Great store! I only got to see about 1/4 of the store, it is so huge, and that was two and a half hours spent in store. We live about 1 1/2 hours away, but it will be road time well spent. The staff were very polite, helpful and courteous, there really are not enough adjectives to speak about them, but it is rare to be treated so well now a days in and customer related establishments. Thank you to all that assisted us today, we hope to be back to get the rest of our gift shopping done.

Four generations of my family have been going to Bluestem. Great family run business. I support any business that is closed on Sundays. They have the biggest selection of jeans I've ever seen. They sell everything from clothing, to farm and ranch supplies. The only negative, they don't sell guns anymore and don't have as much hunting stuff.

I love Bluestem the staff is great to work with and is a nice place to get anything This certain employee keeps being rude an she pushed the buttons to much Saturday May 29. Sabre in customer service was being really rude an unkind to a Mexican family in front of me. The young girl was translating for her Dad an Sabre kept rolling her eyes at this little girl an not speaking kindly. I can deal with someone treating me badly but being mean to a little girl an her family just try to buy some goods is not ok. I would have given Bluestem a 5 star review but it is not right for this to keep happening. It is not the first time this has happened.

Horrible customer service. Walked in with the family. Looking for boots and passed two ladies who worked there that were talking with each other just for them to ignore us. When we found the boots and we're were deciding which to go with. One of the ladies approached us with attitude and gave my wife attitude. She said if we put the boots back because she was missing one. Last time I'll ever go there

Bluestem is an icon in Emporia! There is really nothing that they don't have, short of makeup! It's clean, friendly, well-stocked and just an experience to go there. Love spending time browsing while my husband gets his supplies. Something for everyone!

I always tend to find anything I'm not able to find at other hardware stores here. Lots of odd and end stuff these guys carry. Always helpful staff and plenty of checkout lanes to get what you need and head out. Overall well organized place and with a little searching you can get to the section your looking for.

Bluestem Farm and Ranch is one of my favorite places because it has far and away the largest inventory of hardware and so much more. Horn importantly, the people who work there are highly knowledgeable and extremely friendly.For example, Charles Dunn is a former tool and die maker and former automotive instructor. He has more depth and breadth of knowledge about all things mechanical than almost anybody I know. He listens and comes up with creative solutions. Charles is just one example. The people who work in other departments know their products and how they work.As an economist, I am not always after the lowest prices; instead, I am after the greatest value. Bluestem prices are relatively low and the quality of their products is usually rather high.I like the way they sell nuts and bolts by the pound and they have different grades of these. Customer sir welcome to serve themselves and there are plenty people to help if need be.They have a shop and do good work. From repairing lawn tractors and other yard equipment to repairing tires I have found them to be honest, professional, and reasonable.Have a wide selection of clothing, boots, gloves, and more. Periodically some of these things go on sale.It is a pet friendly environment and common to see owners bring their dogs into the store. They have free coffee and soda pop is just $0.35. Saturdays they have free popcorn.I believe their hours of operation are open 7:00 to 8:30 pm Monday through Friday and they close at 5:30 on Saturday. Bluestem is not open on Sunday.A quick glance at the parking lot (i.e., license plates) suggests people come from all around to go to Bluestem. I've been in similar places all across the United States and this is far and away my favorite.

I love Bluestem. They have everything you need and then some. Saturday mornings they give away free popcorn. It's fun to browse and look at all the things. There is always a friendly staff member willing to help you with anything.

Beckart barbed wire sent me there because they sold the type I wanted.I found the place to be VERY full of inventory and of helpful staff. What a great business they have going on! They obviously earned it.First time in and I spent $2,500 on fencing. No wait in line... The guys came out and helped me load it on the trailer, etc. Had a great experience.

Great hometown type service. Almost everything for the home gardener, ranch, lawn care, outdoor sportsman, even beekeeping and chick days. If you are having an issue finding a part for a mower, chain saw or weed-eater, be sure to speak with a department manager sometimes they are able to order in items other staff members don't seem aware of.

Great Selection of construction, farm and ranch hardware, tools and supplies. Good source for hunting, fishing and camping supplies. Everything you need for lawn & garden from tools to plants, seeds & fertilizers as well as mowers, trimmers etc. Small sections of housewares, kids toys and misc. Gifts, along with a large section of clothing, gloves,shoes boots etc. Different sales every week, prices are competitive. Generally in my experience, if they dont have it you wont likely find it anyware but online. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff as well. Shop here often for work and home both.

The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They have a wide selection of merchandise covering gardening and yard work, to automotive and tractor supplies, to clothing and footwear, to plumbing and electrical, to home supplies, to Ag chemicals and parts, to fencing, to paint, to power and hand tools, to hunting and fishing. They even have a selection of Boy Scout supplies. I think the only things they don't sell, that you might need, is vehicles and lumber.

I've moved to NC 10 yes ago, but still can't find another farm and ranch supply that has the quality that Bluestem has. I'd drive 1000 miles for a good pair of boots.

I wrote a long review on here about how Bluestem didn't fix a mower but they will block you if you don't give them a perfect score.I would give them a big minus for honesty,customer relations and all around being decent.They kept my money,offered nothing and did not repair the mower.I took it to an 87 year old man in Eureka and it has ran like a top every since/ Let's see how quick they remove this

Bluestem is at least a weekly stop for us, if not more. If you need it, Bluestem most likely has it! I did actually find something today on my list that Bluestem does not have...but everything else on my list was there. They even helped me find a Stihl brush trimmer that I needed (OK, maybe more like wanted) for some field clearing...that was at another Stihl dealer. For that, I made sure to purchase all my accessories at Bluestem. Everybody is friendly (most of the time) and very helpful. I can't imagine not having a Bluestem available to me.

Ask an employee if they sold something gave me a firm no with out checking and kept walking. He went on to talk to someone else and ignored me. Will never ask for help again and find stuff my self

They have dam near everything you could want. Yes they won't always be the cheapest but they have good stock levels all the time. The only reason I gave them a 4 instead of 5 is because of some of the floor employees not willing to help or saying they don't have something before they even look then I find it.
