Better stock than St. Joseph, but store wasn't very clean. Too many teenagers at one time and most were very rude. Store staff couldn't care less if you were there or not.

UPDATE***The store is trash. The section of greeting cards has no lighting. There is a hole in the floor since the 70s. Don't go in the wrong door or you will be w parolees checking in for month. I have written and called mgrs but nothing changes. This is the worst $$$ I have ever been in. I use sanitizer when I get back to my car. The place is filthy and expensive!The people are friendly and they usually have what I need, but the stores are so messy. They don't have enough room in there for all the merchandise so it's often left on carts in the very narrow aisles.

Worst customer service experience ever! While checking out, I tried to put in my phone number so I could get my discounts and coupons. However, before I could, our cashier Jewel cleared the screen. When I asked her if she could go back so I could put in my rewards number (which I have been able to do before) she asked me why I was being difficult?!?! I said I was not being difficult, but I just wanted my discounts because I am a broke college student. She then said that she was new and did not know how to do that so I asked her if she could get someone who could. However, she said her manager was outside and that she did not feel like going to get her. As someone who has worked as a customer service associate, I was appalled by this experience and will not be going back.

Good people work here. Yes, the lines can get long during busy hours but it's expected. Some people don't have the patience to wait their turn.The staff are good people just trying to their job and definitely deserve a raise, for how helpful and polite they are at this store.

I always like to stop in here from time to time, I'm an plumber and they always got good prices on toilet bowl cleaners and heavy duty putty knives for when a bad house call arise i can get most of the stuff off and make a brown bowl look new for awhile.

The store was dirty. Very poor lighting. Other than the check out girl, I didn't see any other employees. The check out lady was very nice..They had a squeeze toy pig at the check out counter that a person was supposed to squeeze for help, it was filthy, we are still in a pandemic so that was not acceptable. Atchison needs to overhaul their store, or better yet tear the old one down and build a new one. I've seen nice and clean DG elsewhere and I would definitely shop there a whole lot more if that were the case. It still needs to be in the same location because a lot of people rely on that store. That place is an accident ready to happen. I wish I would of taken pictures.

People are very nice for the most part. One manager gives me the creeps and the store is in disarray. But I keep going because they have the best prices on certain things. But seriously every other dollar general I've seen is at least 2x nicer than this mess of a store.

When it comes to space as in isles spacing they'd have to fail because even as I've lost weight it's difficult for even I to get down some of their isles. As far as customer service, I'd say the girls are pretty efficient, as far as where and what they have available for most items but we get sometimes get scattered, but they do above average in comparison to most other stores' staffs that I've dealt with personally.

I go to this dollar store all the time because it’s close. It used to be different, it is now dirty, the shelves are always empty basically of everything. You need Tylenol too bad you won’t find it there. I went there to get trash bags once and they had none on the shelf. I’m told they are not allowed to just order things that are needed they have to have permission to order items so the store just don’t have anything? I find that hard to believe and once a delivery comes it is sitting in aisles for days not being put away.

This place really needs a good cleaning. It's just disgusting. On top of being cluttered. There's all these carts and boxes in every isle. If you are handicapped, or maybe even over weight, there's no way you'd be able to maneuver around the store. I won't give this store anymore of my business.

Horrible! Just Horrible! This has to be the dirtiest, messiest, most run down Dollar General in Kansas. I feel sorry for the people who try to work there. Random piles of stuff strewn about the shelves, the food section was mostly empty unless you want cereal or coffee. No order at all, just a big mess. I'd give it zero stars if I could.

It is what it is and will most likely have everything you need but not so much everything you want. Its got friendly people and it is mostly organized. Giving the building its in it can feel small and sometimes you need the five second rule but don't be a weak sauce! See you there

Our DG is not very clean & it is very cluttered. I feel that we need a bigger building for DG. They could do 100% better with the cleanliness also. That is a big deal. Locals complain about how dirty it is so you know visitors do too.

Ppl are nice but over worked and under payed the store looks dirty but is ok I guess they are always unpacking there Inventory because there's not enough ppl to work. CorpDG really should take a look I'm sure they would want to fix the problems that there Atchison branch is facing

The ONLY reason this is getting a 3 is because of the kindness of the employees. Management and ownership should be embarrassed. This is how brands get damaged permanently through poor representation and seemingly a lacking any ambition to improve their imagine. If I were in charge for a day, I’d ask the owners, managers and DG brand to pack up and leave. I’m certain that once they are gone, Family Dollar or someone would gladly take their place and even build a new store. Even without Covid I’d wear a mask shopping in this store. Again, love the employees though...very kind and helpful.

So glad there's a new manager taking over. I actually stopped going because the old one would sleep in his car, And wouldn't open the boxes if they were a sale item, when it clearly said what it was on the outside. Welcome to the new manager

This store is disgusting, dirty, and ALWAYS has stock carts blocking the isles. There are often items on the floor.During the COVID quarantine the door displayed a sign that masks were required employees were often not wearing a mask and no attempt was made to ask shoppers to Don a mask.

Place smelled bad tonight. So bad, my husband and I watched a customer spray air freshener throughout the store because the smell was so pungent! It's always cluttered, majority of the time the employees only have 1 register open and lines are long. I really don't want to go out of my way, and cross town to go to Walmart, but I might start too.

Just plain right dirty. No excuse for this. Cashier didn't say hello nothing. To busy on his phone. Why are all the other stores clean and neat and Atchison is a disgrace. It sure doesn't give Dollar general a very good name. Fix the dam store or close it.

I love Atchison's store. The employees are wonderful. But the store is dirty, and cluttered. I love the location but Atchison's store needs a rebuild. There is plenty of room to build onto the store on the left side parking lot.

Went in to get household needs. With a family member and when we went to check out Summer Reichart was the cashier and my family member went ahead of me. Summer Reichart decided to bad mouth my husband on front of other customers!!!! Tell his business and everything!!!!

The dollar general in Atchison is the most disgusting store around. It is filthy dirty. Smells like sour milk. Disorganized clutter everywhere all the time. All other towns get new buildings and ours is so awful. Don't shop there. They don't deserve a star at all.

They could use a larger store in Atchison Ks. Plus more help to keep boxes picked up and cleaner floors. Plus you could probably pay them better. If you have good help, pay them !!!

Dollar has some great deals. Get my buddy Boomer his dog treats there . Charmin and creamer is cheaper. They have friendly workers always ready to help you out.
