Can I give 6 stars? Love this place, the staff, the food, the atmosphere are all fabulous. If you wanna go somewhere and get treated like family stop by Betty's I have been there a few times now had to go back to try the different varieties of home made ice cream and haven't been disappointed yet. The hamburger is cooked to perfect and the fries are freshly made. Love the indoor outdoor seating where you feel like one big family everyone is just so friendly. Did I mention the ice cream the Lemon Poppy Seed is so amazing they also have brownies and little coconut pies.

Today, we discovered a hidden gem. The venue is very nicely arranged, simple decor but looks so nice.The employees, owner included, are fantastic people, the hamburgers are delicious, the hand cut fries were great.Even though we didn't leave any appetite for dessert, we couldn't resist the HOMEMADE ice cream. It's sold in pints, which is enough for 2 people. I ordered the salted caramel and didn't consider sharing, it was delicious. I definitely recommend this restaurant and will be a frequent customer. It's worth the drive from Wichita, enjoy the drive and the small town feel.

Betty's is a cute little restaurant. My mom and I love the decor and how they've renovated the building. She likes the hamburgers and I love their chicken fingers. They're pounded out flatter and wider, so it's almost a chicken cutlet. They're delicious. I also love the chocolate cream pies. We tried the pistachio ice cream once and didn't like it (just not hitting our palate right, but could be great on yours). I also felt it had a fatty mouth feel that I didn't like. I will eventually try one of their other ice creams to see if it's just their recipe for ice cream or if it was that flavor. The bathroom is outside and you ask them for the key. It is also renovated and very cute. The staff are friendly, and if it's not too busy they will often stop to chitchat. We really enjoy Betty's and would recommend it to everyone. You do have to order your sides separate from your burger/chicken fingers, and they only allow 1 free refill with pop (no outside drinks allowed). So it's not the cheapest place, but it's not super expensive either. Everything is made fresh, I've been 4 times now and never had a cold fry.

Four of us drove to Betty's for a fun Friday lunch. Boy, did we come to the right place! The attractiveness of this freshly painted stand-alone building with its small bit of Kansas tallgrass landscapping is delightful (I forgot to grab a photo). Order at the counter and your bag of burgers are served to you at any indoor or outdoor table you select. On nice days the overhead door is opened to merge patio seating with the indoor dining room tables. A glass door separates the indoor dining room from the front counter and small table area. We had roughly 240+ years of cheeseburger eating experience at our 4-person tall table. We agreed Betty's burgers, onion rings, and curly fries are FABULOUS. Do not leave without eating her fudge brownie. Oh my, indeed! We lingered for a long while savoring our brownies with free soft drink refills. The cherry limeaide was authenic. The help were so sweet and friendly. My wife said the ladies room was adorably decorated and smelled clean and fresh. We will return again and again!

I am currently in the middle of eating one of the best burgers I have ever had! It's called the Black Knight and it's the signature burger at Betty's. I cant say enough good things about this food. Homemade ice cream and desserts too! My wife and I both ate for $20 and had food to take home. We live an hour away and will be making the occasional trip to Betty's to do this again. Also worth noting, the amazing "small town" service and atmosphere makes this place a new favorite!

Finally got to try this place out. I had not been by when they were open.Great decor and atmosphere. Service was outstanding. Food was delicious.I made the mistake of ordering a double. I left there stuffed - wasn't hungry for dinner that night.I will certainly be back. Highly recommend!

Betty's was a very pleasant surprise in a small town, and well worth going a few miles out of the way to visit. Excellent food, quaint atmosphere, super friendly staff. The Black Knight burger was phenomenal; literally the best "bacon cheeseburger" I've ever had! Ice cream choices galore, available in pints to take home as well, which we did. Cannot wait to try the lemon poppy seed and pistachio ice creams!Parking: Not that many spots, but the place is quite small. The parking is plenty adequate for the size of the business.Kid-friendliness: Very relaxed, not a "fussy" atmosphere at all. Would be kid friendly for sure.

Some friends and I stopped by after a busy afternoon and were thoroughly impressed! The interior had a cozy atmosphere as well as being nearly spotless. The lady at the counter was kind and had a ton of energy! There was a bit of a rush when we arrived. Even so, the food came out much sooner than we expected compared to similar restaurants. The food itself was reasonably priced and delicious! We had two 1/4 pound burgers, a Black Knight Burger as well as some of their homemade ice cream, all of which tasted great!

I tried Betty's for the first time today and LOVED it! My husband had eaten there several times before when out in Douglass for work and decided he needed to drive me out there so I could try it too. I still have yet to make it out to Louie's in Rose Hill, and while my husband is a fan of Louie's, he says he really likes Betty's too. So--attention Louie's fans--you should give Betty's a try! We both had cheeseburgers (you can choose which condiments/veggies you want on your burger), and I had the tots while my husband had the hand cut fries. Everything was made fresh (be patient--it's worth it!) and everything was DELICIOUS! The burgers were so SO good. They reminded me of Shake Shack burgers (minus the sauce, of course)--I wonder if they use the same buns? The tots were hot and crispy, and my husband's fries were great too, and I'm typically not a fan of hand cut fries. I also had a cherry limeade that was insanely good. They also make their own ice cream, so we bought a couple pints to take home and a strawberry shake for the road. WOW! Absolutely delicious! On top of the great food, the staff was super friendly and it's a really cute little building. Small inside, but there is a nice patio outside with some additional seating. It's probably best for our waistlines that we don't live closer, but we will definitely be back!

I went for the first time this afternoon. I just wanted a scoop of Betty’s homemade ice cream, but it’s only sold by the pint. I took one for the team and bought a pint of peach ice cream. It was scrumptious! Yep, I ate it all. The folks sitting next to me had burgers and onion rings. They oohed and ahed how good theirs was. The women working there were sweet and polite. I will be back.

The food is beyond exceptional. The quality of the food is unmatched. The burger was full of flavors and juicy. The onion strings and fresh cut fries are some if the best I have ever tasted. The Cherry Limade is a signsture drink. Homemade ice-cream is another feature of the Betty's. A true gem of a restaurant. A destination location. Come try out the food and the friendly, down home staff. Truly worth a visit

Good burgers, fries, and onion "rings". The onion rings weren't really rings, more like strings, but were very tasty! The burgers were delicious, and what fries I got were good. (Shared some with my siblings, so I didn't get many!) No ice cream available then, but will have to try again. Glad to see they're going to be open longer hours. Beautiful atmosphere - gorgeous tin ceiling, limestone, etc. Parking and indoor seating is very limited. This is a great addition to Douglass! So glad it is finally open.

I got the ice cream to go and it was fantastic. Can't wait to try the food. Place is spotless. People are friendly. I am glad to go in a place that has a line of people waiting!
