There was a Filipino lady that was very rude. Told my coworkers about my experience here today and they also said they don't shop here because of their experience with her. Context: I bought a peach flavored red bull and honey flavored vicks cough drops today. I paid it thru apple pay in the self check out counter. I guess when I left that self check out counter accidentally scanned the Vicks cough drops. I was in my car ready to go, the lady caught up to me in the car and told me if I paid for my stuff in the self checkout. I said yeah and she said something along the lines of 'you need to see this with me cause you didnt' so I just went along with her also to show her that gurl im not stealing $5 worth of item from my local dollar general lol. I showed her my apple pay transaction cause thats what I used and she looked like she was proven wrong and didnt want no more trouble and waved me a good day but I'm she just pissed me off. This is Abilene Kansas, be nice lady and no one's stealing vicks cough drops and a redbull lol

The parking could definitely use improvements. The aisles need to be quite a bit more open, the layout in the store makes it difficult to get around in there. Definitely room for improvement over all. Staff, is always helpful and nice when I go in.

They rearrange everything. Not able to walk in and grab what I need. But it's fine. The manager is nice .and helpful. And you can get down the isles easier

The carts are never inside for customers to use. They really need a bigger store as they have lots of neat merchandise but not enough room to display it. This makes store always appear messy. Staff is nice & helpful.

Super cramped. I'm not sure if they were in the middle of a big reset or what, but there were boxes everywhere, lots of things did not have price tags, and many things were blocked due to stuff just being everywhere. The employees are helpful and nice, but the store needs more space or less merchandise

The isles are so so narrow as it is but leaving carts and boxes so plied up you literally can not go down the isle. They actually had the potato chip isle completely blocked. This store is in Abilene KS and compared to other stores Abilene's is just dirty! But it has been this way for years. Seems that DG just don't care.

The people that work here are nice but the store is way too small for all the merchandise they have. It's sometimes hard to get a cart down the aisles. I only go here when it's absolutely necessary.

Can not get to what you want for the full carts blocking your path! They need to stock one cart at a time instead of having full carts blocking every isle. I have walked out without buying anything due to the cluttered mess

I heard a employee talking to a customer like they were a piece of garbage and had to wait in line almost 20 minutes because there was only 1 other cashier and she was getting the wrath from the 1st employee and customers who were tired of waiting. The first employee needs to learn some people skills

It takes too long to get anyone to realize that, half of the time, the shelves in the store are never stocked in the area of the hygiene area or off the shelf over the counter drugs, like cold formula or medicated foot powder. I have to go to Salina to get what I need instead, but we live in Abilene. It is pretty sad, that every time I go to the store in Abilene, I can never find what I need for my family.

The manager, crystal, is very good and has done a lot for that place! If it weren’t for her, it might have already closed because of previous management. I love going there and getting good deals because there are not a lot of places in Abilene to shop!

As Dollar General's go, this one is pretty good. The staff was friendly, the prices are cheap like most Dollar General's are. The place looks like most of these.. not the greatest LOL. Still... 3 out of 5 stars, we'll be back when we drive through Abilene, KS.

We found what we needed but they have that store packed. Way to much stuff with not enough space. Very narrow isles with displays blocking the way. Can't pass other customers in the isles. Literally have merchandise stacked anywhere and everywhere. Luckily the staff knew were almost everything was!

Its a very very run down building. Way too small for the items per square footage. That's why it looks cluttered. Not organized at all. I'm surprised that the firemarshall allows it. If it was bigger maybe it would look nicer.

Walking around for 5 minutes and hadn’t found anything, lady got snippy and acted snobby about us being there. Feeling forced to buy something we left. Won’t be going back.

Horrible store. Items not organized, long waiting lines, and when I visited the clerk left the front register with a line of people waiting because she was having problems. Returned and ended up having to switch registers. Nobody came to help her. Felt bad for her.

Hate going to the Abilene DG because they ALWAYS have carts full of unshelved items in all the aisles. Hard to move around, especially if more than one customer is in the aisle.

The one on solomon kansas id great staff is friendly and helpful...The one in abilene. When i asked for help finding something , they helped but acted like i was a bother.Will continue shopping at the one in Solomon where the staff is awesome

Floor is sticky and very dirty needs to be cleaned, and hand baskets are filthy, They need more help, they are slow at getting items out to restock. 5 min trip will take you 30 mins .

We like the new Dollar General store in Solomon, it is clean, neat, and organized. Some of the DG stores are a little messy, but provide a vital service to the community.

If the employees cleaned or organized as much as they tash talk people or other employees (in front of customers) maybe the store would be clean and easier to shop in.

Abilene KS Dollar general is the worst one, piss poor customer service, lazy staff the store is a wreck, can't get sale items up time sale is long gone. Just skip this store not even worth your time, just a pathetic place.

Oh I haven't been to stores in days I hurt so bad getting old is not a good thing I think but I heard that Dollar General the first hour was for senior citizens so I thought I would be the one of the first people there so I can get some tissue paper because I'm out go figure and I walked in and the young girl said the first hours for only senior citizens I thought that was very rude I'm not sure what part of an old woman walking in the store with gray hair was in a senior citizen is 8:15 a.m. March 18th 2020 Abilene Kansas
