I almost always check out their sale items in the vegetable department.Older milk, too. I separate the milk into 8-oz. bottles &, put them in my freezer. They look cloudy frozen &, later, thaw in the door space to the original color.I eat the vegetables as snacks.

We told the cashier, (Caroline) that all items were together but when she got to the divider those were to be bagged separately. Someone came to help bag, (which wasn't necessary as they weren't busy and she took away the divider so the bagger was putting those items here there and everywhere by the time I caught it. I had to go through all the bags and re bag what was to remain separate.

I always buy some of seasonings at Hoover's when I go down to Burlington. Hoover's have alot of selection of flavored seasoning, too!

INCREDIBLE selection for a small town 'Mom & Pop' grocery store! The staff are helpful and very friendly too. The produce is always fresh, and the meats are pretty top notch. They even have whole bean coffee!Yes... Hoover's is a bit pricey, but who wants to drive 40 miles for a can of tuna?

Owners are not good. Pay employees very little and expect alot. Always short staffed. Have a lot of young kids working because they can't keep adult staff. Store is great. Great location and has alot of potential if ran right.

This is a nice store with lots of nice and different merchandise. They have some good gluten free options. They also have a water dispenser which is terrific. Pricing is a little high but not that bad. I would gladly give 4 stars but they do not offer a bathroom AT ALL.They have money orders and a deli and nice fresh fruit.I wish they could offer a bathroom. Many older people and young folks just cannot go far without a bathroom.Thanks.

I've known this family for many years. They always have EXCELLENT customer service!! The prices are reasonable, too. I don't go here often, because I don't live in the immediate area, but if I need groceries when I'm down that way, I make a point to go there.

Love this Hometown Store. I live 2 hours away but whenever I pass through I like to stop by. They have a lot of items I don't see at Dillon's in Topeka, especially seasonings, rubs and sauce mixes. Highly recommend

I wouldn't go back to that place if they paid me. Was a loyal customer until they made their snarky high school punks the mask police. I am exempt from wearing a mask but they told me I had to leave. So, I'll just shop where I am appreciated from now on because they do not value their customers. Wife has been going there for 15 years and was never treated the way she and I were today.

Very nice grocery store, they do a wonderful job of making sure the inventory is as vast as ive ever seen in a small hometown market.These people at hoovers actually take pride in the job they do of pleasing there customers, of course not as CHEAP as a Walton family outlet - but do feel its fairly priced as only grocery for atleast 35 miles in any direction.Buy a pkg of there 80/20 hamburger and see it tastes like ground steak = true steak burgers 🙂

Great hometown grocery where they still have paper bags if you want them and they wheel your purchases to your car.Friendly people, excellent quality meats. This is not a superstore so it won't take an hour to walk it all.

They have a few things I haven't seen in larger stores. There is even a pharmacy inside. I was able to easily find all of the basics and then some. The location is convenient and easy to find, right off Highway 75. I tried some of the smoked chicken thighs and they were terrific. The checkout staff were cheerful and helpful.

Hoover's is a full service grocery store that happens to be 17 miles exactly from home. Located in Burlington. A good selection of grocery items including sugar free ice cream and other frozen confections which is hard to find in these parts. They have a good pharmacy there too...

The staff can be rude, especially in the evenings and on weekends. Daytime isn't so bad, but owners are there. Sunday afternoons are the worst, it's all high school kids who are worried about nothing but the clock. Today they didn't even bother to ask if I wanted to use points. I shop elsewhere when possible

These people don't care if you have a health concern that would negatively impact you by being forced to wear masks. Don't be fooled. Your health isn't the priority to these people. It's appearances which equates to profits. As of now your choices are obey or starve. One to save many, or perhaps just themselves.
