I came here the day before Christmas for some last minute shopping and overdid it. I had 2 carts full! Like super full and no voice to boot! The two ladies working were amazing and helped me load everything even though I couldn’t even speak. They are always helpful and I’m in there a lot. Love this place and its employees!

I shop at this store almost every day of the week for seniors on a budget. The store is well' stocked' and somewhat responsibly priced. My only issue is customer service. I wait for up to 5 minutes to checkout my items today. I was treated like a criminal by one of the staff named azeese Mohammed. he cursed at me and and refused to service my checkouts. Other staff herd him screaming at me today and made Azeese do his job as a checker for dollar general store Kaw Dr. Edwardsville Ks.66111

This has got to be the worst dollar general I've ever seen!! Nothing but empty shelves!! I have given numerous times! But walk out asking why I keep coming here!!

. Update 11/25/23 so up until a few months ago shopping here was fairly descent unfortunately it’s not that way anymore. You can go into store at any given time and there’s only one employee working. I was here today around noon and there were several people waiting. The person in front of me needed help, we waited for almost 10 minutes and no one came I finally decided to go find help for him so the rest of us could buy our stuff, I found the clerk all the way in the back of the store and she finally came up front to help. Customer service in this store is practically non existent. Truly sad but I’ve had it with this place and will drive the extra 2 miles to go to the other one down the same street in Bonner springs.

Im going to check out and the lady was not nice at all she did not hand me my money she just put it on the counter pushed it across the counter then she walked away and flung the receipt at me I've been having problems with her for a while and I don't think I'm not going to be shopping at that store anymore I don't like inconsiderate people and rude people so I don't think that store is worthy of my business I liked it better before you change management it was a short lady dark hair and glasses she an older lady with a dark tan if you want business to work out at that store you might want to tell them that they need to be a little more considerate and not so dang rude I don't do business like that I don't do business with people that is rude so as long as there still there I will not bring my business there anymore I used to do a lot of shopping there but I haven't for quite a while and then I go back and I get this kind of treatment I know a few other people that does not shop there at that store it's in Edwardsville Kansas on kaw drive I'm just letting you know you're going to be losing a lot of business at that store if those people don't straighten up their attitude and how they treat people I was being nice to her she just ignored me and she gave me dirty looks so anyway good luck on that store you have a lot of unsatisfied customers I'm not the only one there's a few others that I know I will never go back and shop while their there or maybe it would be a good idea to get a babysitter and watch over their shoulders every so often to make sure they're doing their job right thank you for your time and have a great day

Rose is the rudest employee. God forbid you want to put your number in for coupons. She's snippy, huffy and made me wait 5+ minutes to even get checked out after she spotted me. She washed her hands and talked to several people, ignored me and another lady. Then told the other lady she was sorry I took so long with my coupons. It's not the first experience I've had with her. I'll go to a different store.

Nothing much has changed. Still messy and unorganized and cluttered. I got some coffee on sale but when I went up to pay for it, it rang up regular price and I told the manager that the price was incorrect. She said it had $2 off the price. Note the advertising price is $6.50 and she rang me to $8.50. She didn’t want to go back and check. And it was 8:30 am and hardly anyone was there so she could’ve just checked!

I gave it 5 stars because of their selection on different kinds of items. They needed to be better stocked on the drink and snack section. But I found most of what I needed for last minute items for a party. I also found a cigarette case which I really liked and an ashtray to match.

This store is a joke. Nothing is ever stocked. They have the stocking carts lined up and down the isles blocking the merchandise that is stocked. I drive the extra 5 miles to the one in Bonner Springs, atleats their store is clean and stocked most of the time.

Not just this Dollar General but all Dollar Generals need to be cleaned up and people need to learn how to put things on shelves as they come in. It's not employees fault for the way things look but management needs to take control of his store. There was a Dollar General at Osage County Down by Pomona Lake and it was clean organized everything in its place it was beautiful to shop. I love Dollar Generals it's easy to shop stop in hometown.

Freshly remodeling and has a lot of new, up-to-date items. Staff is polite. Lose stars from me for cluttered, disorganized aisles and consistently having to wait for staff to check out (prior to having their self check out options)

Changed the store display around. They have more variety of refrigerated/frozen Grocery items.Prices are usually quite lower than the surrounding stores. They don't have everything but their selection is pretty decent.

I hate to be rude, but this place has definitely lost my business. I went in today (5-16-16), and their card machines are always "resetting" or whatever the real issue is. I literally used my card there the night before, and I used my card at another business 5 minute prior to this. Then the cashier has the nerve to tell me that my card is declined, yet when I pull up the bank statement right there in the store... guess what.... plenty of money in the account. And it gets better, apparently these card machines are upgraded already, and if that's the case... then that's pathetic. Along with this, the cashier has the nerve to find the whole situation funny. There is no respect at all.This dollar general has a history of uncleanliness and bad staffing. I will admit that the staffing is getting better, but I'm sure that it will follow the same cycle that it did in the past. Which is plain chaos.I'm just beyond angry at this place. It was a waste of my time, and a huge inconvenience. This specific location gets so much business, and because of this I don't understand why there isn't more attention to it from the company, but I digress. So this dollar general has definitely lost my business. I could keep going on, but that's a waste of everyone's time. Overall, it's just a joke.

Staff here is fine, and selection/stock is as expected. But every time I go in the aisles are crowded with carts full of stuff, blocking the way through or access to stuff on shelves.

This store like most of the dollar stores is completely understaffed it is never stocked there's always product out on the floor that needs to be stocked and never gets put away. but the prices are good. not a very good store to go to if your wheelchair bound or use a walker

This store is always a mess. It's impossible to navigate the isles around the pallets of products that need to be stocked. They only stay in business because it's the only store that sells groceries in town. Definitely worth the drive to Shawnee or Bonner to do your shopping.

Could be a little faster at checkout. Installed self check out great make it 10 items or less and add another lol. Otherwise people mostly friendly and always hot what u need in a quick spot.

On a good day, I'd give them two or three stars but they have a couple clerks who refuse to wear masks and its unacceptable. The Bonner Springs location tends to have better stock and a cleaner store.

This particular a Dollar General is very unorganized but I understand why, several months ago perhaps a year someone came in and stole the entire crew that work there and ever since they never recovered their is the Isles are always filled with stuff that needs to be stacked I feel sorry for the manager but i do shop in there alot. Basically because it's so convenient.

This store has gone down hill fast. Today I ran in and there was razors on the floor in the toy aisle, open beverages spilled on the floor, unstocked shelfs. Aisles so crammed with unopened boxes of merchandise and boxes of merchandise strewn all over that you couldn't walk down them. Wouldn't recommend going here till they get there act cleaned up. I love how they've reorganized the store! I found a ton of great deals for stocking stuffers! Usually I feel they're a little overpriced, but I was pleasantly surprised. Plus, the convenience of location is 👌

Masks are now required in stores but the workers here wear them under their chin. Even when told that they have to wear the mask correctly they make up excuses that don’t even make sense. Store is always messy, and you can’t even go down some isles because carts with random products are there.

Went to use a coupon on dog food,the bag had a coupon on it from the maker I was told I could not use both? Very POOR coustom service. The employe I was told was a assistant manager was so rude!! I spoke with several other customers out in the parking lot all felt the same about the said employ,also was stated since she has worked there the stir has became very dirty,which I will agree with. That will be my last time in that store!

Standing in line waiting and 2nd cashier shuts down her line. ALWAYS carts full of merchandise in the aisles blocking shelved product. Employees could care less. To top it off you want to charge a "Convience Fee" for cash back? I'm done and will never shop there again. I'll gladly take my money 5 miles further down the road to Dollar Tree. Your empire could learn a lesson from them!

Most of the time it's an ok trip but today was one of the bad trips. The cashier was very rude and short with me and my family. Tried get hotdogs for dinner and popsicles for the kids. Had to pay with coins and when one item had to be removed, she slammed my girl's popsicles and broke half of them and when saying sorry for the inconvenience she acted like I was a damn bother and her manger wasnt worth her time. Somebody she be reprimanded for this cause this way out of line.
