When we were heading back to Colorado with our horse that we had just picked up in Pennsylvania we had a last minute change of plans and needed to stay at Pretty Horses. We called left a message and Julie called us quickly back. She was very accommodating and friendly. The horse facilities were extremely clean and she cleaned up in the morning time so we could head out early. The BnB in the basement was extremely clean, well equipped, comfortable and very quiet even though the home is very close to the freeway. Julie and her husband have created a fantastic welcoming environment and they have served this nation honorably through the Army and we're grateful for their service to our country.

What a great place to stay with your horses! My wife and I were on our way back to Florida from a stay in Colorado with 3 horses and 2 dogs. We didn't know exactly when we'd be leaving the mountains in Colorado, and we couldn't call Julie and Wayne because there was no cell phone service where we were. We were a few days late on leaving the mountains, but Julie was extremely understanding and flexible.When we arrived at Pretty Horses, Julie and Wayne set us up in a very comfortable shady spot near the barn. The barn and horse runs are really nice with lots of room for the horses to move around. Lots of cool fresh water right by the horse runs.Our hosts were very friendly, and we even got some fresh tomatoes right out of the garden! We spent the night in our own trailer, so we can't offer much insight about the bed and breakfast. But, judging by everything else we experienced there, I'm sure it's nice as well.If our gang is ever in the Chapman area again in the future, we'll be staying at Pretty Horses. We would recommend this spot to anyone - and don't forget to ask about the Osage oranges.

Our plans changed and we needed a place to overnight with 5 horses when we left Denver. I called and Julie immediately checked her books and said she would make room for us. This place was so clean for horse and human. They have hook up for trailers but we used the bed and breakfast. She had snacks, beverages and a light meal ready for us if we wanted. She went over and above to make us comfortable and to help us. Highly recommend and will be back any time we travel out west again!! Thank you again!!

We called last minute for a place to stay on a trip home with a mule. She was so accommodating we were coming in later than normal and she was so nice. Place was very clean and safe. Had a nice clean stall for our dogs, they are not allowed in house, and we get that. We stayed in the B & B. The house was very clean, beds were very comfy. She had breakfast food in fridge and starbucks coffee for us to make. Would definitely recommend staying here.

During my out of state move we stopped overnight at at Pretty Horses B&B to rest my horse. We stayed at a local motel because we were traveling with my dog. My horse was rested in the morning and ready to travel the remainder of our trip. The facilities were very clean and Julie was very accommodating. I would highly recommend Pretty Horses.

Stayed here while PCSing from Colorado to Ohio. Very easy to get to from the highway. Very good horse facilities. The people accommodations for good too. Nice private room with den area and good coffee. If you were traveling along I 70 and looking for a place to board your horse is, this is good if you were in the Fort Riley Kansas area.

Julie and Wayne are very gracious hosts. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Their facilities are modern, clean, and comfortable. The runs were really nice for road-weary animals.

This was a great stopping point for us and our horses. We stayed there in the fall of 2017. Great hospitality by owners. Clean, safe stalls and runs for our horses. Would definitely stay here again!

So on the Fourth of July we made an honest mistake where we mixed up this address with another person’s phone number so we thought we were in communication with the barn on her the entire time and when we showed up around midnight and realized that we had made a mistake we were trying to turn our truck and trailer around when the actual barn owner came out yelling and complaining out of this saying it’s not a 24 hour facility and she’s not gonna take the horses and was just extremely rude and disrespectful about it. The horses have been on the trailer for over 10 hours and it was seriously just a mistake and she could’ve been a little bit nicer about it then she was. Sometimes when you’re traveling things happen like that and the way you get the good review is if your accommodating and understanding but this woman was nothing but angry at us for showing up on her property on accident due to a simple address and phone number swap.

Clean, convienent and comfortable with nice attention to detail for owners and horses. Easy circle driveway, large indoor outdoor runs, and great host. We'll definitely stay again when traveling through KS.
