I like this little hometown store. We haven't done any major shopping here, but always go here for the things we need between major trips. They do have some good sales. Always friendly empliyees.

This is a GREAT country store, if you're in need of a knowledgeable butcher, go see Tim in the meat market at the back of the store. He will cut you the roast,or loin, or steak of your dreams, personal attention,to your needs. This is my go to butcher shop for my family affairs.

Always well stocked. Locally owned. I don't buy milk here as it is very expensive, but everything else is priced just right. Clean. Friendly staff

Made a trip to see my sister in Carbondale from Idaho..kind of a step back in time, felt like a family grocery store in the 50's..nice folks

Every time I come here I say I'm not coming back for one reason or another. Prices not correct, old meat, old produce, etc. Customer service used to be great but the last few times no hello no thank you etc. This time Raylyn didnt say hello.. I put my own grocerys in the cart while she rang them up. Went she got my money she just stood there and I said are you going to put the rest in my cart. Bad bad service. If customer service was good more people would come and you would not have old stuff on the shelves.

Jim's Thriftway is conveniently located. If you need groceries and don't want to make the drive into Topeka this store carries the necessities.They don't have the weekly ads that other Thriftway stores offer. That is unfortunate because they would probably bring in more customers if they ran weekly sales. I believe in supporting local businesses, especially those in our small towns in and around Carbondale. So, if you haven't shopped at Jim's I hope you will consider stopping in.

For being a small town, corner the market with a Dollar general a block away, you would think their prices would be more competitive? We used to shop here a lot more but under new ownership, not so much anymore.

THE place to buy meat!! Great selection and prices. Meat counter folks are AH-Mazing too! Great place to get what you need for the perfect BBQ our impromptu gathering!

Looks like I'll have to shop in Topeka. I really like having a store close to home. However, when they stop stocking what you buy it's hard to keep coming. Been asking for lrg curd cottage cheese for 3 weeks now. They used to stock it. We used to be able to get the bread we buy too but now they don't have that either. The baggers have also been messing up. Eggs bagged at the bottom of the bag, chips crushed, bread crushed, now no paper bags. This store has all the signs of how to go out of business. Now they can say goodbye to an avg of 350 dollars a month.

Midtown Market has freshened up its look. The parking lot has been repaved with newly painted parking lines, it is looking very nice.

Carbondale Thriftway is my go-to grocery store for groceries. It's the closest to me. The location makes it an easy get-in-get-out stop. Many improvements to food coolers have been completed so my food products are in better condition than in the past.

Now called C'dale Thriftway, local friendly & easy place to shop, cash check or buy stamps with mailbox on way out of parking lot. Just wish folks could learn to enter drive up near building and exit near mailbox......

Prices have always been ridiculous, and some of the items are WAY past their date. I only stop in for two or three things when I don't feel like driving to Lawrence or Osage City.

It would be nice if anyone would smile even the mgr won't say anything. Didn't want help out, but would have been nice if checker could at least put them in the cart
