Went on 19Feb2024 around 1pm and had the rudest, curt, person take our order. Hardly let me say anything, constantly cut me off and after she ended the order and told me the price, she still had the mic open and heard me complain and my companion say let's just go, then she came back on and said, "Did you want something else?" All syrupy, probably so I wouldn't report her. She needs retrained. The person who brought the food out was very sweet and I tipped her, it wasnt much, and I really hope she didn't share it with the person that took the order.

The service is generally slow and even on particularly slow nights you still receive stuff like this. There is absolutely no way the cook didn’t see this and put the food in the wrapper anyways.

Normally I would say that it was really bad service, but to be bad implies that you exist. The service here was nonexistent. Several cars were behind me in the drive-thru (I was at the speaker) and we all ended up leaving after ~10 minutes of no one acknowledging us.After reading the other reviews about the food it would seem that they actually might have done us a favor. My goodness. This place needs a major overhaul.

Ordered food a couple weeks ago through drive through. Pulled up to pay. They handed us food and closed the door after saying have a nice day. Didn’t ask for card or anything. Didn’t even read our total back to us. So we assumed someone paid for our meal.Well TODAY I go to grab lunch. Lady brings out my meal and gets real snotty asking if we owned a certain vehicle then proceeded to say we ran out on $35 worth of food because our card was declined. BUT AGAIN THEY NEVER ASKED FOR OUR CARD/CASH at the drive through. So please explain how it’s our fault? I even asked for proof and the “manager” refused to give any. I’ll gladly pay for what’s mine. But you will not be nasty and treat a customer the way you did today. PERIOD!

I love their slush I love their hamburgers I love I love they melt only if they would just have better hospitality and better service than anything else because it's so slow. Always love sonic but they need people there that knows what they're doing and not screw up my order all the time

Employees were friendly and helpful…..the screens to order were messed up, so had to find one that worked. Usually we really enjoy sonic, but the food was pretty bland, not a lot of flavor at all. Just not the quality that you usually get from other sonics we have been too.

Thank you Clay Center Sonic team!! I have the Sonic mobile app on my phone, & anytime/anywhere I have tried to use it for the coupons, IT NEVER GOES THROUGH!! Today, this team explained how the app is separate from the restaurant & have no control over the app etc. Long story shorter, they honored a discount for me that was better than the coupon I had. The food was great-crisp onion rings and strawberry lemonade tasted perfect! ......just a little bit less mustard on the burger would be the only change. But thanx again for the awesome customer service!

Wait forever to order, wait forever to get your order. Service is severely lacking lately. Used to be faster, customer service used to be excellent& orders always correct. I still go, because it's sonic. Just hope things get better soon. Not sure what's going on

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I have given them several chances with nothing ever changing. My food always takes nearly 30 minutes or longer to get to me, I don't remember the last time I was served fresh fries or fresh anything for that matter. The last few times I have been there my fries have been cold and stale and thrown in the bag to dump all over the place. Same experience today. Cold stale fries everywhere in the bag, a cold grilled cheese, a stale pretzel, and everything else was bad. We spent $30 today for cold stale food. Sonic needs to step in and get this place fixed.

I was not happy with the service or the food quality. First, they asked us to pick up our food at the drive thru. Then, our burgers were cool enough the cheese wouldn't even melt. The chicken sandwich we ordered was not correct, it was grilled chicken instead of the crispy chicken we ordered. I was not happy spending $40 of my hard earned money for very poor service and food quality.

The food was just as good as it normally is. Ordred a strawberry cheesecake blast and a strawberry water and waited for it seemed like 10 minutes. When the shake came my friend said that it seemed like it had less cheesecake in it. Other than the slow service it was not that bad at all. Not that great either.

I just ordered 2 blasts and they both arrived almost 40 minutes later and they were melted and missing candy I paid extra for. I went back and they kindly remade the blast but the new one had HAIR in it. I tried to call and it would immediately hang up. So disappointed!!

We have had not so good service before, but not like tonight. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, lettuce only with a coke and fries, it came with tots, no biggie, but the sandwich came with everything on it. I called them and they replaced the sandwich, made right this time, lettuce only, first few bites were not hot, but warm, then I bit into half frozen chicken. I did not return it, we just left. I love Sonic, most do a great job preparing food, just not this one.

This is the second time I have tried Sonic since the management change. The first time the person taking my order was rude and didn’t even let me finish ordering before giving me total and not allowing me to finish. I went out this evening at about 9:30 and ordered 2 ice cream cones and it took 10 minutes in the drive thru. There appeared to be serval workers inside. They was sliding around on the floor due to it being very wet and slippery. They should probably require them to wear nonslip shoes.

Went through the drive thru to order a drink and got no response to take our order. So we went to a stall to order, took 5 minutes for someone to answer the button then it took another ten minutes to get one drink. Not going there for awhile. Supposed to be a fast place to order food and drinks, this is not the place

Sonic was just what you expect. Good food at a great value. I think they have the best onion rings of any fast food store.The service is always friendly and for the most part, fast. I know they don't make very good money so I always make it a point to tip them.

I ordered blasts for my daughter and I. Mine an Oreo and Hers Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, and we had to mix the cookie in ourselves, otherwise it would have been only on top and vanilla ice cream. Very disappointing. We will not return or recommend Clay Center 's Sonic.

Best sonic visit yet! I would love to see the abilene location work so well as Clay Center! We all showed up after the track meet in town. Sonic got jammed. Did it show?! Did they get flustered?! NO! They took orders with the best attitudes, never messed up our orders (5 meals a car load). The drive through employee, was amazing! She needs to be there on any school event night. The rush was no issue for her and she kept her customer service very high!

So slow and rarely do they get your order right. And often your food is not only wrong but cold or hard. Some employees are genuinely polite but most are smug and rude. Be prepared to wait an hr on fries and a shake. And dont bother ordering onion rings because they are usually out. And if they tell you it doesn't come with onions their lieing.

Every time I've been to the clay center sonic in the last year I've been disappointed. This time my grilled chicken sandwich came out breaded and so over cooked I couldn't have eaten it if I wanted to I got half an order of fries and my shake is soup and it took them forever to bring me my wrong shorted and melted food.

I went here with my Mother and my Aunt. The food was good and tasted great! The server brought everything we asked for. It went well. I had no problems at all. It was tasty! I may not have another opportunity to visit this location again, but I had a pleasant experience.
