113 years and 5 generations in the family, this still is a great grocery store, with a lot of small town atmosphere. The service was outstanding and very friendlyBesides the small town friendly atmosphere, the deli and the butcher shop stood out. On the deli side the ham salad is known as there stand out but I liked there assortment of cheeses, personally.The Meat side is more to my liking. I ended up buying and trying the Ham Salad, Hawaiian Bratwurst, Boss Hog sausage and some sausage links. All were really good but the Hawaiian Brat was my favorite.They also make there own rubs and spices that I am yet to try.

I’m new in town and a friend referred me here. I love this shop. Friendly and Terrific meats. Can find everything basic to shop for. Their meat is fresh and hand cut. Love this local grocery store! Their meat is great! My favorite is the boss hog sausage, but the ham salad is a close second! But you won't go wrong with any of the steaks or ground beef.

Like Domenique’s or The Hardware Store, this is one of those small town treasures. They have hands down the best meats in town, and such a wide selection of groceries that you will ask yourself what the hell Walmart is doing with all that extra space.

Best place to get groceries in Atchison. Small hometown store. Friendly staff. No mass rush of people. The meat department is amazing. They will even work with you on special orders. Meat and deli counter staff is also helpful and friendly.

The meat counter is the best in the area. I recommend the boss hog sausage...great flavor; and the pork tenderloins are perfect for chicken fried with mashed potatoes and gravy!

Very clean, shelves well stocked and prices clearly visible. Friendly staff and the meat section was like a step back in time. People choosing what they wanted and the meat being wrapped right in front of you.

Probably the best grocery around. The people seem to have the same manners that you expected in the 50's and 60's helpful and warm. The meat department is unbelievable with it's quality.
