Two nurses were rude and had bad bedside manners toward one of the animals. They should never make fun of a potential customer, because they ask a question, no matter how it sounds to them.I do not plan to ever go there for service. I sometimes ask questions to feel a place out. Reply with polite answers, and I will be your customer with recommendations.The only thing good about the place was it looked nice and smelled nice.

I have 2 cats. My first cat got sick and we could not find anyone to take her in the Joplin area so we found Kemp. My husband took her in and I said I think she’s suffering from maybe a uti and bacteria infection in her mouth (since she’s had that before) She was given a vetalog shot and amoxicillin. He did NOT do one lab or anything. My first cat died exactly one week from the day she was seen by Kemp. I didn’t think anything of it at first until my second kitty got sick. I took him to Kemp and the next morning was awful. He could barely walk. He was given the same vetalog shot. I thought this can’t be a coincidence. I took him to animal clinic of the 4 states and they did lab work and determined his liver is bad. They said the vetalog will progress liver problems. My poor cat could barely hold his own head up and had to have a couple of laser treatments. He is still on the road to recovery. Kemp blindly treats. If you’re looking for a great vet go to animal clinic of the 4 states.

Kevin Kemp is such an amazing vet. When the tornado hit baxter he opened his doors to the animals that couldn't go to hotels or motels. He treats animals the way they should be treated, as family. I moved to joplin from baxter and I make the drive any time an animal needs a vet appointment. I will not take them to any other vet other than him. He is gentle with them all and you can tell he loves his job just as much as he loves the animals he helps.
