Wellsville DG sold me a faulty item and wouldn’t do anything about it. This store went above and beyond to make the situation right. I called in advance to explain the situation and they already had everything ready when I got there. Great staff

I recently moved to Balwin City from Texas. I would frequent the Dollar General locations there. I’ve noticed a big difference between the cashiers at this particular DG. Even though it's a smaller town, the line can be just as long to check out. It seems that this staff is very well managed. Their attentiveness is so much appreciated. Crystal has gone out of her way to help me find things with genuine kindness. As mentioned in the beginning, every single person is wonderful, I just wanted to acknowledge Crystal today and let her know she's appreciated.

Cashiers are all friendly and helpful. It was crowded because they had a bunch of sale stuff right by the single cashier. In their defense they had it inside due to pouring rain. They are trying to get too many items in this store. They need to tidy up bit.They are a godsend in this small town.

I love my Dollar General. Couponing on Saturdays is a ritual in our house now. Every Saturday is a $5 off $25. Plus all of the added coupons is an amazing recipe for savings. And I mean MEGA savings, you should download the app. Everyone working here is very sweet and helpful. I'm happy that I can find such great savings in our small town.

Went here last night. The sign on the door said they had resumed normal business hours, then right next to that was a small piece of paper that said closing at 9:40 pm. We literally just got there at 9:40. The girl came out just ranting about how they were closed and that 9:45 pm was the new hours set for ALL Dollar Generals now. My boyfriend pointed out that it wasn't even 9:45 yet. She said that she could close when she wanted and five minutes wasn't a big deal. Except, the closest dollar general to this one is Edgerton or Lawrence, so it was rather a big deal. She was making faces (literally like tongue sticking out), saying horrible things (you would have thought she was 5), then she started threatening us with the police (we literally had done nothig wrong, we were still in our car). I was half tempted to call the police myself, the whole situation was literallt ridiculous. Instead, we just left. Some people really just shouldn't work retail. Unfortunately, we'll take our busniess elsewhere as long as she's employed there.

The guy who works there is really unsanitary I wasn’t going to say anything untill I bought my water from there he decided to touch the mouth part of my bottle and grab it that way he already smells really badly and it’s clear that he isn’t sanitary at all I have had to disinfect my bottle because it was so nasty. I don’t think someone with that low hygiene should even be able to work with costumers... he also likes to purposely touch your hand everytime when you hang him change or take the recipe.

The staff here is first-rate. The only downside to this store is navigating past loaded delivery carts, but this is a corporate issue, they don't allow enough man hours for stocking the shelves in this always-busy store.

As with any Dollar general, it has all your basic needs. Nothing special about it but it's definitely needed in Baldwin city. The staff are decent, it's what you expect to see/experience in a small town general store.

They are always friendly and helpful. In this hatd time were in i cut my arm and it starting bleeding. The cashier gave me a bandaid and even helped me. My favorite DG of anywhere

Good friendly place. Mrs. Dorothy is always in good spirits no matter what shes going through. I love going here Mrs. Dorothy always knows just how to make my day.

It's emptyThink they hoard everything in the back room and pick out what they want to take home and to put everything else out for all the other people all the other dollar stores Edgerton Gardner Lawrence are always stocked with stuff this one here is always empty with nothing corporate should do something

This is the worst DG around. They never have enough help. They go off and leave one person to check out everyone. And they don't even care. Their attitude is "If you don't like it go somewhere else" I am sick of it. No management!!

This store is horrible in all aspects. There is hardly anyone ever at the register, boxes are always stacked in the aisles, and they are out of so many things. Really need to get the store together.

Love Wellsville New Dollar General long overdue thank you so much we can go buy things that don't have dust on the cans outdated meat in the freezer with ice two inches thick you get my drift
