We are eat here sometimes when we head to Elkhart for errands. I’ve never had anything that I didn’t like. They have a catfish special on Friday nights. I always enjoy that. Some other items you can never go wrong with are the Patty melt, chicken croissant sandwich, sweet potato fries, and calf fries. My dad and. I stopped in today and I had the Patty Melt with sweet potato fries, and my dad ordered a Swiss Mushroom burger with fried okra, and we ordered calf fries and fried mushrooms. We ended up taking about half of our meals home. This was his first time there and he thought it was good.

I stopped in for breakfast after staying the night at El Rancho Motel just a few buildings down. I ordered the Special Hashbrowns (recommended, and say yes to the offered salsa or tabasco if you like them spicier), coffee (just right), and a small glass of orange juice. The young man, Jonathan, I believe, who seemed to be working the entire restaurant, was friendly and efficient, and I was happy with the service and my food. The restaurant was clean, and the prices were reasonable, too. Big C's doesn't look like much from the outside, but definitely stop in if you're in the area.

Warmly greeted upon entry, fantastic service. Place looked very clean. Ordered the pancake plate, over easy with chewy bacon.Food arrived hot, fresh and made exactly as ordered. I really enjoyed my breakfast.Parking: Abundant parking.

Just passing through Elkhart and we decided to stop here for lunch. The service was friendly and the food was very good. We were a group of 4 and 3 of us shared the Big C’s burger and a side and had plenty of food. Fried okra for an appetizer was great and the fountain drinks were also good. We’ll come back if we are back this way.

A nice stop in the area. A wide variety of items on the menu including daily specials to select from.Wheelchair accessibility: Ground level entry option. No automatic door, but it is a single door for entry. No handrails present on walks or entry.

Very good! Chicken fried steak was not a tiny frozen piece of meat. Tasted homemade. Yummy baked potato, Texas toast, big salad, and gravy. Delish. I will come back next time I'm in town for sure!

I am 32 weeks pregnant and had forgotten to eat lunch. Mid afternoon, I was starving! I was craving a salad and haven’t had much luck lately at other restaurants with salads. I decided to stop on my way home and try out this place.First of all, I had to use the bathroom (of course). The bathroom was so clean!!Second of all, they brought me a huge water. Pregnant women are always thirsty!And lastly, the food was delicious! I got the grilled chicken salad and an order of cheese curds. Between those two dishes, I had lunch and leftovers for supper.It was fabulous and I will definitely stop by again when I am in the area for business. I doubt you will be disappointed!

The food is amazing and the service is always top notch. But careful if the youngsters are in the back making your food. I saw them eating in the kitchen, NOT washing their hands, then continued prepping the food. Not okay, especially in the middle of covid quarantine.I am leaving two stars because it may have been a one off occurrence, and thus far I’ve had pleasant experiences. But honestly, I may never go back after seeing that.

Right on main hwy. Spent just under 45 minutes from when I walked in. They had a daily special, but I chose steak fingers with mash potatoes and side salad.. good amount of food and cooked great.. stwak fingers were not breaded there, but I enjoyed and would stop here and eat them again. Friendly waitress, but never returned to table once plate arrived. She was busy with most tables filled.

Stayed overnight on the way back from Phoenix. Found them on Google so stopped here for breakfast. Great food, great price and great service. But the towns people are so friendly. Towards the end of our breakfast; me gentleman came up and talked to us then acknowledged me as a veteran. He asked to wait just 10 minutes and when he returned handed me a wooden flag with am eagle carved in the center.Obviously Elkhart and Big C's cafe will be on our route every time.

Returning from Phoenix after a stop in Santa Fe on my way back to K.C. A nice rest stop for some fair nourishing food. Had the patty melt that was ok, and a generous portion of sweet potato fries. Service was alright given the crowd they had for lunch. If I pass through again I’d stop. Hopefully to try their breakfast. Appreciate April’s help in correcting the only error in my order.

In the middle of no where, in between Phoenix and Kansas City. Looking for a local gem and found one.Our drinks came in large buckets 😁 Had a great turkey and avocado on a croissant. Fresh and ripe. Bacon was slab sized and cooked perfect.People were nice and veteran owned from the looks of it.Thank you. You were an oasis on a very long drive for us.

Me and a friend went here to eat breakfast and l can honestly not say one good thing about the food . I ordered biscuits and gravy. The gravy was plain gravy the kind they put on mashed potatoes. Then they sprinkled some sausage bits on top of it . Sausage had a rotten taste to it . The cook there must no 0 about cooking if that’s how you make sausage and gravy. The service was average.

I read previous comments...ARE YOU PEOPLE FIR REAL...NO 9NE US EATING WITH A MASK ON ANYWHERE.....how ludicrous...this STAFF IS AMAZING....FOID BEST MENI AND FLAVORS IN THE STATE....and as for the mask comments....I just traveled the entire country...and from what I see NO 9NE is wearing mask anywhere...so to say you need mask 8n a restaurant is just upright people trying to shut American businesses down.....shame on you for trying to shame such amazing people..
