Nice clean store with plenty of inventory on the shelves. Fresh produce look great. I was dissapointed that they didn't have more full service checkout lines available. Only two lanes were open. All in all an average Walmart (which is a good thing).

I went to Walmart today to get a new outfit and makeup for my mother's funeral. I got to makeup isle since I have allergies and sensitive skin I was looking at ingredients then out of the corner of my eye seen the general manager peeking around the corner then when I looked up he disappeared so I just thought he was just looking for another employee. Then I saw him again then again he made me feel creeped out I wasn't finished looking for what I needed so I just grabbed the rest of the makeup on my list I had without looking at ingredients and left make-up area. I didn't do anything wrong. I'm in here all the time never had any issues so I went and got my husband in sporting goods and finished up our shopping. We to go check out apparently he was watching us check out on a Ipad. When we got out to the car he told me he was watching us the entire time through the whole store in my opinion that's harassment .I get home and realize I bought some wrong items that I need to exchange them but I don't want to go back I felt so uncomfortable. I'll be buying my clothes and makeup elsewhere from now on. So if this happens to you make sure to take out your phone and record it. That's harassment

Didn't get everything that I wanted. Particularly Cera ve products. They seem to be pretty popular these days, due to Dr. Ray cosmetologist collaboration with Walmart. But overall the shopping here was nice.

In summary: Walmart is making it difficult for people to access birth control.The condoms are in a locked display case, though they are not expensive. Anyway I thought I would only need to ask the nearest employee and they would unlock the case. No, the employee I found told another employee, and neither one acted like they cared much, but they did say something about someone else meeting me there. So I go back to the case but no one comes. So I went back and they said something about not having the key to the case, and I could ask someone at checkout. So I went to the checkout area and asked. She said she had to page the manager and that he would meet me at the case. So I went back to the case again and finally saw the manager approaching from across the store somewhere. He opened the case, and told me he had to escort me to the checkout. What, seriously?! It's just a box of condoms! Because I had more shopping to do, he brought it to the checkout himself and told me which lane to go to. Then when I checked out I had to ask that clerk for the box of condoms.Buying a box of condoms should not be like purchasing expensive jewelry. In order to purchase the box of condoms, I had to tell five different store employees. This makes it even harder for people to get contraceptives, particularly groups like teens who may not be comfortable with discussing it so much and being escorted to checkout. I suspect this may be less about preventing theft and more about restricting access to birth control.

Never do they have adequate checkers. Today's excuse " working on recycler". five on leave...two out sick... But 2 senior citizens are working .Update: My checker yesterday, March of 2024, Michael, did an amazing job. He carefully put my purchases into like item sacks, filling the sacks like a pro, and wrapping the glass bottles carefully in another sack. I was astonished. I have never seen a checker at WM do such a great job. I flagged the manager down and told him that I had the best checker that I had ever seen in any WM in Michael.Michael also did my double card deal as I did not have enough money on one card to pay for the entire purchase after thinking that I did have. So he handled like like a pro also.This young man needs to be very proud of the great job that he does. I refuse to use the self checks and I anticipate now waiting in Michael's line patiently as I know others will clue in to his perfect sacking skills. WM needs to use him to train other checkers on sacking. And I hope they could bring back paper sacks. I had to work really hard to find a use for the plastic bags. I will pay for the choice of a good paper bag.Chanute finally has enough checkers because this community just refuses to use the self checks. We need every job. So we stood in line and complained loudly. This store now has about 4 checkers working in the times that I frequent.

With all the cameras and technology, not to mention the implicit forcefulness of making you check yourself out, they shouldn't have such an urge of standing nearly directly behind you. Those registers shut themselves down my friend WHEN (not if..!) it sees you attempting to skate product by. Back off a bit.. I know I don't smell that pretty!

Help was very limited, and our cashier was very rude. I can't believe that they have that many associates walking around the store, stalking shelves, facing shelves, or scanning in needed items that are low, and not one of them could be bothered to help us find out item, NOR FIND IT'S PRICE! Then to be treated like common trash at the check out by a man who is clearly only interested in how much you're spending so he can guesstimate what you are worth. He obviously only cares about his own paycheck cause he looks at you as though you're worthless when you pay with partial cash, and partial card. Screw you. I'm not even from here and I won't be back. So rude. This Wal-Mart is a disgrace!

Don't like the self checkouts. They raised prices and expect us to work for them for free. After walking all over the store, I don't want to scan and sack my purchases. With only one or two cashiers working, I have to stand in line for too long for my age.

Rvers traveling across and needed to use a pit stop and buy more groceries to stock our fridge we thank the Walmarts that let us RVers stay overnight. The ones who will not let us stay overnight we do not buy anything and I leave them a deposit in their toilet.

Friendly associates, up to $100 cash-back, and at the self checkout it doesn't just throw your money on the ground like at the other Walmart, and they even have wands so you don't have to take the heavy items out of your cart, great clearance items for re-sale (out of season; you'll have to hold onto them for 6 months)... that's five good things which I suppose means a 5 Star review

I'm 47 years old and have been shopping at Walmart from the time I was a little 3 year old girl to the present. That's 44 years of shopping at Walmart and there has only one time that I was treated like I was an idiot and what I said didn't matter. Like I didn't know what I was doing and such. It hurt my feelings more than anything but, and really felt severely offended and angry. The situation was addressed and the person was relieved of their duties. My experience with Walmart is a very good one. If I don't go every day I go every other day.

I ordered 50pc chicken and 5 lbs of tenders. I thought they were gonna turn me away. But no way! All of the deli and bakery staff SUPER AWESOME and quick! Hot food cooked to perfection and the wait was not long. Like right under an hour! Oh and the greeter was amazing! He told me a GREAT joke! I wished I lived closer to this store.

I had poblano peppers on my list. States online and even at the store on the price that they are 2.78 per pound. I was charged 2.78 a piece. Needless to say they stayed at the store. The over pricing of products happens all the time at this Walmart. Even customer service said they were 2.78 each. I told them to correct their price.It used to be that the store had to charge what the price was that was advertised at time of sale and it was illegal to charge a different price.

Walmart just keeps getting worse. The damn new self checkout registers tried to rip me off. Used a gift card and cash to pay for my items. Register took my gift card and showed I owed another $7.48. I put exactly $7.48 in, register was taking forever. Employee walked up cause I said something about it taking all day to count a f-ing penny. Register showed I paid in full, then showed a balance of another $8.73. Manager was called, employee told her she was us pay and what happened. Register wouldn't even except managers I'd card. Wouldn't show we needed help or nothing. Manager told us we were good without a receipt to leave. Go back to people checking you out or at least have registers that work right!

This Walmart in Chanute was way cleaner than ours in Hutchinson. It seemed a bit more roomier on the isles.

waited 30 minutes by the paint department counter. Hit the associate call button every 5 minutes with no success. Another associate called somebody and it "Assistance needed in paint department" was broadcast over the store speakers. 10 minutes later, same helpful associate called again and same call came over the speakers again. Waited another 10 minutes and gave up! Stopped at customer service department on my way out and described my experience and my dissatisfaction. Customer service lady responded by saying "OK". I left and bought my paint at Sherwin Williams.
