WORST experience EVER. Waitress was FAR from friendly. She was in no hurry and their prices were the highest Ive seen. Making seniors order a full-size drink, cannot be water either, to the tune of 3.99 for tea or soft drinks and this is required BEFORE you are allowed to order off the senior menu and be eligible for the special of 2 can dine for price of one, or if you see their misleading wording in the billboard sign, it reads, "seniors eat free every day between 2-4pm". NO asterisk, no small print and absolutely NOWHERE does it say MUST order and pay for a $4 drink that is seldom wanted. NOT happy at all will not return to this location.!!

On next visit, bathrooms were closed due to Caney, Kansas ordinance to close public restrooms to conserve water. I did not stay and eat. Who world, at a place where you can't wash your hands? Do the cooks and wait staff?Vegetarian options: Fried mushrooms are a gift from heaven. That and salid fills me up. Fried squash is usually excellent. Cup of soup is thick, creamy potato with diced onion tops and cheese(though that might not be strictly vegie). Warning, greenbeans are seasoned to perfection with bacon bits. Broccoli occasionally has tough, stringy stems. Other options are o.k. too.Dietary restrictions: Need more options for low carbohydrate diabetes customers.Parking: In Every town nearby!

Ok their food is usually awesome. The service is great. The only real issue I have is with their newest billboard advertisement at the 4 way stop coming iñto caney from Coffeyville. It reads simply seniors eat free 2-4 pm everyday. That's all. No astrix saying any disclaimers . But when a senior does go between 2 and 4 it's not free. Itsbuy one and get 2nd one, maybe. Just know this is not accuraté advertisement and very misleading.

Never been here before and we were passing through at noon. It was clean and roomy with a large menu. They serve breakfast all day. I was happy to see a Monte Cristo sandwich on the menu. They are few & far between and a favorite of mine. It was really good. I would stop again.

Great French toast, kids pancakes, and the Rancher's Supreme Omelet! The service was good, it seemed like there was a lot of teamwork going on. I enjoyed our brunch there and highly recommend it. We wish there was one in Arkansas City!!

The chicken salad sandwich I had was great! It was chunky, flavorful, and way better than most chicken salads that you get at most restaurants. The wheat berry bread that cam with it was great, too. The signature baked potato soup I had that came with it was delicious also: hot, chessy, hammy, and creamy, with green onions on top. And I had fruit with my meal. It was delicious and filling. I wasn't crazy about the coffee: it was weaker than I'm used to--I'm from Louisiana--but even that had a good flavor, and the waitress kept refilling it. Oh yeah--the service was very good and fast. I'd never been to an Eggbert's before--I don't live anywhere near one--but now that I know about the chicken salad sandwich, I'd come back anytime I'm near one.

Our waitress was such a lovely person, very attentive. The food was wonderful. Overall a great experience. We will be using it in the future as our go to while traveling through the area.

This place is a disaster. Walked in, said good morning and smiled, met with a bad attitude off the bat. Sat and waited 15 minutes before getting our order taken. Owner/manager came by and told us we were going to wait for a waitress to get out of the bathroom before taking our order. Finally got to order biscuits with sausage gravy and some eggs. Gravy didn't have sausage in it so I asked if I was charged for sausage gravy. Waitress told me "Oh well it happens" and that all gravy is the same charge. Asked for a refill on my coffee after having it empty for 10 minutes. Waitress asked the owner/manager if she could get coffee for me. Owner/manager was PLAYING ON HER PHONE AND ROLLED HER EYES as though doing her job was a major inconvenience. She then went behind the counter and took a picture of me on her phone - blatantly obvious, held the phone at an angle pointed right at me. I called her out but she denied it. She later made comments about posting my picture next to the TV to the waitress, to which they both laughed and said "Good idea." Had I been in a bad mood I might could understand a reciprocated bad attitude, but there was absolutely no reason for this behavior. Was a restaurant manager for 2 years and never witnessed any employee behave in this manner. And if I had they would not have a job the next morning, I promise you that. Totally unacceptable from a customer service standpoint.

Waitress forgot food. Cook seemed upset cause she had another customer to wait on, couldn't go to break. Food was luke warm, fried okra & zucchini was bland. Waitress didn't check on customer til time to present bill. Only reason they get one star is because the sweet tea was pretty good.

We eat at Eggbert’s, Caney, KS a couple of times each month — usually very good food & service. However, this time my husband ordered chicken fried steak meal. The chicken fried steak was a dry, dark, dense & tough meat. Looked like a thin piece of leather. We notified our waitress who kindly offered a replacement. But of course you always hear stories that if you offend the chef they may sabotage your replacement meal. And once you are laserved bad food you really don’t want a replacement. He told the waitress that we would still pay for the meal. So, we were charged full price for a meal that was not consumable. We were not offered the option to speak with a supervisor or manager or offered a replacement for future. We will most likely ever go back or recommend this Eggberts.

If you would have asked me a month ago this business would have gotten four stars, but I regret to say that two stars is all this business deserves now, because the food was very good. Also, no return trips or take out orders will be made here ever again. A thing I value as much as taste in a meal is the customer service. My wife and I ordered food for our family last night and were ready to enjoy a tasty meal from Eggberts. Everyone opened their boxes and were happy, then I opened mine. Much to my dismay, my pork chop dinner had two pieces of sheet thin pork chops. It was almost as if someone took one pork chop and thinly sliced it into two. I've ordered this meal before and had two healthy looking pork chops, which I'm sure were the 5 oz. as advertised. I thought surely someone mistook the breakfast chops for the dinner chops. Then I called to report my findings and ask for the missing pork. The lady on the phone, who is the manager, was very apologetic but said her boss wouldn't make it up to me. She said that she talked to her boss, yet they said that nothing was wrong with my order. Customers aren't always right, but I know what I ordered the past times were thicker. The photo online is thicker, from the same store! Needless to say this has put a sour taste in my mouth. This business could have handled itself more professionally.The owner needs to realize customers help put a roof over their heads, gas in their vehicles, employees with paychecks, and pay for overhead costs. Customer retention is what keeps their business afloat. What do I know? I just have a college degree in business. This place is a good place to go, if you don't mind having the owner not care about you. The food tasting great is what made me atleast give it two stars for trying. Maybe the owner's ego will let them learn from this and not lose anymore business, other than my family's? Maybe going to college for a business degree might help them? In the meantime, we will eat elsewhere. Well worth the 15 minutes drive to Coffeyville, in order to eat somewhere a business puts its customers first over their ego. God bless capitalism! Gives my family more options than this place. Maybe I shouldn't have wrote a bad review, but my principles influence me more than my stomach. Two pork chops could have made this place thousands more dollars, by keeping my family's patronage. It just baffles me how poorly the owner values their customers. You all have a blessed day, now! :-)

The staff was GREAT! We came for breakfast and it was absolutely delicious. I tried one of the skillets and a pancake. It was so much good for such a great place. I will be back for Sure!

Even for Eggberts this was a pretty bad breakfast. Sausage gravy had no sausage in it. My order of two biscuits was one tiny biscuit cut in half & toasted to hide the fact that is was stale.Eggs were runny & had an unpleasant taste & smell.Just can't recommend this one at all.
