This place is simply awesome!! Where else can you buy some breakfast ingredients & pick up a SIG 9mm all in the same trip??!!Fantastic selection on multiple items, fair prices, and very helpful staff.Local gem that really offers value to the community.Always has enough stocked so you leave with what you need. LOVE the ammo sign!!

I just called genes and asked about a deer cam. She was so stupid she kept rudely saying "beer"? Until I yelled deer cam back through the phone. Then she rudely said idk you'll have to wait until someone is in the gun room. I asked when that would be and she said "idk noon". Then hung up. She better hope I don't recognize her voice cause I won't forget that one.

The fried chicken keeps me coming back. It's the best tasting and best deal I have found along my route. The people who work the delli are some of the nicest and most professional I have ever met.

The lady at the cash register was so rude to me and my fiance. We asked her where a product was, she snapped, we asked her about a product we were purchasing. She again snapped. She was extremely grouchy, she looked really mad, and I would never go there again because people like that shouldn't work in customer service.

This is a great store, even has a legit sporting goods store inside the store with guns! Everybody loves a good gun shop that's also a well-stocked grocery store! The deli also makes daily specials that make for a good lunch. I'll be back again and again!

Enjoyed my time there at Gene's foods.Interesting selections.Lots of hard to find (at the local markets) items.Wonderful selection of cards, gifts and books. A bit expensive but it is a speciality shop not a bargain center so I feel the expense is justified. It certainly is appreciated.

Love this little hometown store, they have a very wide variety of choices, especially the simply produce baskets. Just have to really watch for outdated or moldy items

Grateful for our small town grocery. The prepared deli is pretty good . It may have slightly higher prices than big box stores like Wal mart or Kroger, but it makes up for it by not having to drive 30+min to get groceries just to save a few bucks. And they have been working on having sales worth checking out . The staff is nice , and they still help bag and carry out stuff .

Meat selection is a good variety and produce is fresh. Cashiers are average for a store-dont greet you when you walk in and I usually have to bag my own groceries and take them to my car. That's why only 3 stars...they are the first and last person you see going to their business so they should make sure you walk in and leave happy

Produce not great, bakery for breads IS great, deli mostly meat, veggies drip in grease...selection for vegan/vegetarian specialty items not great, like non existent. No tofu, no nondairy yogurts or cheeses no vegggie meat substitutes. Gluten free items are sad...but...the people are nice that work there, and I like that they have a large housewares department.

Good little grocery store, a little pricey, but if you don't want to drive the 60 or 120 mile roundtrip from Holyrood to Great Bend or Salina to go to Walmart or Dillons, then this store does a good job. Friendly atmosphere and always smells good from fresh cooked meals in the deli. They also have a nice selection of outdoor hunting and fishing equipment and apparel.

This grocery store has a lot of unique items that you won't find in larger stores, plus you have the added benefit that they sale hunting and fishing supplies. If they were closer to were I live, I would shop there all of the time

Cute store, unfortunately my bag of grapefruits had pin holes stuck in 2 of the grapefruit. They all went in the trash. Staff was nice.

Groceries, hardware, sporting goods. This local grocery store has it all. Friendly employes from the deli to the meat cutters stock people all the way to check out. An enjoyable shopping experience.

Now since Walmart's gone and stay only food store in Ellsworth it's a little pricey but they have good options and since Walmart moved out they've gotten a better selection of stuff to ensure we don't have to go into Salina if we don't need to which is convenient
