I really used to like this place, but the owners ran off most of their customers. Now they never seem to be open. A few years ago the owners refused to let people passing through or people living at nearby Fox lake to shop at their store due to low inventory. Cassoday is a tiny town, why they wanted to discriminate against those of us living 1/4 mile out of town I'll never know. Well, many of us at the lake decided not to buy gas or shop there anymore. Now they seem to be out of business...

When you search gas station on Apple Maps this pops up as an option (with high ratings!) Obviously country store sounds much nicer than a regular gas station. Not only was it not open for food or restrooms because the hours are wrong but there was also no gas.

Great food and wonderful people.We were on our way to TX and couldn’t wait till Wichita for lunch and this store popped up on google for us.So we stopped here for lunch and it was a great decision! We got the cheese burger, pork fritter and jalapeño poppers. Everything was yummy and carefully prepared. They also had some treats on their counter, so we decided to take their brownies and they were amazing too!Do stop here for great food and service and help a small business in the process!Safe travels!

I came to the country store in search of gas, but they were out. In dire need, the friendly and amazing family that owns it gave me a personal can they had in their garage so I was able to make it up the road to the gas station. And refused to let me pay! Thank you so much.

Hours have not been updated, nows runs 8-5 pmWould not rate one star usually, but there is a toll both that you have to use twice to get off and on I-35 to learn that their hours haven’t been updated. I’ll remove this when they update their hours.

You won’t find a better place to stop. We were a state away from home and our tire had a bad rip in it and was about to blow and the owners were a blessing. He changed our tire, refused our money, and help us in a way we won’t be able to repay. You can’t take kindness for granted these days. It’s good to know those small town businesses are still around.

I fail to see how it's joe biden's fault this station has no fuel. Couldn't be the antique pumps that are unable to be upgraded. A gasless gas station. Complete waste of time for anyone needing to stop

We had flown into Texas to pick up our HD to ride it back to MN. Somewhere along the way, we hopped of the interstate to tour around the back roads and small towns, to see what was open and get a taste of the local experience. Sadly, all of the small town mom & pop shops that we came across were closed, permanently. Most likely because of Coronavirus. After an hour or so, we had given up hope. We were so thirsty. It was 98 degrees out and on the topside of a hot Harley, it felt like 120. We headed back towards 35 to find to one of the chain stores we were so bored with. Right before we got back to the interstate we found this place, and it was open! The owner was there and couldn't have been kinder. On that particular day, her coolers were on the fritz, and her ice delivery had been delayed several times. There was nothing cold to drink, but she knew how needy we were. She had a regular household fridge that most likely had her own personal stash of stuff in it, and pulled out the last 2 bottles of cold water that she had. That might not sound like a big deal to most people, but to us, in that moment, she was nothing short of a lifesaver! We hung out with her and enjoyed some easy conversation for a bit on the cozy porch out front. We didn't need gas and we weren't hungry, but we will definitely stop for those things next time we're passing through! We all need to support our local businesses, even when you're not from that town. We need to keep kind, hard working families like this going. Trust me, you don't realize what you have until it's gone!

I choose here, for fresh cooked food, friendly staffing nice owners, who are living here Kansas! Not Colorado like the corporate fast food, joint on the turnpike, I support this States people buy Kansas! And conservative Americans it's not oh so much turnpike fee to eat properly .

Great country place with homemade egg salad sandwiches, lunch buffet and menu items to pick from. Get there before noon for lunch or there may not be much left to pick from. Great atmosphere, nice people and it's very clean.
