commissary for being a terrible (or wonderful) reminder of how inconsiderate employees can be, especially on post; Y'all hit a home run with these ones. While I enjoyed my shopping experience, my check out experience was worth less than one star. So much so, that when I spoke to my husband about the two employees I had encounters with, he knew EXACTLY who I was talking about - without me giving any more information than one was a male and one was a female. But again, thank you for this experience, as it's given me a well rounded look at what Fort Leavenworth has to offer.

Everything went well until I had to walk to my car with the bagger. This lady proceeded to tell me this long story about having 4 kids and needing money to buy food and Christmas presents. I have visited commissaries everywhere and this is the first time the bagger hits me for money. Now Im alone in the parking area by my car with this desperate stranger. I was not feeling safe anymore. Of course I gave her cash. I offered her my groceries but she refused. I would appreciate if management instruct the baggers of groceries to avoid hitting the customers for money. Im retired on a fix income and was not prepared for this. My suggestion to other customers is to bring the car to the commissary and have the bagger load the groceries right in front of the building. You will be safer that way.

Great savings for your groceries. Friendly and helpful. Remember to have tip money for your baggers who bag up you groceries and put them in your car. They only get tip money, no pay.

We shop @ Ft. Leavenworth post, using the commissary& P.X. store. The commissary always delights us , meat dpt. Is very good & great quality & selections , love the ethnic selections , lived in Germany for 5 yrs. & we can get a good selection of our needed products to make our favorite dishes & (please) don't ever stop bringing in the CHRISTMAS selections, we count on you!! Especially the Lebkuchen Tins & smaller selections of confections!! Thank You

This is one of the better commissaries. It is clean and it has everything you need. The employees are friendly and get you taken care of even if they are at 50% staffing. Fort Leavenworth is fortunate to have it. Please remember to tip the baggers.

They seem to be out of many if the things I want like Clorox toilet wand refills, lance peanuts, Britta water filters, caramel m&ms, mini m&ms, mini chocolate chips. Not just one time, but for more than 2 months!

Most prices are still a bit cheaper than downtown, you still need to watch the sales.Really like them having the motorized scooters at the front door!!!!

I've always used commissaries for my grocery needs. This commissary is very tidy but they often run out of the items in shopping for (e.g. Perdue chicken breasts). Other than that, I would definitely recommend this commissary.

They could do a lot better keeping things stocked, especially common every day items. The prices are about the same as Kroger.
