Nice small town grocery that always has those last minute things you need ! Clean , friendly atmosphere and large selection of produce. They support local growers. They had huge bags of fresh pecans at Christmas!

I absolutely love the staff here, they are hard-working and always friendly. I had to change my review because unfortunately I noticed heavy price gouging during the peak of the pandemic. The prices are ridiculous and a lot of the food I have purchased had been stale. It is better for my family to drive to Lawrence and shop at Aldi than shop here. If you absolutely need something and can handle the extra cost it's no big deal. $20 does not go far here... Not even 100.

Nice to have a market in our small town but it is very expensive. Only use it to pick up a couple things when I run out would never do complete grocery shopping there.

Great little small town grocery store. Prices are competitive, sometimes less than bigger stores!

The first thing that stands out is the staff - helpful, friendly, they really care whether or not your shopping experience was a good one. Pretty good selection for a store its size, and if they don't have it, they'll try to get it for you. The only reason I can't give them five stars is their prices. Don't get me wrong, I fully understand the economies of scale, and obviously they can not compete with the prices of the big stores in neighboring towns. But expect to pay a lot more for those items.Bottom line: if you're doing monthly or bi-monthly stock up, you probably want to drive the 20 miles to one of the big stores. For everything else, you can't go wrong staying here.

We like having the market in town because of the convenience and the "small town" kindness. Of course the prices are a bit higher, BUT, it saves us time and gas from a longer trip to a "big box" store, so it balances out.We are also impressed at the changes being made to improve the quality of products in the store.

We live in Wellsville. For a small town store this is always great. Some of the best meat I've had other than fresh. Good prices. Very nice people and a nice hometown feeling. Love it. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For a small town, it's okay. They don't keep their meat very well stocked, especially if they're running a sale. We almost always have to ask if they have any in the back. Which usually results in an employee being frustrated by having to look. We no longer go here unless it's absolutely necessary, don't like the attitude we get when asking questions.

I can find most everything I need from grilling to the kitchen. The money you save going Walmart in Lawrence or Ottawa is made up in time you save going here.

I've lived in Baldwin City for almost a decade. I was thinking the other day that the Baldwin City Market means as much to us as the Maple Leaf, if not more. We buy all of our groceries at BCM. I am glad Baldwin City was able to shoo away Walmart several years ago.

It doesnt have as big of a selection as the larger stores in other towns, but for the few items u need to get by they have it. For me, I like walking in to a store and recognizing people, seeing the same friendly faces. Its a good small town market.

A wonderful small town grocery. Real folks, good service and products. Sure the prices are a bit higher, no one has the buying power of a mega company like Walmart but the couple dollars extra per trip are well spent. We especially enjoy the local produce and small batch meats. Their fresh meat cooks up better and tastes better than that from a giant chain. BCM's in-house fresh sausage grinds (Western, Italian, Chorizo etc.) are all especially delicious. Stop and shop with confidence!

This market, although it is the only market in Baldwin, has pretty much everything you need in a small town grocery store. All of their produce is usually pretty fresh and they have plenty of healthy options for people that want to eat right and still save some money here and there.

I really like this little grocery store and really want to love it but some of the prices are so absurdly high that I have to make up reasons to go in there. I mean some of the stuff is 2 to 2.5 times the price you can get it at Wal-Mart but I still shop there a couple times a month.

They stock most of the groceries a family would need. It is arranged neatly and space to social distance. The Baldwin City residence are fortunate to have a food market.

I'm a disabled veteran, on O2 all the time, carrying a O2 machine, and also can't walk very far. They had no electric carts for someone like me. Shame, I had to get a couple of things, then leave. I would have looked around, and probably purchased more, but my legs wouldn't last long enough. I may not be back. Sorry.

Always helpful. Lots of inventory. Organics on some items. In season items from local small farmers. Open convenient hours. For a small town store you couldn't ask for more.

Always helpful and Friendly...costs a bit more, but saved the time and trip elsewhere, plus u will likely see 3 or more friends or acquaintances while there. What you'd hope of a small town grocer.

Helpful folks. I needed something and asked where to find it. The employee stopped what he was doing and thought it could be in a couple places but was not sure. He even had to ask another employee. I had two helping me. Above and beyond service.
